Service was great. Our server was polite and attentive. The atmosphere was nice. Went with my family in the middle of the afternoon Sunday, group of 8. The seating accommodated us all. I personally had the shrimp and chips, and it was amazing. I love seafood. So I am able to identify how good this dish was. We also ordered the ceviche which comes with tortilla chips. I lived in the keys for a couple of years and absolutely loved this place for lunch. Try the Sharkey's Burger! Its a good sized burger with fries for a reasonable price. You can enjoy lunch out on the patio and watch all the dive boats come and go along the canal! The place gets pretty busy when Ocean Divers boats return to the dock because they are right next door and this seems to be the default spot for the divers to head to for lunch after they get back for there trips. At night this is a great bar, drinks are good and the staff is great. In the bar hours this place draws a pretty young crows compared to other places around Key Largo. Mainly populated with dive instructors from Ocean Divers and Rainbow Reef Dive Center. Sharkey's is also one of the few locations in Key Largo that has pool tables, which is a major plus for them! Easily on my list of spots to enjoy drinks when I visit Key Largo in the future. read more

20 min to get a beer, but the food was pretty good. I went to Sharkey's with a group of about 12 people. So, I kind of expected service to be a little slow. But 20min for a beer? Seriously? Fortunately, that was not a prelude of things to come and service did pick up. When the food came out, it was good. Not awesome, but good. They also cooked up the fish we caught that day, which was pretty cool. The surprise on the menu was the tacos. You only get two of them. But they are monstrous! It's really like getting 4 tacos. Visiting for 3 nights, the 6 of us ate there the second night. It was so good we ate lunch there the day we left. Everything was good. The wait staff was great. The chef even came out to apologize for a salad being delayed, and took it off the bill. We definitely will be back if we are in the area again. This isn't a big place, and it is a bit of a hole in the wall but the food is great. From the tacos, to the burgers, salads, appetizers. All very good. Great Rum selection as well. read more

This is a dive bar through and through, in the traditional sense as well as the SCUBA sense, since it's next to or across the canal from multiple dive shops. Great place it hit after diving, or just to watch the boats come back full of stoked divers. They have the best draft beer selection in the upper Keys and are always mixing it up with new kegs. The food is pretty typical for the keys but they do sometimes have a buffalo cauliflower appetizer that is really good. read more

As a repeat patron of Ocean Divers, I have found myself a customer of Sharkeys more than a half dozen times. It is great place to get a drink and some food. They have safe food, not risky pre boat ride, and some food I find best to stay away from prior to spending the day out on a boat. Foods good, drinks are cold, staff is nice. Bathrooms are iffy at times but never so bad as to need a hazmat team. The only issue I ever have here is that the outside seating area's railing does not get cleaned as often as I think it should as there is always bird dung on it so if you forget and lean out to see the African Queen go by then you are in for an avain present... read more

Great service, great happy hour food. Mahi bites are the best!!!!!!! Mahi tacos blackened were excellent too -good portions. Good drink prices, good food, great view and great service. This is definitely a locals hangout (loved the guy with the tiny white poodle and the older couple with the Siamese cat in a harness/leash.) Lots of opportunities to social distance outside on the patio-lessen the viral load. Take a dive trip with rainbow reef -and after five happy hour drink and food 3-6pm and you have yourself a perfect day in key largo. read more

This place has the best fish taco's out of all major beach cities I have traveled across the country! I was recommended to this place 4yrs ago and had to come back today! Sure enough these tacos did not disappoint! I'm from Las Vegas and I sure wish we had tacos like these! One taco is big enough to fill you up but why not just have two! This place is an absolute dump! I would avoid it at all costs (McDonald's in a gas station is a step up). We were told to sit anywhere we want, so we went upstairs to sit at two open tables. There was one other table with two people upstairs. The server greeted us by saying that she preferred we sit downstairs as she had too many tables (1). When we said we preferred the upstairs, she said it will be slow and we need to have patience. She also said we couldn't move tables to bring our party of 8 together. TBH, it doesn't even deserve a one star, I just can't believe that service was extremely poor today, VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! We are on vacation and this was going to be our main meal after a long flight from NY and drive down to the keys. As soon as we came in, they fixed a table for us, we sat down, and waited for the server to come by! He did but with an awkward and discriminating vibe towards us. He seemed like he did not want to be at work or serving us in general. Idk if it was because we were touristing or speaking another language, but he seemed to have something against us. Anyways, We got our drinks, I gave him our orders for My mom, my Girlfriend and myself ! After that we didn't see him for a while, then I saw him behind the counter inside on the phone with one of his coworkers. Meanwhile, we needed another drink and were still waiting on food,(SERVICE PLEASE) just about 30 minutes SINCE we put our order in . I then proceeded to ask another server to please check on our food and also if she could bring my mom another beer. Our original server came out, and said (mumbled) "you scared me I thought your order didn't go through " or something " but it's coming...I put it in ." About ten minutes later, he brings my mom a beer that we asked for and just took upon himself to bring me one as well thinking he was doing the right thing? when he said "this one is warm here's another one for you" I thought oh great thanks. I got a free beer because the previous one got warm while I was waiting for my meal (once again just about 45 mins) When our food finally hit the table, the order was completely wrong. Again, server did not come to the table to check if we needed anything or to check if everything came out okay! I spoke to a manager, and explained what happened, seemed apologetic and said he would fix it for us. Then I sit back on the table, the server comes to the table, says he put in the food correctly and shows me a receipt. He starts to argue with me, it's an easy fix and proceeds to argue. I told him it was unacceptable the amount of time we were waiting for food and was going to decide if we were going to stay or not. He storms off the table all pissed off. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! . The manager comes back with tortilla chips and fries in his hands. But it was too late! I said we are going to just paid for our drinks and leave. The manager offered for us to take food home for free but by that time we lost our appetite. Lastly, for the best part, The beer the server brought to me to compensate for the one that got warm earlier was on the check. I paid, left zero tip and sorry not sorry, not ashamed to say so. We felt unwelcome, and discriminated against for no reason. HOW DARE YOU? The lack of urgency from management to fix anything was horrifying. I hate to say it or even pull the race card but yeah Server WAS RACIST! Seriously Disgusting We will never be back ! This is a hard one to come back from ! read more
