We worked primarily with Jacalyn at Sharko's catering, but candidly, the entire Sharko's team and family were absolutely incredible the entire time we worked with them and we were SO incredibly pleased with the food, service, overall experience and wonderful care they put into making our wedding day absolutely amazing! We had out tasting in early January for our late February wedding (trust me, I thought this was too late, but they assured me it was more than enough time) and the tasting was great- easy to schedule and communicate what we were interested in trying. The food was incredible and we were super excited to have them as our top contender for the wedding dinner! They helped set up our buffet dinner for just under 100 guests, made the table look beautiful, they ensured we had our meal before our guests (thank you!! Otherwise I don't think we would have had a chance to eat tbh), they filled our champagne glasses for toasts, and allowed us to customize every option from day one. On top of these things, the chef made sure to introduce himself and check on us throughout the night, the serving staff saved us appetizers during cocktail hour to ensure we were fed throughout the night and they made sure that we were taken care of first and foremost which just helped us feel that much more special. Our guests could not have raved more about the dinner and appetizers as well- told 'that was the absolute best meal I've ever had at a wedding' multiple times throughout the evening! We couldn't agree more :) We catered our dessert and cake from a local bakery, but they helped cut and serve desserts as well. I cannot tell you how absolutely wonderful the entire team was in making our evening the absolute most special night. Wow! Just wow! Where do I even begin? Our wedding day (March 9th) was an absolute dream come true, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredible team at Sharko's. From the moment we reached out to them, their communication was impeccable. They were responsive, attentive, and truly cared about our wedding! We had Sharko's cater my granddaughter's Celebration of Life. They presented us with a menu which we initially chose. Then we made several revisions and they were always so accommodating. The staff that did all the preparation, setup, service and cleaning was OUTSTANDING. We chose sandwiches (cut in half) which were so fresh and tasty. Several of my relatives commented on how good the roast beef was, not like the one you buy from the deli. We also chose lasagne which my Italian family and friends thought was delicious. The food was great, better than the other vendors on site, but just to be sure we got it right, we scheduled a tasting. Sharko's came through for our annual employee appreciation breakfast, lunch and dinner this year. They made 350 meals and delivered at 3 different times. It is tough to find a company that shows up on time with quality food for this amount of people and they delivered on everything they said they would. The commutation with them was seem less and gave us many different options for boxed meals during this crazy Covid season. I would highly recommend them. They made it so easy for us. Once again Sharko's Catering did not disappoint! We have a long history with this wonderful company and our parish Ministry Appreciation Dinner. With RSVP's of 500 it becomes a rather large event and Sharko's is always on the ball with plenty of hot & delicious food. This year we worked on changing up our menu and the guests were thrilled with the BBQ and choice of entrees. The catering staff even got into our dinner theme by wearing the same construction vests/hats that our parish staff were wearing - such good sports! I needed a caterer for a very special birthday party. I was referred to Sharko's by a friend who hosts very high end and often large events. I was sure that this would not fit within my budget, based upon my friend's very high standards. I was so happy to see that they were extremely reasonably priced, (much more reasonable than most!) Joann was so patient and flexible with my many changes, throughout the process and was so accommodating. I was able to mix and match a few items to meet the needs of my guests and was offered a variety of service levels. When the delivery van showed up to my event, I was expecting a quick drop off of boxes since I only required a drop off service. What we received, was a charmer named Curly with a top hat, the best personality, and the wit of a performer. He placed each item in its proper place on the buffet, arranges everything so it looked professional and beautiful. I was ecstatic. The display was beyond my expectations of boxes dropped off at the door. After he left, my guests wanted to know where he went, he was so much fun that they wanted him to come back! Next time, I'll be requesting Curly for certain. The quantity of food we received was so large and the guests commented repeatedly that this was the best catered food they had ever tasted. We used Sharko's for our annual corporate townhall meeting of 100 plus people. Ordering was quick and easy and they gave great recommendations of their menu to suite our employees. The sandwiches we ordered were Turkey with honey mustard, Roast beef with horseradish and Ham with chipotle mayo. The sides were orzo pasta, potato salad, cucumber salad and fruit. All of it was delicious. The fruit was very fresh and sweet. I did mess up on the arrival time so they got there pretty early and Gerry was very patient with me and waited for us to set up before he took off. My company and I contacted Sharkos 2 weeks ago to inquire about catering a corporate event in December. While the date we wanted was booked up, they did confirm they could make the food and drop it off for us. We were supposed to receive an email shortly after the conversation took place with a form to fill out so we could do a tasting, pick out our menu and put a deposit down. No emails came, so I followed up to see if those emails were coming, and still haven't heard anything. I left two voicemails and those haven't been returned either. I would have loved to have Sharko's cater our event, but the lack of communication is what is prompting me to leave 1 star. read more

Incredible service, delicious food, and great value!! The perfect trifecta is Sharko's! For my father-in-law's 70th bday party I decided we needed to have it catered instead of the family doing all the work. I did my research, contacted Curlie (who is amazing) and booked our event. We were not disappointed! We had an open house style meal with four apps and one hot entree. Curlie and Mary set everything up, took great care of us and left us very happy. Best of all, my in laws and all their guests were incredibly delighted with the food too! Fresh fruit, veggie tray, cheese spinach dip (which we ate by the spoonful) and the chicken stir fry.... Seriously good food, and I can be a little picky. We did full service, which was great..... They did all the clean up too! I highly recommend. Not sure what's up with the priority negative review...... Me and our 40 guests truly had nothing but good to say about our experience. We ordered the dinner buffet for a small holiday party of 35 guests, and we picked up the food from Sharko's. All of the hot food was very good. The dinner salad was your basic iceberg lettuce and tomatoes (but it was fresh) and I would have traded it for a small appetizer or cheese platter if I had known. And we had more than enough food for our guests! I agree with some of the other comments, their brick & mortar isn't in the best neighborhood, but don't let that scare you away. I used Sharko's catering for my March wedding this year. They far exceeded all of my expectations. We had them cater Mexican food for the wedding and it was phenomenal; we got a lot of compliments that it was the best wedding food people had ever tasted. We did buffet style and their dishes were very nice and classy. The servers did a great job making sure that everyone's water and wine glasses stayed full. We also rented the tables, chairs, and table cloths from them. They had a lot of options for different linens. They brought the tables the day before the wedding at the time I requested and set them all up with the linens so everything was ready to go the next day. We had our ceremony and reception in the same hall and they went above and beyond and did the whole rearranging in between the ceremony and reception, while serving appetizers in a different area. They were happy to do this and did an excellent job following the rough outline I had drawn. We hired Sharko's to cater our wedding and couldn't be happier with everything. We had it at our home and the brothers came to the house and helped us with the layout and were very accommodating about working around our availability. The guests loved the food. We had the short ribs, and apple chicken and it was great, as was the Hors D'oeuvres and wedding cake. The meatballs and stuffed mushrooms were so good I had people asking me if I could get the recipe. The table set up was very nice. The cushioned chairs looked good and were very comfortable. We were at a wedding last night and sharko's staff was talking so loud that we could not here the minister over them. The staff was very organized and looked like they knew what they were doing. I said looked! The waiters never bothered to fill my water glass. They didn't clear any plates until the evening was over. Ok now the food. REALLY bad. First of all the green beans tasted rubbery (which to me means frozen). The mashed potatoes were definitely out of a box. The beef was very dry and could only be eaten if u had the horseradish sauce on it. Ok so I thought to my self well they can't mess up a salad. I was wrong. The lettuce was wilted and the dressing tasted like Kraft. Recommendation dont us this company if u like good food or good service. read more

I have to sing the highest praises of Sharko's, just like many of these other reviews I was working with a pretty tight food budget for my wedding, and looking at catering choices was driving me crazy. I chose my wedding venue because it was open to vendors, hoping to find an affordable option. The venue did have a preferred vendor, Sharko's. Boy, am I glad. We talked to Gerard and scheduled a tasting. Sharko's does operate out of a warehouse office which may feel a little out of place, but this should not be a deterrent to any of you. Gerard and team are warm and welcoming. We did not feel upsold or pressured to add options. They worked with our budget easily. We chose a chicken florentine single entree buffet. Get the potato kugelis, you won't be sorry. I feel for the price, there was a lot included with buffet service. Gerard was easy to work with for the whole process. He was easy to reach through email, and if we had to make any changes, it would have been easy. For the food service, everything was smooth. I got to focus on my day and Sharko's took care of the rest. The buffet set up looked beautiful, the team was friendly, fun, and firing on all cylinders. The food was just as good if not better than our tasting. All the guests raved! The team also helped with cake service, even though they did not make it. If I haven't gotten my point across, do not hesitate to book Sharko's for your next catering event! You will not be disappointed. I'm going to go eat my leftovers now...
