This place to me was like a hole in the wall; and I love finding a good hole in the wall! I ordered the 2 item dinner. I ordered the catfish nuggets and medium shrimp with fries and hush puppies. The catfish and shrimp were fresh, plentiful, made to order and delicious! The fries were good and hush puppies were okay. All in all I was very pleased with my lunch. read more

Well, we are here based on the reviews. Just placed our order at the counter and now waiting on the food. My hope is that the food is better than the dining area would suggest. Sticky tables, split upholstery in every single booth, and lots of food crumbs in back of the seats. (I mean a lot...) No one has swept or vacuumed back there in a very long time. The woman behind the counter was not very friendly, but not everyone is overly engaging so I will not care about that if the food is great, Stay tuned.... Finished our meal and the catfish nuggets were very yummy! The fried cheese sticks were your normal freezer packed version served with restaurant packets of marinara sauce. The same for the fried mushrooms. The coleslaw was tasty, but the hush puppies were undercooked so there was dense raw tasting dough in the middle. My husband had the frog legs and they were a large size and he says delicious. I think their best feature is the light, cornmeal-based batter for the fish and legs. Overall, less than I expected based on the reviews, but I would definitely eat the catfish nuggets again. The next time, I will take it to go to avoid the sticky dining room. Great food and service. Terrible ambiance! I hope this place does so well, the owners can take a weekend to close and redo the interior completely! The food and friendly service deserve an environment as wonderful as they were! I got the large catfish nuggets with Cole slaw and fries and forced myself to finish every piece of fish! So light, so non-gamey tasting! It was complimented perfectly with the coleslaw and hush puppies. My friends had the shrimp as well and said they were excellent too. We were stuff but chose to take home a sampling of their homemade cakes and cheesecake for later, which were also deemed excellent! Will be back again our next visit to Conway! read more

Under-appreciated and overlooked. This spot is every bit as good as the LR counterpart, and it disappoints me that so many people in town have never tried it. My favorite place for catfish in town closed over a decade ago, and this is the only place around that I will order from in the years since. The value is exponentially better than any of their competitors, and the quality is lightyears beyond them, as well. One of the best spots for takeout in Conway, bar none. read more

As stated earlier, this is a real hole in the wall located in a strip mall. Went with family based on earlier reviews. We all had catfish and thought the catfish was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and hot and flaky on the inside. The FF were flash fried and had good texture and flavor. Hush puppies were nothing to brag about but were adequate. Now the negative..., the restroom was horrible and gross. Filthy just barely describes the condition. Based on condition of the bathroom, I would hate to see the kitchen. I ordered Shark's for lunch a couple of days ago and was not disappointed! Since I had never had their food before I decided to order a handful of items and get a bit of a feel for what they offered and what I might like the best. Here is a breakdown of how I felt about what: * Catfish Filet - This was a solid filet and was seasoned pretty well. That is my number one complaint with almost every place in Conway is that they don't season this fairly boring fish well enough. Shark's did well though, not the greatest filet around but definitely top 3 or 4. * Medium Sized Shrimp (fried) - These were crazy big, even for being the medium size, and tasted fairly fresh. It was a bit strange though because that is where they fell off. The batter didn't have much flavor that I could taste and it could have used a minute or two more cook time. Otherwise a solid 6.5/10 * Chicken wings (It's the whole wing, not like buffalo wings) - These were absolutely amazing! The batter (they are battered and fried) and seasoning was on point, the chicken tasted solid enough, and the seasoning sprinkled on top was really good. Would definitely recommend. * Pizza Puff (I think that was the name?) - Was pretty crazy good. It was simple, I imagine frozen then fried, and resembled a fat hot pocket but it was super light tasting and had great flavor. You only get 1 but it was worth the price for sure. * Fries - They were the twice fried style and were very tasty. Not much else is needed to be said. This restaurant has some delicious sandwiches and fish. They food was great and the service was excellent. A woman came in and went up to complain to them about my service dog and they explained to her that it was a service dog and I had every right to be there. I was very grateful to them for doing this. I highly recommend this place to my service dog friends as well because of this. read more

We have stopped here twice now when traveling. The catfish is good. Hushpuppies were small and average at best. Same for the slaw. I had no desire for the two slices of white bread so left them behind. Next time I may ask them not to sprinkle all the salt and seasoning on right before they bring it out. I had 10 wings dinner dish. I did half and half buffalo and lemon pepper. But my buffalo wings was soaked in the sauce and it was cold. My husband ordered medium shrimps and it was phenomenal. I would definitely go there again read more

If I see a sign that advertises their fish in the name, as this restaurant did, then I really want to try it out. I was so disappointed. I judge a catfish dinner as much by their sides as their catfish and this place failed. The only two sides they offer are french fries and cole slaw, and I don't eat either. So the nice girl who took my order said I could get extra hush puppies. Hush puppies had been sitting under the warmer too long and were dry and barely warm at all, hard to score a dry puppy. The catfish had been recently cooked, but it looked like a pre-battered frozen product, not freshly battered. The filet was very thin and the batter was not what I am used to when I order from a homestyle catfish place. Portions were okay, no complaints and the flavor of fish was okay, considering it's not fresh battered. If I was to tell you I will go back, I would by lying.
