My aunt and I are big on supporting Blacked Owned Businesses. Today was our first time visiting this establishment. When we arrived, the lady at the door escorted us to the elevator. I was feeling the graffiti inspired art. When we arrived to main floor, the staff greeted us . We were the first customers. I admit, the ambiance was nice. Out waitress Lyric was really nice and attentive. We all ordered the Creole Fried Catfish. They have a nice menu selection. I admit the food was good. Fish fried to perfection, the creole sauce was at first a little off putting but the more I tasted, the flavor was even more delicious. The rice was everything! Although, this establishment did faced a rocky opening with all the views and the unfair controversy in its beginning stages of being a new restaurant , they definitely did not disappoint. I admit. If I was originally supposed to be charged $4.99 why am I now being charged $10 when my food was made incorrectly not once but twice? When I asked Priscilla about the pricing she very rudely stated that my steak was not made incorrectly the second time it just was not made to my liking. As a person who ONLY orders steak at restaurants I am well aware of what a medium rare steak should look like. She was very condescending and the whole experience made me not want to patronize this establishment again. Oh, and I would also like to note that Priscilla, when told that everyone doesn't know how to make steaks properly and I am understanding of that and didn't make a big deal until they charged full price for the barely eaten waffle, stated that they have the "temperature thing", which I can only guess she was referring to a thermometer, to accurately prepare steaks, contradicted herself because if they utilized it my initial steak which she agreed was overcooked would have in fact been properly prepared.
