Order CONFIRMED and PAID FOR only to arrive and it to be unavailable. No acknowledgement from the staff. Do better. One job. Basic location and simple customer service. I don't know why I tried in the first place.

Fish Sandwich was really tiny but with Fries or Greens It was really good. Decided to order the Waterman's Catch(table behind me had ordered it OMG) Best thing about it, the Cole Slaw. It has a vinegar base. So good. Everything was fried hard hard hard batter peeled off( order not so hard) Comes with Fish(only had small piece fried so dark dark brown) 4 Scallops but there were 3 tiny pieces of deep fried crusty something that we thought tasted like Calamari. Subbed out Oysters for extra Shrimp. A lot of Shrimp, batter peeled right off so that was good for dipping in the Cocktail Sauce. Fries were ok. Order with Fish Sandwich we're so much better. Great price for $$. Good Music. Great view. Lots of laughs throughout bar. Would be good bar for Drinks and try the Baked Pimento Crab Tip...next time.

The Salt Line, Washington DC (Navy Yard)…read more Scoping out the Navy Yard, trying to find a restaurant for the six of us on the Wednesday that Bruce Springsteen was performing at Nationals Stadium, I spent the prior Sunday at The Salt Line (which is about a 10-minute walk to the stadium). I was there during brunch service and found a menu that covered a lot of bases. My main interest was seeing if they still offered fried clam bellies, a rarity in the D.C. restaurant scene. Nope, no bellies, but on offer under the brunch appetizers were Stuffies (three baked top neck clams, smoked linguica, lemon, breadcrumbs, house hot sauce, $13), along with more traditional starters, including clam chowder ($7 cup, $12 bowl), fried calamari (roasted garlic pomodoro sauce, fried cherry peppers & artichoke, lemon, $15). I ended up ordering the North Shore Roast Beef sandwich (horseradish cream, BBQ sauce, American cheese, onion roll, with fries, $19). More than enough for brunch and lunch the following day. Service was good, and the meal was excellent. Note the Salt Line's transparency, where it explains that "DC restaurants have been operating with dynamic and significant increases in labor wages, food costs, and the general cost of doing business in DC. We have chosen to implement a 4% operational surcharge - which does not go towards gratuity - as the most comprehensive way to address this." Seems to me to strike a decent balance, but I'm not all that up to date about the living wage issue in the services industry. In any event I respect The Salt Line's management for being up front about their surcharge policy.

Well Joe's Seafood checks every box and some others I didn't mention. The entire staff is professional, in a warm welcoming way. They ensure that your experience is a delightful one, filled with superb pampering service. And then there's the food !!! This is when I was totally floored... for starters the assorted bread basket for the table is absolutely delicious ( I literally had to force myself to stop alternating between the muffins and mini biscuits ) Since I was eating light today I ordered the seafood salad ( chilled lobster & shrimp on top ) and the salad was so fresh and had that crisp salad crunch that mesmerized my taste buds with every bite !!! DC hands down is one of the top restaurant city's in the country and Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is a big reason I can make that statement with absolute confidence !!!

They could have fit in a thimble. The stone crabs were tasteless. The best was the coleslaw. It took forever to get a glass of wine and ice tea. I will not recommned it to anyone. Ambiance was OK, the place was packed. People were very casual, which surprised me for such an expensive restaurant.

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. I also had a cocktail called the Endless Summer -- a tequila drink with this amazing foam on top -- and it was excellent. I asked the bartender for a recommendation, and she absolutely delivered. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I went by myself, sat at the bar, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and just an overall really enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back, and I absolutely recommend checking it out if you're at the Harbor.

Ale house is in the name so I guess we should have known but both gin drinks we ordered were not good. I will return to try more entrees and eat more of my favorite dishes however I will have to pass on drinks next time.

As an Old Town resident for the past 15 years, I've always included Hank's Oyster Bar - Alexandria in my short list of favorite restaurants when friends and family visit. Happily, we were able to book a table for five, and we had a perfectly wonderful meal there the night before the concert. We started with a dozen fresh oysters for the table - 1/2 dozen Salty Wolfe Oysters ($23), shown as Hank's own proprietary oyster from the Lower Chesapeake, Virginia, along with 1/2 dozen Chef's Selection of the freshest East Coast oysters on the half shell ($22). The five of us around the table all tucked into some of the best oysters ever. The table ordered fish and chips (Old Bay seasoned fries, Cole slaw, $24), two of us ordered oyster po'boys ($21), one had the Ceasar salad ($14; add: (3) shrimp $8, oysters $8, salmon $16, or crab cake $18), and I had the New England clam chowder with bacon ($12) and a small plate of steamed PEI mussels with grilled crostini ($21). Don't let the description mislead you - this small plate of nicely seasoned mussels was large and when coupled with the soup made a perfect meal. Service was friendly, well-informed about the menu items, and prompt without ever feeling rushed. As always, breaking bread at Hank's is a treat.

Our waiter was super attentive, always in good spirits, and checked on us frequently throughout the meal. We started with a half dozen oysters on the half shell. They missed a few items from our appetizer order at first, but everything was sorted out pretty quickly. The oysters were solid but still fresh and enjoyable. We both ordered the fish and chips, and honestly not bad. The fish was seasoned really well without being overly salty, the fries were solid too, and overall it made for a satisfying lunch. I also tried the mango ginger sparkler, which was refreshing too. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a solid lunch option. Parking can be a little tricky with the construction nearby, but there's underground parking at the Sheraton across the street if needed.
