It ended up taking a little longer so we had to get out food to go. 2 our of the 3 orders were completely wrong and we weren't asked if they were okay and didn't get a chance to correct them. My girlfriend and I stopped here on business and were really impressed. We both got Philly cheesesteaks wit Wiz. Not quite Pats or Genos from Philly but Id say about as close as you can get in the area. Also, I got the seasoned chips and my girlfriend got the boardwalk fries, and they were equally good. This is my second experience with Sharky's and neither one of them have been pleasant. Tonight I decided to try their delivery service, and I can say after this I won't be order or dining there anytime soon. To start I ordered the appetizers cheese quesadilla w/ salsa and sour cream on the side, the chili nachos sou cream and salsa as well and one chicken strip kids meal with seasoned chippers. The order plus delivery fee was $34 and some change, yes folks you read that right $34+ dollars for those three items, no drink. But ok I know bar food usually costs more and it was coming from a restaurant so I figured they probably gave you a good sized portion and everything would be fresh made all that so i went ahead with the order. It took roughly 45 minutes to arrive which is what my estimated delivery time was so that was good. I finally start eating my food and to my complete and total disappointment the chips in my chili nachos are stale! all of them tasted old! The chili and cheese were both served on the side so I decided to try them the way they arrived to me since I already knew the chips were no good. Now to me there is a difference between Mexican style chili for nachos or any other Hispanic dish that has chili in it and the chili you'd make at home on a chilly evening with corn bread or rice however you like it. Unfortunately the chili I received was exactly like the second one and not even seasoned. That's two strikes for my meal right out the door. I don't think anyone can mess up cheese in a tortilla thrown on a grill and that's exactly what I got with the quesadilla, no seasoning and flavorless. The kids meal, my daughter ate the chippers but said the chicken strips were "gross" I tried one and had to agree with her they tasted like rubber. So my overall experience with this is that its utterly terrible. Don't offer the service if you can't deliver it. Don't charge the price if you can't make it worth it. On my closing note the laughably high pre-set tip amounts, my full tip I hope is given to the girl who had to deliver this poor meal and isn't split up with the staff because the "chef" doesn't deserve it. read more

Love the new Berry Apple Chicken Salad! We are fans of the pizza, breadsticks, ribs, and ravioli, also. We are regulars and have come to know several of the servers, cooks, and managers well. It is a great place to hang out with friends after work or to take the family out for a great dinner. Tonight we had a new server, Kelly, who did a fine job. My second (and very last) experience at Sharky's must go on record because of the many issues that make this a restaurant that needs a lot of help on so many levels. I ordered the "Cajun baked (grouper) fish" with Cajun seasoning and "special sauce". As my five friends' dinners were all being served, a manager came to our table to announce that the grouper would take an additional 10 minutes to be prepared. I agreed that was okay and ate my salad while others ate their dinners. When the long-awaited, highly-anticipated (I love Cajun fish) dinner finally did arrive, I could not believe what they had the audacity to put in front of me. (My regret is that I did not take a photo to share the poor, bland presentation.) The white, boiled, plain fish was accompanied by a small container of Cajun seasoning that I was supposed to shake on the fish myself. It also had a separate "special sauce" that was only mayonnaise-like tasting. I have NEVER had Cajun fish presented in this way. It felt like it was something that would be served in a hospital or prison. Because I was with five friends who were already way into their meals, I agreed to take it and try it because I did not want to delay everyone else, nor did I want to make a scene as we were also there to celebrate a birthday. I simply expressed my disbelief at the $15.99 meal that was put in front of me and the manager's response was "Well, we have an Executive Chef here." What is that really supposed to mean, other than you need to find another chef? Then he said he would take 20% off the bill, which he did not do either. I ate my salad, tried a few bites of the fish which were totally bland, tasteless and dry. I absolutely should have sent it back or had it completely removed from the bill, which I failed to do. They did not take anything off the bill at all, which they should have done without my asking for it. And, then they had the audacity to charge an extra $1 for the fresh broccoli (which was the only thing that was actually prepared properly so that I could eat it) that I ordered as a side, which was also supposed to be part of the meal. I was just going to leave the fish, but a friend suggested that I could take it home for our two cats. Since last evening, I have tried two times now to present the fish to our cats and have watched them both put their noses up in the air and walk away from it. (And they eat everything, but not this fish!) What does that say???? The silverware is also less than clean; another friend ordered the wings and they charged $0.25 for each wing that you brought home from your meal; another friend ordered coffee and was told in an exasperated way, "ok, I will have to brew some first" and then was never served the coffee. I have no idea how this restaurant can have so many people who go there. The Latrobe/Ligonier/Greensburg area has so many other better options for food quality and presentation, customer service, cleanliness and atmosphere. It must be the beer?? read more

I've been a frequent customer here. I generally don't have any issues with the food or service, but on my last few visits here, I noticed a few things that just don't sit well with me. The ladies room is horrible. It never looks clean, the doors are literally falling off the hinges and it's just overall uncomfortable to go in there. The second problem I had was with my food, which as I mentioned above, I generally don't have issues with. I ordered the buffingwich, grilled chicken in a wheat wrap with just cheese and some wing sauce. The cheese was barely melted and the chicken was warm at best. I had this happen one time before and the staff were happy to take it back and bring a new one out that was hot, but this being the second time it happened, I let it go. I'm only bringing these things up because I really enjoy coming here and things used to be so much better. I hope they can get back to that level of customer satisfaction. read more

Sharky's is either a hit or a miss. The food is either amazing or not so good. There's really no in between. The staff is rude and unfriendly which makes us not want to visit. My fiancé and I went to Sharky's for my birthday and I was very rudely told that I couldn't order their drink special because I was sitting in the dining room and not the bar. They have some of the worst staff that I've experienced in Pittsburgh. Their drink menu is wonderful though, so that's my reasoning for three stars. read more
