I personally want to thank two unknown nurses, my sweet great-niece, Bella and Sharkey's Restaurant managers for coming to my aide last night. I took my great-niece to the restroom and without any warning, passed out on the way back to our table. I woke up on the floor with my feet up in the air and two nurses on their knees at my head explaining to me what they witnessed. I cannot credit Bella, the nurses and staff at Sharkey's enough. The staff was attentive and did everything they could have possibly done for me. My great niece [only 6 years old] knew to run to our table to inform my family that something was wrong. The nurses instantly knew something was wrong and immediately took action. I want to express none of these people [minus my niece] knew me and could have easily walked away. This morning, State Senator Maureen Walsh comes to mind and I have a few not so nice words for her! Kiss my a$$! You see, those nurses were at Sharkey's enjoying a well earned, underpaid work related celebration. They dropped everything they were doing to ensure that I was okay. I wish I would have thought to get their names and place of employment because I would be singing their praises to everyone. These nurses are unspoken heroes and deserve to be acknowledged, on and off the clock! read more

My server Tyler was the best server ever, he was super sweet and cute. This night made me feel young again. To make night at Sharky's even better Brenden the dishwasher stopped by our table to crack a few jokes. Overall experience was magical, take your kids here instead of Disney. read more

Sharky's Cafe is legendary in my mind. I grew up in Westmoreland County, and discovered this place back in 2000. It was my first taste of buffalo wings, and I was quickly hooked. From my early high school days where I would tag along with my older brother, to my late high school/early college days, where I would make multiple appearances over the two weekly wing nights, and now to my yearly visit back home to PA, where Sharky's is the only MUST DO in my itinerary, the wings have never failed. The service is a bit varied here. You may get an excellent waitress, you may have to flag yours down for any help at all, but the service is not what I go here for. Plain and simple, it is all about the FOOD. Spectacular flavor. Nothing I've ever ordered here has disappointed (nor has the company I've been with disagreed). Good selection of sauces and spiciness levels for the wings...the Sweet n' Hot is a great lower-spice flavor, the Buffalo and Buffalo Extreme are both tangy and flavorful, the Golden Hot has a great mustard taste, the Ballistic is oozing with the signature Habenero flavor and spice, and the crown jewel of it all...the KOREAN sauce. A perfect blend of sweet & sour, savory, and spice...there is no match for it. I've lived in two of the top three metropolitan areas in our country, and I've never found any match for these sauces (and oddly enough, one of the better competitors (though still no comparison) is Dino's, a mile down the road). If you like the wings, try your favorite sauce in a Spicy Chicken pizza as a replacement for the traditional Italian sauce...I dare you to eat an entire Ballistic pizza! Atmosphere here is pretty good, lots of TVs and nightly specials depending on what games are on, lots of Pittsburgh sports fans, and sometimes during Steelers training camp you can catch the players here as well! Average tap beer selection, has all the standard favorites but not much in the way of micro-brews. There are some pool tables as well, an arcade/air hockey room, the bar area, the standard restaurant area, and a small room for private parties as well. All in all, don't miss this spot if you are in Southwestern PA...even on non-wing night, it is worth the extra cash to try the Korean wing sauce! We arrived at the restaurant around 5pm on a Sunday. All the lights were off inside. There were dinner specials written on the board at the front of the restaurant, however, those special were over on Saturday. My burger had no flavor, and so I was going to ask for ketchup. The waitress never came back. My husband asked for buffalo fries in place is his normal fries, willing to pay the upcharge. They brought a whole appetizer of buffalo fries and charged us for them. Always great food and service. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I really like the pizza, wings and all the salads! I recommend the dragon style wings! It's a nice place to go shoot some pool, drink some cold beer, eat great food and visit with friends! Sharky's is very clean and that is very important to me when choosing a place to eat. I've been eating at Sharky's for years and it's always been the same way, fantastic food at very affordable prices; a great place to take the family for dinner but also one of the best places to go for night life. Not even worth the one star because they denied us drinks the second we gave IDs because they "looked different" than PA. We are all in our mid to late twenties and from out of town and they wouldn't even scan them and we offered second for of ID and they wouldn't take it. Couldn't tell you what the rest of the experience was like cause we didn't even get a chance. --and to edit on the comment left: Cautious and denying are two different things. We are not missing the point we offered two forms of identification and scanning of all of our IDs. If you are the owner I do believe you should have come over and explained that to us as your two waitress failed to do so. Not to mention that we were there the night before with the same ID's with a wedding party....Just note of advice maybe get a scanner or an updated book of ID's that match actual state ID's especially if you want out of state costumers but I don't think you do. Rest assured everyone in our wedding party will not be returning to your establishment. read more

I have eaten many places in the United States. Sharky's is one of my favs. Great atmosphere and great all American food. I feel like I know the owners for years and I just feel at home whenever I stop in for a bite. Great old school sports bar and grilled with great quality food. Always a good time. Bartenders are awesome, wait staff is awesome. Food is surprisingly good, especially the crab legs.

Our absolute favorite hangout in the area. We spend the entire football and hockey season here. The Steelers Buffet is a must! Great food, great times, great staff. Went here for lunch with my 6 yr old and to watch March Madness while we waited for a delayed flight. The food tasted great - wings, pizza, and poutine. Prices were high in my opinion though. My son loved the air hockey games and running around exploring. I loved all the TV's. My only legit complaint aside from the high food prices was the smell. Typical bar food but definitely better than Dino's that's for sure...but again that's not saying much same deal here fresh cut fries and sandwiches start the menu off...the buns here don't look frozen and actually taste a lot better than other restaurants in the area...their flagship burger is a burger between to grilled cheeses and it gets messy...when you order a burger well done of course you do get the charred over cooked burger you would get at any places of this type...apparently cooking a burger medium well with out charred chunks is an art not mastered in this town...anyway they do offer more meals and different options than the competitors in the area but I have to say it's overpriced for what you get and you kinda leave the place feeling disgusting...three stars is what I'm giving this place only because the other location is a little worse...anyway if you want good food take 30 up the street and you will have much better options. read more

this place has fine bar food, at a price a tad expensive for a modest man such as myself. sometimes i get the check back and a sad tear can be traced from my eye to my belt loops. also the chairs have this odd bump in the center that fits its self perfectly betwixt my bum that allows me to experience the other side of the sexual spectrum. not what i had initially signed up for. a surprise, but a welcomed one none the less. the food over all is good, i would recommend to any visitors in the area looking to try a staple of the town. read more
