Eh. This place was just OK. We went right when they started opening up the restaurants after Covid so the outdoor seating was helpful and eased our concerns. We were told up front that the wait staff wasn't really wait staff they were kitchen people who were helping out for the day. The service was just fine. The food well, I'm not sure if it was a limited menu because it was during Covid or what but it was a very very limited menu. I think we got a pizza I can't even remember it was that forgettable. The wine wasn't that great either but the ambience was excellent. This review is coming off somewhat negative and I don't mean for it to come across that way. I Definitely would give this place another try but I would go into it with lower expectations. I am grateful, very grateful that they opened up as early as they did and gave us a place to go.

I went here this past weekend with my parents. We were looking for something to do that would be relaxing, and being new to the area from California it seemed like a good choice. The drive from reminderville was really nice too! While I'm not a big wine lover, my parents are. I don't like reds or anything really dry so I tried the few sweet ones that were available. They were eloquence, discretion and defiance (did I mention they are all named after virtues?? Cool!). The defiance was my favorite (my mother said that was fitting lol), it was a rosė blush and soooo good! My parents said the ones they tried were all good with one exception but I don't recall which that was unfortunately. Tastings were .50 each and glasses were $5 I believe. We also got a cheese plate, and I ordered the meatball soup, can't remember the exact name. The cheese plate was pretty basic, the soup was actually really good but just a little bit salty. But not too much that I didn't enjoy it! The girls working were nice and helpful, service was good. It was pretty empty when we arrived but got busier by the time we left. The set-up was fine, tastings and food orders placed at the bar and they bring your food to your table. There's also a back room, like an enclosed patio and an outside patio as well. We would definitely go back!

The food and wine was really good. I was surprised by the nice selection of both wine & food!

I went to Sharon James Cellars for a reunion & I was pleasantly surprised. As you drive up to the parking lot, the restaurant is deceiving because it's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. As you walk in they have a long bar to your left & indoor restaurant seating to your right & left. As you walk through the double doors ahead, you walk into their enclosed patio, & then further on they have an outside patio w/a wood burning fireplace. But there's more, if you go further back they have a another outside covered patio surrounded by a beautiful pond & a beautiful small vineyard. If you are seated outside of the restaurant then you have to go into the restaurant to place your order & pay for your drinks & meals. They have a full bar & a beautiful selection of wine. I've always been a little hesitant when it comes to Ohio wines, but this place has a large selection of dry/sweet of white & red wine. They give you a number to place on your table so they know what food belongs to your table. We first ordered appetizers such as veggies & hummus, cheese & crackers to go w/our wine. Then we ordered a pizza. The pizza was quite large that a few of us ordered one pizza. What was really nice is that none of us wanted the same thing on the pizza, so they made half of the pizza one way & put other toppings on the other side. The pizza took a long time for them to make, but I think it was probably because they were really busy. For some strange reason I didn't think it would be good, but I was so wrong. The pizza was amazing. It was tasty and the crust was nice and crispy. All the other food we ordered was really good. The staff was friendly & was on top of everything. They cleared our plates as soon as we were done eating. Also everything was reasonably priced. This is a wonderful place to have a relaxing dinner, or even plan a party or an event. The scenery alone puts you in a relaxed & serene mood. On the weekends they have live music from local musicians. If you are ever in the area you should definitely stop in...have a glass of wine, listen to music, walk to the pond and have some of their delicious food.

So she chose the Christmas lights of Chagrin Falls and "Odd Fellows Restaurant" which looks out on the Gazebo and all the lights of the square. We arrived at the restaurant and immediately were seated at a comfortable table in the center of the room by a very professional young woman. Very shortly after, the sweetest, most bubbly young lady greeted us and introduced herself as Bianca, our server for the evening. I can't say enough about Bianca. She was absolutely extraordinary. Friendly is an understatement. She had a beautiful smile that never left her face. She was so personable you could not help but feel comfortable in her care for the evening. Throughout the 2+ hours we were in her hands she just kept getting more impressive. If you decide to give "Odd Fellows" a try you would be doing yourself a great service by requesting her as your server for the evening when you make your reservation. Our initial order included refreshing drinks from the bar along with great crusty bread and excellent "Roasted red pepper soup". Very nicely done. We followed that with our entrees. I ordered the "Sesame Tuna" which was very nicely prepared. My wife and sister-in-law had the "Walleye" and they loved it. My brother enjoyed the "Shrimp Bucatini". I must say the kitchen did an exemplary job all evening... Kudos to the entire kitchen staff. We followed dinner with excellent coffee and very nicely presented desserts. A marvelous finish to a marvelous evening at "Odd Fellows". I give them my highest recommendation and encourage you to give them a try. Don't forget to request Bianca -- she is the cherry on top.

Started off with bread that came with a great garlic butter. Wish the bread had come out warm but it was good. I had a Caesar salad with shrimp for dinner which was great, filling but still light and the shrimp were fantastic, nice and big and very flavorful. We also ordered Brussels sprouts, fries and "onion rings" for the table. The Brussels were fantastic, probably my best bite of the night. I also really loved the fries, they had the perfect amount of salt which I always appreciate. The onions rings were very good, but I would call them more of onion straws so just be sure you know what you're getting if you grab those. Others at my table enjoyed the burger a lot, as well as the shrimp pasta. A lovely holiday experience overall!

The staff works really well together to deliver timely service from the moment you sit down. The servers are well-versed in knowledge of the menu and making suggestions to accommodate requests! For the food- for starters, the bread and compound butter are absolutely incredible and fresh. The duck flatbread is full of unique and cohesive flavors! I ordered the Korean bbq steak and my goodness, that did not disappoint. I will say as a suggestion, the Brussels sprouts would be better on the side and crisped up a little bit versus mixed in with the potatoes. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the flavor of the entire dish was wonderful. Also ordered at my table were various sushi rolls which were all presented beautifully and had flavor to match. The ramen bowl boasted a bold broth with perfectly cooked noodles. The dessert was not quite what I pictured in my mind, I ordered the chocolate raspberry cheesecake and I was thinking it was going to be a vanilla cheesecake with chocolate and raspberry swirls but it is actually a chocolate cheesecake. Personally it was a little dense for me but still very tasty! The drinks were tasty and well thought-out and the bartenders are very good at their job! Overall was a wonderful dining experience. Would definitely recommend!

Wednesday they offer date night prefix three-course meal for $35 with five options per category.... Went back to try it again. See photos of the steak Diane (huge portion, the only complaint was that there was some fat on the tenderloin, but the sauce and the potatoes and veggies and portion was impressive). I had the salmon that came with the prefix, along with a sushi roll and dessert. Satisfied with the food, plentiful and filling and well made. The sushi was tasty and fresh, and the raspberry creme brulee for dessert was excellent. Very much enjoy the bartenders wine and menu knowledge, and her homemade limoncello. Also enjoy her friendly and attentive service sitting at the bar. A little pricey at $150 for two people on a Wednesday night, but the meal portions are generous. Had four drinks between two of us, two full meals and dessert. As a little spot in chardon they are trying and doing a great job is classy as the big players. Definitely a spot we're checking out

An absolutely fantastic visit today…read more Our daughter is moving out of town, and for her "going-away" dinner she wanted one more visit to Cru. What a wonderful choice it turned out to be. From beginning to end, this was truly a remarkable dining experience. Every time we visit, it seems like both the food and the service continue to get even better. We had reserved a table on the outdoor patio and were seated promptly. We absolutely love the patio--its ambiance is second to none and, in our opinion, it's one of the best outdoor dining spaces in the city. This time, we decided to keep things light and ordered a selection of appetizers, a cheese board, and desserts. Since the menu changes four times a year, there's little point in listing every dish, as they'll likely be different by the time someone reads this review. A huge compliment goes to the entire kitchen staff. Every appetizer was beautifully prepared, and they even made a special zucchini blossom for our daughter, which was a wonderful surprise. A special thank you also goes to the pastry chef. The three desserts were outstanding, and the personal touch of writing "Good Luck in Chicago" in chocolate on one of the dessert plates made the evening even more memorable. We also want to recognize both sommeliers. During a previous visit, one of them had prepared an incredible house-made bar nut mix that we still talk about. We asked whether it was still available, and although he explained it was no longer on the menu, he went out of his way to prepare it for us on the spot. Our daughter absolutely loved it. Our second sommelier (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was equally wonderful. She took the time to recommend several excellent Pinot Grigios after my daughter asked for suggestions, and her knowledge and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our server, Julie, who provided warm, attentive, and professional service throughout the evening. She helped make an already special occasion even more enjoyable. As we were leaving, my daughter summed it up perfectly: "This was probably my favorite visit out of all the times we've been here." For a restaurant we've enjoyed many times over the years, that's about the highest compliment we could give. Thank you to everyone at Cru for making our daughter's farewell dinner so memorable. We wish you continued success and can't wait for our next visit.

(probably after a nice long day of golf) If you use the restroom, he's usually sitting at the end of the bar and will harass you when you leave the restroom. I've been in this establishment two times. The last time was June 18. I went to the restroom at 9:55 PM. This would be a good time to check your security cameras. Before even walked into the restroom, there were comments made to me by him that were inappropriate. Left the restroom where he proceeded to sit in his chair. Ask me if I went number one or number two. Then he proceeded to blow in my hair and tell me that I should be doing sexual favors for him on my knees as all of the men around him laughed. He proceeded to make fun of my hair, etc... Sam is supposedly a family man. This is supposed to be a family owned establishment which is posted online. It is not. It is trash. The owner is trash. How embarrassing for his entire family. All of the bartenders, of course, defended him as he was sitting there harassing me. Of course, at the time I didn't realize that it was Sam the actual owner. But of course, while I was taking up for myself, I was told by one of the female bartenders that "this isn't gonna fly here" when I was standing up for myself. I truly hope that maybe Sam can get his life together and stop harassing customers especially new customers. This is not a family, friendly establishment when the owner is completely drunk, falling off his barstool and using complete disgusting language to females that walk by him. I honestly have never had an experience like this before, but after it happened and speaking to other females that frequent that wonderful classy establishment, Sam is known for this. Save your money, time, and class...go somewhere else where you're not sexually harassed.
