It's pretty simple to do it online or if you're not able you can call and schedule. Honestly this place feels like the DMV. People will just glare at you when you get called to the back immediately after entering. It's not magic, I don't know anyone here, I just schedule my appointment and check in online, I promise.. I've been here a few times and they are always nice and professional. There's plenty of parking, but not usually any free seating as people without appointments seem to prefer traveling in packs and claiming all the seats with their bags, strollers etc.

I have been going to Quest Diagnostics for the last 22 years(every six months) for my blood tests…read moreafter suffering a heart attack in 2002! I am covered through two PPO medical insurances (Aetna and Cigna), which cover all my blood tests with zero out-of-pocket expenses! I don't have to pay a single dollar because Aetna and Cigna cover my blood test 100% every time! But when I went to get my last blood test(07/14/26) at the Santee, CA 92071 location, I was told that I had to pay $98.00 to get my test done! The employee (Jessica?) insisted that I owe $98 to complete my blood test! I was beyond shocked, to say the least! She was downright rude and kept saying I owed that much! The two excellent PPO plans I have include discounted contracts with Quest Diagnostics, so there are zero out-of-pocket expenses on my part! The Quest Diagnostics employee(Jessica) was adamant in insisting that I owe! I almost had a nervous breakdown, and this kind of behavior from any of your employees can put undue stress and fear on a patient when getting a test done at this facility. Especially the elderly who live with very limited incomes! I am not pleased with this rude behavior by this particular employee(Jessica?) at the Santee, CA 92071 location! These employees need to be retrained so people can feel welcome and not have to be stressed out when dealing with insurance claims! I have been a very faithful patient with Quest Diagnostics facilities, and I must say this is the most stressful experience I have had because she was not well informed or not well trained on how to deal with patients who come there to get their tests done! I wouldn't be surprised if one day an elderly patient has a heart attack when they hear that their test cannot be performed until they pay up front(when they actually have great insurance coverage)!! Somebody from the Quest Diagnostics company needs to address these issues with all employees on how to treat patients with compassion and understanding, so there is no undue stress! Thank you for understanding! P.S. The employee, Jessica, kept saying that my doctor had not put a diagnosis code on the paper, and that is why she had to charge me! What she forgot to understand was that the blood tests are done so the doctors can make a proper diagnosis on any patient when the results are viewed! Her reason was laughable, to say the least! They set the tone for the entire visit (if I had employees like these, I would definitely give them at least 6 week fully prepaid and all inclusive vacation to Bora Bora on the company at least three times per year!) The doctor took real interest in my injury -- not just a quick in-and-out diagnosis, but thoughtful, attentive care. You could tell he was engaged and wanted to help, which is rare these days. The whole place ran like a well-oiled machine: fast, efficient, and impressively clean. I barely had time to finish filling out my form before I was already being seen. However I…read morecan't help but be frustrated that there's a lack of follow up when we aren't at the clinic My baby needed 2 ultrasound done and when we called to schedule with Radys they only allowed us to have 1 ultrasound done because the second could not be done due to the diagnosis. Apparently the diagnosis wasn't sufficient enough so the Santee clinic had to clarify. Despite our constant follow up nothing was sent from the clinic to radys. We went in and got 1 ultrasound done. Only a day or two after we were approved for the second. We received our bill and we have to pay $750 for the ultrasound and now we have to go back for the 2nd and pay another $750 bill. If we just had gone there and done both scans in 1 visit we could have avoided this. Because of the Lack of follow up from the clinic we have to pay even more out of pocket and more time spent when it should have not happened. I hope scripps understands there are families that don't have the luxury to waste money

Signing in and Care is top notch. Because everyone knows I won't go to anyone else there, they ask to watch, ask questions, and Wendy's happy to let them know how she finds the vein. This is true teamwork.
