Make an appointment! I think it's wild as fuck that every time I go to a Quest Diagnostics there's so many people sitting in the waiting room forever because they don't make appointments. It's pretty simple to do it online or if you're not able you can call and schedule. Honestly this place feels like the DMV. People will just glare at you when you get called to the back immediately after entering. It's not magic, I don't know anyone here, I just schedule my appointment and check in online, I promise.. I've been here a few times and they are always nice and professional. There's plenty of parking, but not usually any free seating as people without appointments seem to prefer traveling in packs and claiming all the seats with their bags, strollers etc. read more

Also apparently they let walk ins so habibis only and if your an time for your appt they make you wait to take this walk ins but only if your habibi... Mexican mom waits 30 min to be seen yet her name was next on the board but they let a hibibi mom with her 30 year old daughter whos capable of talking for herself in to the back because they didn't sign in or have an appt and walked in right before the Hispanic women's appt. Like seriously?? So she had to wait another 10 min and they almost forgot her because they took her appt spot for the mom and daughter, just for them to be asked to leave because they take appts only and no walk ins. lol. Made an appointment about a week and a half ago for my Son through their app. We get here today and they had a sign on their door that they had an emergency closer from 7/15-7/21. The problem is not that they had an emergency closer. It's the lack of communication and compassion to not cancel your appointment or let you know via their own APP!!! Is it that hard for you to communicate so that we don't drive all the way there for no reason? I had to take time off work!! Completely unacceptable. I checked last night and they had indicated that they were closed for June 18,19 Today is June 20th and we were there by 7am and many other people, some had appointments and some were walk-ins but no one opened the door. Absolute trash customer service, I tried to walk in 30 minutes before closing and a a Hispanic girl with an accent and highlights in her hair, told me we're not taking any more clients you have come back tomorrow. I told her there's 30 more minutes before you close. She said we already have enough clients in the back. There was nobody sitting but a little child in the front. I tried to reason with her she was being passive aggressive as she was like using her position for power, I told her I'm not in good shape. I can't walk. She said everybody has a problem. Had a really great experience with Faye recently. It was a BUSY Monday morning, with lots of appointments and an overwhelming number of walk ins, like myself. Several of the walk ins were being incredibly rude and demanding to be seen immediately even though they didn't have appointments. Faye was firm, but professional, and handled things like an absolute pro. She got us in after about 45 minutes of waiting and apologized for the behavior of the others in the lobby. 10/10 recommend Faye at Quest! read more

This review is specific to Basma. She took great care in taking my blood this morning. I always have a difficult time when I have blood work done because the phlebotomist have a hard time finding my vein. Basma took care and was very efficient in getting me in w one stab and in the right place. I always dread having to get blood work but Basma made it quick and painless. I had made an appointment online about a week out. I got there a few minutes before my appointment time and checked in via the text message I received. The only people who care are the employees, who are caught between their patients and incompetent management, by design of said management. I liked Quest, or at least didn't mind it. Fast appointments, on schedule, with friendly customer-focused staff & trustworthy assistance w/my docs and insurance. I really didn't expect Quest Lab's new "remodel" to morph them into a corporate dystopia B Movie villain? This location's now creepy, unsupervised, mostly automated & definitely overbooked. Its now so uncomfortable how clearly little to matter to the business. Waiting room: Worse than a TSA holding room and smaller than TGIF's ladies bathroom. No airflow, people crammed in like sardines, a walkway that I'd be suspicious meets ADA compliance, a locked door and... no staff. Zero. Just walls, chairs, shoulder-to-shoulder people and two digital Quest Automated Kiosks. You will be underfoot of the delivery guy. Your knee will be in the way of the entrance door. You will be pressed shoulder-to-shoulder with the sick person next to you, exchanging glances with the girl across from you who's pressed against the twitchy guy clearly making her uncomfortable. Everyone else will be upset, stressed, and angry at Quest... which will be your only clue as to how badly the business is overbooking appointments. So you check-in at the kiosk and self-scan your ID & insurance card... unless you checked-in by phone, and a text tells you to not check in again inside, so you aren't sure how they're going to get your insurance or ID. And no way of knowing if you did any of it right. The door will briefly open as a human voice calls the next patient- but maybe you can see a face by joining other patients who had to resort to swarming the door or hollering across the room. The poor staff (there's only 2-3 techs at the entire location) are overworked, understaffed, surrounded by angry patients who are blaming Quest corporations crummy treatment on the poor technicians... techs I've gotten to appreciate and know. I really hope they can find better work- they don't deserve what Quest is doing. So 40min after my scheduled time I'm finally called out of the sardine tin- anxious I'd messed up check-in and possibly wasn't even in the queue- while my polite but harried and harassed tech tries to usher me in and quickly field the flood of questions from the angry waiting room. Thats when I finally get to talk for the first time to Quest staff, and I discover my lab work isn't in the system but I can't be allotted any time to call my doc and have it refaxed. So I was pushed back 40 mins just to be able to: have my appointment cancelled, need to reschedule myself, spend 3 minutes calling my doc & have it faxed and hope it worked this time. And now, I'm late to work with nothing to show for it. I'm dreading having to go back and queue up again as a faceless dollar sign for a company that doesn't care how insulting, demoralizing or dreadful the process is because they're clearly banking on you being forced to use them anyway. But at least I get to play the worst game of "undetermined appointment wait to find out if a fax went through" game again in two days (they're booked solid until then). read more

Low quality of service. No one to speak to at desk. Just a kiosk. This maybe just Quest as a company . Detached from its clientele. The facility is ran poorly and is not kept up with cleanliness. By the time you finally get to speak to a person, it has been over an hour. They may not even help with your needs depending on what their paper says regardless of your appointment. This facility got a major upgrade/renovation recently. It's kind of futuristic/robotic feeling in there now but it's very clean. I come here a few times a year and always see Fay. She is the best. I have difficult veins to find and would always be afraid to get blood drawn because it took so many tries by different techs in the past. But Fay is funny and nice and efficient. These people are under a lot of stress so please remember to also be kind to them! read more

Had a great experience here at Quest! I was skeptical at first due to the low reviews but honestly this was beyond the easiest process - from booking an appointment to getting my blood taken. Literally booked it online yesterday for 10:30am this morning. Below you'll find exactly what I did to make the process smooth. I was instantly greeted by Faye who was amazing!! I loved her energy and her friendliness. We had really nice small talk that I enjoyed and I made sure to let her know she was amazing! Here is my advice for anyone who plans to come: 1. Book online 2. Follow prompts from text message confirming you don't have covid symptoms 3. Minutes before your appointment you get another text to CHECK IN 4. Suggest you choose another lab. Jamacha Road location looks like someone threw a bunch of folding chairs in an empty room. Not an inspiring place to be. 3 weeks after I left a sample for analysis my Dr had to call them for results (which should have been sent) and was told I never was there. I personally had to go through two episodes of voice prompt hell before I insisted on a supervisor who finally found my file and sent me the results. This after I signed a form agreeing to pay the fee. I bumped it up to 2 stars because I did finally get the results. read more

The outgoing message doesn't let you talk to a person. Just puts you in an endless loop of "press zero". And it says "there's no need to call and check if we have your order, because we will call your doctor". They have never called my doctors, and they have never had the fax on the first try. Today I was informed after I got there that the fax machine was broken. So I asked if they could call my doctor,and how the doctor could enter the order electronically and they said that I had to call, that the doctor "would know" and walked away. The conversation was definitely over. So they either need to train the staff to match the outgoing message, let customers speak to a human being, or change the outgoing message. Meanwhile I wasted time and probably a specimen because I had to take my antibiotics and any specimen now won't be any good. Added January 10: I had my appointment on January 6th. I received a confirmation text and email today, confirming my appointment 4 DAYS AGO. read more

Horrible experience! I thought that people were just particular on their reviews, boy was I wrong. I have been going to the doctor and hematologist since I was a little girl. I have never had such a horrific experience. First, the phlebotomist was unable to find my vein. Instead of waiting, she inserted the needle and decided to find it by moving it around for 30 seconds inside my arm. If that wasn't bad enough, they called me back six hours later to say the sample was problematic and they needed to redo the draw. I will be having my blood redrawn at my providers office, horrible experience and would not recommend. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. I made my appointment online. A half hour before my appointment I was texted a code to check in. Once you arrive and check-in you can go inside, wait in your car or wait outside. They text you 'we are ready for you' once its your turn. My technician, Fay was waiting for me. She was so pleasant and calming. I get light headed when I have blood work done. She talked to me the whole time and distracted me. The lack of professionalism is astonishing at this location. Never have I experienced such extreme rudeness by the 2 employees at this location. I arrived at 9am for my scheduled appointment. Upon walking in these 2 employees were literally yelling at patients not only to those who were waitingto be called upon, but any walk in that arrived. I myself find it intolerable! And I'm pretty patient when it involves customer service. I left and booked another appointment at the Fletcher location. Was seen upon arrival and the staff were wonderful. I would rate this place a 0 star however doesn't allow me to do so. Management, please please look into your 2 employees that were working at 9am on Monday July 11, 2022 and discuss how wilful rudeness is unnecessary and extremely unprofessional in a work environment. Had to bring my fiancee in to get some bloodwork done. Nancy the first tech wasn't able to get blood, which wasn't her fault my fiancee has horrible veins but she was friendly. On to the 2nd tech, Ermode, she was super friendly and did everything she could to make my fiancee feel comfortable, it worked, with only one chance she was able to get blood. What I didn't like was, no one greeted us when we walked in and the girl that finally came up front about 8 mins later (Amanda) did not have good customer service, but it's okay because Ermode totally made up for the slak. Came here to have my blood drawn, I did the self check in which was very easy. I checked in about 11:40am, i wasn't called backed until about 12:00pm then the woman had me sit. She was working on other things and labeling tubes, and working on the centrifuge machine(I too am a phlebotomist). All as I was sitting there. She then said she was off and someone else would work on me, so I sat there 10-15 minutes more waiting. Then I was taken to the hall and sat to wait another 5 minutes and waited. Then brought to another room and had a very pleasant woman/phlebotomist by the name of Ermode( I believe that's how it's spelled) assist me. She drew my blood, usually I get poked a couple times before they a success getting blood but she got it the first time. Not only that, she had a very soft touch, didn't feel the needle go in, so my overall experience was ok. I gave a 3 star for the wait time and the moving around. But Ermode was very nice and great at her job, which made the experience not to bad. By the time I left it was close to 12:35pm. Overall it was an ok experience. I would suggest a bigger sign for the self check in, I found it easy but an older woman came in walked right passed it, there was no one at the front desk and she just was shouting "HELLOOOOOO!!!!" Over and over. At least have a sign at the desk advising to use the self check in. The shouting in that waiting area was intense! read more

I stupidly arrived at 11:27AM, three minutes before they closed for lunch. I got there just in time before they locked the doors. I know this because the lady working the front desk was very vocal about that fact. Regardless, I was thankful they let me come in. I just needed a somewhat straightforward blood panel that my doctor ordered so I knew it wouldn't take too long. I gave the front desk my paperwork and had a seat. There were a couple other people in the waiting area with me, but I only had to wait a few minutes before Jimmy came out and said he was ready for me. I have tattoos on both arms over where they normally take blood, but Jimmy was able to quickly and painlessly hit my vein by touch. He gathered all the blood that was needed, showed me they were stickered properly, had me sign a form, and I was out the door at 11:40AM. I did feel very badly about showing up right before their lunch, but I still don't understand why doctor's offices and medical facilities do this. I work in a place with only a few employees, but we arrange our lunch breaks so that there is always someone available to help customers. Sure, service might be a bit slower when part of the staff is at lunch, but it wouldn't shut down entirely. It's just so weird! Someone message me and explain why these offices have to be shut down for lunch. Anyway, like I said, I was in and out of there quickly and Jimmy was awesome and friendly. Went today for blood work that is covered under my husbands company (for a health assessment) the man running to front desk was rude and had a condescending laugh for everything, my license (to get copied) was snatched out of my hand and plopped into the copy machine. I'm sorry if he was having a bad day but please be respectful. Your continuous apologies to your patients won't do anything if you don't take action on improving your staff. The front desk lady, who is supposed to be the face and voice of your lab is unbelievably rude. The rest of the staff was nice but if you genuinely care about how your patients feel, the front desk lady is the starting point to show the patients the soul of your clinic. She was not only rude to my mother but incredibly rude to people who have diabetes who should not feel stressed at a clinic but feel welcomed. Very disappointing. Please go somewhere else. read more

This wouldn't be my first choice if I ever have to get a blood test again. The receptionist/tech who checked me in looked like she went to work straight out of bed. And then she proceeded to have an argument with one of the techs, about some samples not being sent in/picked up when they were supposed to have been processed STAT. That's some scary stuff right there. I had warned my phlebotomist that the last time I had my blood drawn at another Quest lab, the tech had a very hard time getting blood and ended up bruising up my veins and using a butterfly on the back of my hand. So, thankfully, she had the sensibility to use a smaller needle but even she could not get anything and had to poke my vein in different directions! Aaaaargh!!! Can you imagine how violated I felt? And then it was time to get a urine sample. Only one out of two restrooms was working. Good thing I didn't have to wait. While I was there, I noticed there were already four samples waiting to be picked up and nobody was doing it. Other than it being a privacy issue (because our names were on the containers), the samples can also be contaminated by anybody with a sick mind. Anyways, this facility is one of the newer ones in the area and is furnished with modern, contemporary furniture and nice, soothing green tones. It's pretty clean and uncluttered, but the staff needs some work. Thank God I didn't end up with bruised veins though. Service is bad. I have been going to this place twice a year for my lab draws. They keep loosing my information and I have to start all over again. The place opens at 0700, I get there as soon as it opens yet I'm there waiting for way over an hour and the place has 1-2 people left. You asked how much longer and they say you are next, and it's now 20 mins. later. I'm a nurse and I can draw blood in 1-2 mins. I will never go back.
