Marissa was hilarious and fun, which I would like to think is also how people describe me from time to time. My chicken Caesar wrap was excellent, with a flavorful tortilla and crisp lettuce inside. I paired it with the tomato soup, and it made for a lovely meal. Decor is very pub-like, but we found the tables to be comfortable and those facing the windows got to scope out all the dogs passing by, a nice bonus. Really the only false note was the root beer. I don't drink soda often, but appreciate a good locally made RB, however this was a swing and a miss, with a way too heavy taste of sarsaparilla.

My friend and I were sharing and they were kind to split it up for us in our own bowls. The noodles were chewy and the ponzu sauce added a lightness to the savory sesame. Veggies were fresh and added the crunch needed to the dish. They had tasty kombuchas in their fridge too - nice to pair with the noodles! Surprisingly they own the seating on the patio as well so you can grab a nice view while you wait for your order. They bring it out to you but you need to buss it back downstairs afterwards. Worth a visit for sure and need to come back to try their smoked fish toast.

World Foods doesn't carry the ginormous container of pitted Kalama olives that the mothership Barbur Whole Foods does. But they do have excellent customer service and and will transfer a jug from Barbur to Whole Foods for me. They also sell Arz labne which I can't find anywhere else convenient in Portland. Certainly not at a conventional grocery store. They also sell all kinds of other international groceries like giant jars if dolmas, lavash, the best chocolate bars. I could go on and on. Walking the aisles makes me feel like I'm in a different country and it's fun. There's not much in the way of parking. Most people in the Pearl probably walk there. I know I do. The kid space was a great size and my two small ones loved being able to play while we ate. I loved that they had some great open ended toys and I didn't need to worry about them disturbing our neighbors. Our server, Emma, was great! She was attentive and quick. She even made our kids chocolate milk even though it's not on the menu. Our food was amazing. We had the kids butter noodles (I'd order that for my adult meal if I could!), kids cheeseburger, deviled eggs, caprese with prosciutto, and fish and chips. The fish was so good and big! Definitely enjoyed our experience here!

The beer is solid you probably already know this. This brewery has been pumping out solid beers for years and really have their styles dialed in. Like many others, I lean towards their IPAs and being an east coast native it's so nice to have their fresh squeeze style IPAs so abundant here. The food has always been good here. I've tried a few of their offerings, burgers, salads and the like. Never had a bad bite to eat. The interior is nice and spacious but this place can get crowded especially during the summer with tourists as it's location is ideal if you're visiting downtown. If I had one wish for this place it would be for some better outdoor seating as most of it is just strung along their storefront out on the sidewalk. That works for me, especially on days I just want to munch, sip and people watch.

We hung onto the aioli so hubby could dip his fries. My meal was so good. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. The batter was just perfect and crisp. Mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Gravy was rich and well-seasoned. Collard greens were so tasty. The balance of textures was just perfection. I ended up having to pack up a piece of chicken because it was so much food, but I enjoyed every bite I was able to take of my meal. I appreciated their welcoming vibe & the beautiful pride balloon arch inside the restaurant. I appreciated the friendly service. I appreciated the thoughtfully and expertly made food.
