I recently returned to this diner. It was 11:10 and there was only one other customer in the place. The three employees were all Hispanic with only one speaking broken English. I ordered two wraps and hummus. I requested that one of the wraps be made super spicy. The employee had no idea what I was saying and had to get the one with broken English to translate. They announced it was ready and when I was leaving, the employee said "Happy Memorial Day." Umm, when someone is going to a funeral, do you tell them to have a good time? What is happy about all of the citizens who died for this country? SMH The wraps, which were $11 each, were so small that I was shocked. What a joke! I will not return.

Local "shawarma" spot and I put the quotations because it doesn't satisfy that craving that think have when you think about a proper spot. Came in to try it out for lunch, it's a sit down or takeout spot. Looked for my go to options but, nothing was really speaking to me other than the tandoori chicken shawarma wrap so I tried it. My biggest pet peeve is when you give me something that I could have made easily and better at home and that's exactly what I got. A very anemic looking, overly spicy was that was severely overpriced. For the same amount I paid for this, I can get a lot more food elsewhere. Service was quick but, I was far from satisfied or excited. Provided all angles of my skinny wrap.

I tried the beef shawarma, fries, and shanina. The beef in the shawarma had good seasoning, but it was dry and had more of a liver-like taste than beef. The fries were okay, though there wasn't much of it in the bag. I didn't enjoy the shanina--it had a strong, pungent flavor that didn't appeal to me. The customer service was decent, and the restaurant was clean, though there was an unpleasant vinegar-like smell in the air.

Where do I start, The customer service or the food. Or the DMV SPEAKER that announces the customer orders. Starting off the female cashier service was horrible, no greetings, very dry, or care for the customers. It was very frustrating and I felt as if maybe I was the problem until the other customers said the same thing. As a middle eastern man myself I felt ashamed to bring my American friends here to represent my culture and food. Once the food arrived I would rate it a 5/10 edible. Chicken shawarma and beef shawarma meat was dry. The garlic sauce was like mayo with garlic powder. The French fries were crispy but hallow and had an old oil taste. Really don't drag bad experiences but I hope the business owner takes the right actions to keep this middle eastern business striving. I know my middle eastern community and how welcoming we are, this place didnt represent anything about the Middle East.

The food is amazing! Packed with flavors and quality. The customer service is excellent very friendly and helpful. Inside is big and spacious and seems to be pretty clean. They are quick with your order so no long waits. I will definitely keep coming here.

I got the tandoori chicken wrap combo and the wrap is really good! My only complaint is they don't have unsweetened tea. I got the lemonade and it is too sweet so I want to mix with unsweetened tea but unfortunately they only have sweet tea. Fries is just okay. Will order the wrap alone next time

If they allowed 1/2 stars I'd give 3.5. Just not quite enough to round up to 4.0. I had the rice bowl special with chicken / beef combo, Mediterranean / tzatziki salad, and tahini sauce. Overall the food was decent. Better than some of the one- and two-star reviews would lead one to believe. But there was an odd (to me) flavor throughout; I'm guessing I should have asked for something other than the tahini sauce. Service was fast and efficient. Ambiance was nice and clean with plenty of seating.

Hi. My review after another visit to Shawarma press after ordering the chicken shawarma and baklava. While they were on time with my order and generally a nice sandwich place, i feel the taste is different from other Mediterranean places. Super clean and colorful restaurant with an inviting ambiance for the whole family. It's a really nice fusion restaurant with great shwarma options. And yet again, I dig in before thinking to take a picture. If you're looking for legit shawarma, look no more, this is your place. Out of all the shawarma places in the states, Shawarma Press is the only one I've tried that has consistently delivered on the same level as overseas Shawarma. They make the thin bread in house, the meats (both chicken and beef) are fresh, the sauce is not overwhelmingly garlic-y, but certainly flavorful, and the overall quality of the sandwich is unparalleled. Seriously good stuff. read more

Great lunch place! Quick, delicious, the meat is cut off of a spit and they are making the bread homemade right in front of you- and only $7 for each of us. We both ordered the shawarma, I got the masala and my husband ordered the Tex-mex both were delicious. Don't be scared off by the spiciness, we didn't find either one spicy. I hit this place up around once every two weeks. The consistancy of the food is on point. The flavour of the chicken and the spices they use to marinate it is just like the shawarma back home in the middle east. A little pricey but its worth it , met with the owners wife like last as well a very sweet lady. I hope they keep up the cleanliness and the tidyness of the place. read more

I love Shawarma Press! After watching the Avengers for the millionth time and seeing the end, where they all go eat shawarma, I finally decided I needed to know what this actually was. I am so pleased that I tried Shawarma! It's delicious and Shawarma Press is the place to go. It's new so I've never had to wait to order. Coming out of town to eat and the yelp stated open but they were just now putting chairs down. I asked the guy if we needed to come back he said no its fine but we were not served or even given a menu. I just stopped in for lunch and was amazed with the food and hospitality. The steak tandoori rice bowl was absolutely delicious, as was the yogurt salad. The staff was very friendly and helpful with menu questions. The baklava and espresso desserts were wonderful and well. I will be looking for more things to do in this area of town so the I can come back frequently. I'll also be bringing my friends and family here when they come to visit. read more

Seriously one of the best places to eat shawarma. Their fries are AMAZING!! Perfectly crispy and soft inside. My favorite is the spicy tandoor shawarma but they have a bunch of choices. All the side dishes are delicious too. So many choices of Mediterranean style food. Tabouli and falafel are my favorites. Hummus is really good too. You seriously won't be disappointed. Tomato cucumber is fresh and crunchy. The white blob is yum, the orange one too. Rice is comparable to chipotle rice.

The area was having a Christmas event so this is why they reduced their menu. We didnt see any meals we liked so we just ordered the rolls with the whipped cinnamon butter and drinks. I ordered the chamoy margarita. It was good and pretty strong. The rolls were soft and with the butter tasted great. We will come back on another night and see if the full menu is available.

I have tried some other salads here as well and the thai and buffalo chicken ones are also a hit. My fav drink from here is the frozen strawberry lemonade, at one point, I was ordering it everyday. The arnold palmer also hits, I like how you can mix and match the lemonade flavors with the tea for the Arnold palmer too. The new seasonal spiced cranberry lemoande was super delicious and refreshing as well. I think I will drink it all season and give the frozen strawberry lemonade a rest. The wraps here are also good and I have tried the chicken soup once and enjoyed it. I have not had a bad experience here ever and I will continue to eat here all the time. Its super affordable and the portion sizes are great too. I usually always split my salad into two meals. The service here is always top notch and everybody is friendly. The place is always clean as well so I appreciate that.

People don't seem to understand that this is a Mediterranean restaurant with the western style dine and go feel. The food is carefully prepared to cater to every taste not just middle eastern which is probably what people are complaining about. The sandwich is a normal size sandwich that will be enough for any normal sized stomach :) I also don't know why people are expecting to get 2 pounds of meat for $4.99. I liked the food and the fries specially the seasoning and you can tell them not to season your fries if you think it might be to salty. Even the ice cream was good and portion wise it was just about the right size. I am glad to see that shawarma press is moving away from the traditional Mediterranean were in some cases you might not feel comfortable eating there. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and we surely we will be back for more. read more

Shawarma Press is hands down the best spot for Mediterranean food in Irving! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh spices and grilled meats fills the air, making your mouth water instantly. I ordered the classic beef shawarma wrap, and it was absolutely delicious--juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in the softest pita bread. The hummus was incredibly creamy, and the garlic sauce added the perfect kick. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, just like homemade. Wow! To start, when I walked into the restaurant the cashier greeted me with a big smile and welcomed me. She answered all my questions and was very kind. The service was very quick and efficient. The food was amazing! Everything I tried was amazing. The Shawarma Meal is a great option because you get 1 wrap, 2 sides, a side sauce, AND a drink!!! I enjoyed the chicken shawarma with tabbouleh and fries with a Texmex side sauce. I definitely recommend this place and will be back! read more

I've been looking for authentic shawarma in the DFW area, and this is the only place I have found that tastes like the shawarma overseas. The staff is friendly and helpful, and all the menu items I have tried have been delicious. I love the chicken and beef shawarma and the pastries are also very good. They also offer Nespresso coffee, which is great for an afternoon pick me up. All in all a fantastic place to visit and eat at. I would highly recommend. read more

I absolutely loved my visit and food. The place was very clean and immediately upon walking in I was met with a friendly smile & "Hello, welcome!" I orders the June special which is the rice bowl with chicken and garlic sauce. It was AMAZING! I also ordered the hummus and pita bread as well. It was so incredibly fresh! Unfortunately people who run this restaurant are very racist, I was totally ignored when I was on the line for my black skin and I thought this is because they are busy, as soon as another customer came the cashier guy didn't even look at me and asked the guy behind me who is in return asked me did they take your order, I replied no I don't know why, the cashier guy didn't even apologize. This is probably one of the most authentic shawarma restaurants in the area. The store is very clean and organized, the staff is friendly, and the menu has a lot of different options for different tastes. Personally, my favorite is the beef shawarma but I enjoy their tandoori chicken as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for well made, filling shawarma!! read more

I am a shawarma lover with very high expectations (grew up on shawarma ) and by far this is the best I had in the DFW area. They also have a full sized nespresso machine. Never seen one in a DFW restaurant. Must try. Will be back. read more
