Best shakes & sodas we tried during our vacation! Staff was friendly & helpful with allergy questions. We came here four times (2 soda runs, 2 shake runs) and everything was delicious and affordable! Shakes were far better than places down the street that always have long lines. But little to no line here, and fast service! Has a kids menu for drinks, might be nice to have a JR size shake too. It's nice to have a soda shop option while at Bear Lake. It's a walk up, no curbside or drive thru. Prices are decent and what you'd expect. I have been here several times now and my drink is always way too sweet. I get flavored sparkling waters but they always come out like a super sweet soda. So if you like a lightly flavored drink like me, make sure to tell them or you will get seriously hooked up with kore syrup than you can ever dream of. read more

Visited Shawka's this week for the first time (but won't be the last!) and got to try the incredible Nutella Shake. I love Nutella and this shake made my taste buds so happy!! My husband had the Chocolate Peanut Butter shake. Absolutely delicious!! What a treat (Literally), for both us with our favorite flavors!! Thanks for having such incredibly yummy desserts! We stopped by Ber's the other day to try their shakes. I like that it's a little bit away from the hustle and bustle so not as crowded. I also like that they have smaller shake options and that their prices are reasonable. My daughter ordered a strawberry cheesecake shake and I ordered a chocolate raspberry one. My daughter loved her shake and inhaled it! I didn't love mine (tasted like just ice, it was weird) but will definitely go again to give them a second chance! read more

I appreciate the bang for your buck here-- $3.50 for a small! (Most places charge upwards of $4.50 and up) And the quality is the same. Thick soft serve, fresh local raspberries, blended thoroughly and still a little over the top. This place is a great stop to get your shake fill. read more

Dirty soda shops are all the rage in Utah right now but most of them seem to have the same flavors, and same spins on those same flavors. Tucked into the Lakeside Plaza just as you enter Garden City is this little new dirty soda oasis called Ber's. Their soda menu is somewhat limited compared to more established chains but all options looked worthy of a try which can't be said for those other chains. I went with the campfire and was not disappointed. The campfire is root beer with toasted marshmallow cream and thankfully they didn't skimp on the marshmallow flavoring which did justice to its name. There is a huge dining area outside with picnic tables and umbrellas but no indoor seating. They have light strings over the tables so this would be a fun outdoor option in the evening also. There is no shortage of shake shacks in Garden City and most of them have long lines owing to their popularity. Ber's is a nice new option for shakes and flavored sodas if that's more your thing. It's right next to Summit Inn Pizza and Waffle Waffle den if you want something other than burgers or fried fare to compliment your drink also. read more

This place is great. Please recognize your employee Taylor. He went above and a beyond for us while we were here. I have anaphylaxis food allergies and he was very knowledgeable about their products and so friendly. I asked and about 3 employees just shut me down because they didn't seem to care to take the time to help me.. Taylor spoke up and came and assisted me regardless of the other 3 workers that told me I couldn't eat a shake there and let me read the ingredients of their shake mix... which I could actually have.. so thanks to Taylor for being so attentive I got to enjoy a shake from here.. and it was top notch ! So, being a new resident to Utah, I'm enjoying learning more about all the favorite places people enjoy visiting. And if it involves food and/or sweet treats, even better! We stopped by Ber's after an afternoon at Bear Lake. I had my lady and three teenaged girls in the car with me, and all of them were "hangry" and in need of some food. We noticed a long line at Ber's when we first drove in to town, so figured this must be the spot to go if we want food. When we arrived later in the afternoon, there was no crowd around, so timing can be everything if you're thinking about coming here to eat. And since I guess the area was known for its raspberries, we figured we couldn't go wrong with a raspberry cheesecake shake. We made a fine decision! The shakes were very thick, so if you're just looking to satisfy a small sweet tooth craving, a small size will do. But if you're on vacation and saying, "F**k it," to your diet, go for the medium. It's only about a dollar more than the small size, but you get probably double the amount of a small. So, it's a pretty good deal. The decor of the place is pretty cool, with a lot of tributes to John Wayne, wood statues, and vintage signs. There is plenty of parking behind the building, so no need to worry about that. I really liked that it was a covered patio-style of setting, so a great place to park and grab some food with plenty of fresh air. read more

The shake is more like an ice cream and thick. The soda menu looks interesting with many options but we didn't try it.

Soda's are great and the staff is friendly. Natalee was so kind and fun and wrote a nice message on my drink.

As a LaBeaus fan for over 40 years, I have to admit this shake is every bit as good. Five stars for Ber.

Very cute little place! I've tried pretty much all the shakes in bear lake and it gets a little boring sometimes so a fun take on a dirty soda is a welcomed change! We tried the campfire, the sucker punch, the fuzzy navel and a root beer float and all were very happy with their choices! Our cashier was super friendly and patient with our indecisive-ness.
