Shawn has been doing my personal (and then business) taxes for me (and my ex-husband) now for almost 20 years! I don't even remember how I found him but I'm so glad I did! Had moved here from out of state, had some complicated (what I thought was) tax related items. He is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and most importantly he gets to know his clients. He's worked with us through divorce process tax filing and still does both mine and my ex's taxes to this day! He always asks about the kids, the sports and school experiences. He doesn't forget a single detail. He's thorough and easy to work with. Always makes himself available. Beyond that he is also a kind, caring human and customer service is too notch. read more

I started using Shawn 4 years ago when my previous accountant retired. After 3 annual tax returns I'm very impressed at how quickly and accurately he completed my returns finding issues with my initial return that it was great he corrected. He's very responsive and also easy to work with / describing issues in ways that are easy to understand. Highly recommended. read more

Working with Shawn McCord was a nightmare. I spent the better part of a year going back and forth with the IRS due to 2 errors that were the result of either his incompetence or sloppiness. First, I asked that he ONLY file our taxes, and that WE would pay them out of our account. I actually paid them early and on Tax Day he, against my instruction, paid the amount we owed AGAIN, creating an overdraft in my bank account. When I stopped payment on one of the 2 outgoing payments, the IRS erroneously counted it as a stop payment on what we owed even though the other payment went through. Yes, they reversed it, but not before I had to go through contesting the penalty and interest. The other issue was he failed to ask for a basic form from my wife so the final amount we paid was insufficient, creating another penalty and interest. After the back and forth with the IRS, they did ultimately waive the penalty but not the interest, which we ended up paying. I took the responsibility of working with the IRS to resolve the issue mainly because I didn't trust Shawn to do it, not that he offered. I did ask him a few questions and it was annoying to receive short answers, giving me the feeling that I was bothering him. I guess I expected better customer service given he screwed up. He never offered to help us through this and certainly never offered to pay any of the interest. When I sent a letter telling him the stress this caused us and the expense, his response was "Sorry this didn't work out as planned". read more

I have now paid over $14,000 in late fees and interest for his negligence and will likely pay more to get things fixed - in addition, he's impossible to get a hold of. I called him daily for ten days, every day, and left messages asking him to do his job. The level of unprofessionalism is just staggering. I also emailed him multiple times before I finally fired him. Buyer beware, this guy cares nothing for you or your finances. Take it from a guy who lost a lot of money for trusting him.

He is very knowledgeable about complex tax issues involving international income and tax credit, as well as US rental properties and investment limited partnership K-1 income. Overall Mr Kwon was able to e-File our returns on time and well within our budget (much lower than our previous CPA we used for four years). On top of everything, Mr Kwon is also very responsive to any questions or appointment to meet him in person. We are fully recommending him and his firm.

In an odd sort of way, it turned out my first choice wasn't my best choice!…read more I came across the listing and thought "OK - it's a little corny name, 'Those Tech Guys'" but honestly, if you hang around tech guys at all, you get it. I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Not only is their work dimensionally accurate, every component is meticulously deburred, clean and packaged. Owner, Glenn Ryan is the "real deal" in technical knowledge and metal-working experience. Somewhat quiet, with a dry humor, he is exceptionally thoughtful in his approach to processing methods and scheduling...he's the kind to ask, "Glenn, how would you make this part". Ltd.Prod. is equally strong in both turning and milling, and just as willing to do a proto-type, as a 1000-pc run. They're equally experienced with stainless, aluminum and plastic and have mfg'd all of the above for me over 5-6 years. They quote their work and honor they're quotes. Delivery times are pretty "on the mark". If Glenn can't meet the requested date, he'll tell you so on the front end, not on due date. Prices are mid-range and fair. But quality exceeds other shops, so I consider the value-proposition to be better at Ltd.Prod. They deserve 5-stars!
