I drove myself over and entered through the back. She was just opening up (it was 10:30), and I was directed to the waxing room. THE HORROR. The room was EXTREMELY unkempt and disheveled. The paper on the bed hadn't been torn off yet, the trash was overflowing, and it was cluttered with so many other things, as if they were using it as a storage room. (Pictures taken after my wax was done). I seriously wanted to turn around and walk away, but I really needed to have it done before going to the beach! I laid down on the bed and off she went. Probably the WORST waxing experience I have ever had. She kept going over the same areas not twice, but up to FOUR times! She then handed me a waxing stick and told me to assist her by maneuvering my lady parts away while she waxed in specific areas. I was floored! Even more so when the first stick broke right on my you know what! As she finished, she literally POURED oil all over my areas, and then topped it off by cleaning the excess off with BABY WIPES. C'mon now. Really? On my freshly opened pores? I stood up to get all changed realized that there were strings of wax ALL over my legs, which ended up getting on my shorts (along with the oil), and also on my car seat! I had to put a towel there to make sure it didn't stain. I have never regretted spending $40 as much as I did then. Believe me or not, the pictures speak for themselves.

It seems like more and more vendors are very unhappy with Groupon Customers and really makes me wonder why do they advertise on Groupon at all if they are so unhappy or unwilling providing the services?!? I made an appointment with her the day before I was going out of town absolutely needed to have my hair styled urgently .I've been doing Brazilian blowout for many years and had a great experience but she convinced me to try keratin, which would be longer lasting and better for hair, I agreed told her ahead of time I have the Groupon made an appointment for 4 PM the next day. I reached five minutes before my time I was told by the receptionist she was running late I said no problem I'll catch up with work. 15 minutes later. Receptionist apologized again and called her for me . She told me she was at her apartment waiting for the maintenance person to come check her toilet and AC I found that totally bizarre and very rude since she had gave me no indication prior to my confirmed appointment that she was going to be running late or I would not have come and waited there or ideally we could've rescheduled. She said she would be on her way in 10 -15 minutes and to please wait for her. I've already been sitting there so decided to give her another 15 so we could finish my hair styling and trim since I was leaving next morning I had no other option . It turned out she was an hour and five minutes late altogether ,waltzed into the studio with her granddaughter in tow looked like they had just finished a nice lunch outing and gave me a flippant excuse of an apology for keeping me waiting for more than an hour. I was mind blown, but still needed the services so decided to let it go. She then proceeded to rush through the entire service. I have never done keratin before, so I was not aware of the actual processing time including the trim she had me out of there in 50minutes total !!! There's no apology for wasting my time or rushing. There's no discount nor complementary trim as a courtesy gesture mind you it was not even a haircut literally just trimming the bottom of my hair by half an inch that she charged me $65 for. Anyways, I just wanted to get out of there at that point was thoroughly disappointed with the entire saga. More annoying is that now I've had a few washes since the appointment and sad to say there is no keratin smoothening to talk off anymore. Everything is washed out I have no clue what she did seems like it was just a deep conditioning treatment instead of a Brazilian kind of service that should've lasted for at least 3 to 4 months according to what she had explained when I booked the appointment. So all in all it was total waste of time, money and energy I am completely shocked at the lack of customer service and courtesy from this "professional" who, in fact, even flat out just lied to the Groupon customer service agent telling them she did not keep me waiting when the entire salon that day was witness to how long I waited, including the receptionist who called her multiple times during my hour long wait :/ Take your business elsewhere, where the professional appreciates and values your time and money .

I think what contributes to that is that The studio operates on an appointment only basis. No walk-ins. So when you come in, you feel special. The studio is located on Owensmouth between Sherman Way and Wyandotte. There is metered parking out in front but there is also a a few free parking spots if you can find one. Note: If you have an appointment on Saturday, arrive early and look for parking on the side streets. There is a farmers market every Saturday And they close off the street right in front of the studio. Second note: book your appointment early because these ladies get booked fast!
