I put the address in my gps and it was exactly half a mile from my house and it said walk-ins welcome, so I took a chance. Walked in, who I assume was the owner or manager was SO nice and accommodating! I told her I had tried to call, and she said she'd find me appt. on the spot. Appt. was set for an hour later, and Lola, my nail tech was ready to go right at 11. She explained everything to me because it was my first time doing gel-x, and she took her time with every detail. The results were the best set I've had in life. Seriously. Flawless. The shop itself is small, but cute. The soundtrack is fire, and the vibes are positive. Found my new nail shop! read more

Went in here for a service to get my nails done last weekend. The girl in the front sat me down at her desk. To start off, I don't blame her for anything and I actually felt bad for speaking up at the time which is why I didn't. We agreed on a full set short nail. She did not mention to me, nor did her manager mention to me that she was still learning and an apprentice. I could tell by the way she started my nails and started doing my nails that she was not experienced, but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt however, my nails came out very bad and I paid full price. She did not know how to use acrylic. I really did try to give her the benefit of the doubt because she was so nice and I get it you have to learn somehow. But it's the principle, they didn't mention to me at all she was still learning and wasn't experienced and I would've appreciated the transparency. I didn't notice until after her certificate said "apprenticeship" . She did not have experience in applying acrylic or applying the actual nail to your nail bed. She applied the fake nail halfway on my nail bed instead of the tip. I'm actually so disappointed in this experience and I hardly ever speak up for myself. I paid $80 for this nail set and another woman came in asking how much is a fill and they told her $80 and she left. How is a fullset and fill the same price? read more

Had an appointment with Genisis and she did not disappoint! I showed her my inspo pic from IG and she got to work - decided to go with Gel X and so far, I'm loving them way more than acrylic! She also did my pedicure and while it was a long appointment (was there from about 1-4pm) since they didn't have enough people to do both services at the same time, the work is definitely worth it. Upon entrance, someone greets you right away, and they also offer you a complimentary beverage during your service. Caylee (who now does my nails and toes) is always punctual, is artistic and creative, and personable. Caylee takes time and great care to craft and perfect the designs I have in mind. She truly listens to what I want while also offering helpful input and creative suggestions based on the examples I provide. My nails and toes turn out beautifully -- hers are the first nail sets I've ever had last over a week, with zero chippy or lifting (she does Gel X on me) and I've had anything from dip to gel x to acrylic at other salons only to be disappointed when they lift and pop off after just a few days! Judith ALWAYS kills it with my nails. She comes up with such cute designs from simple & elegant to complex & eye catchy! My current set (I got done yesterday) is a nice red with some foil, like a present. Judith is so gentle with my nails and the whole process is done with top notch quality. Some salons cause nicks and burning but I NEVER have that with her. My nails last up to 5 weeks! Of course I try not to go that long between my gel x sets but it's still impressive quality. I have a daughter and am a nanny for 5 other children. My nails never chip or break. The salon is quaint and a nice spot to get a break. read more

She was very gentle and checked-in often to confirm if I liked the shape, color etc. I was a little unsure if I wanted designs, as I had been trying to keep things simple and growing out my natural nails. I got my nails done 1 month ago by jossys_nails at this shop. The first set I got done but after 3 weeks I lost a nail, which I thought was strange as I had been getting set done at another nail salon that was cheaper and those sets lasted 5-6 weeks. The second set I got done had a nail fall off again after 3 weeks. During the set, they were playing this really uncomfortable movie that had drug trafficking and sexual assault. I should have spoke up and said if they could turn it off, but chose not to. Then, I left the nail salons thinking my nails were good to go. 3 days later the gold gems on my nails turned silver. I reached out and she booked me to get them fixed with another nail artist. That nail artist brought me in and ripped all the messed up gems out and very messily put them back in. I had giant bubbles of gel over all the gems to the point that you couldn't even see the gems. Then she sent me out the door. I went back 5 minutes later after looking at the nails and asked her to do it again because they looked so messy. There was tails of gel coming off the side of the gel blobs on top of the gems. Then, she did the same process of ripping them out and honestly did I like them? No, but at this point it felt pointless speaking up because there was no way they were getting rid of the blobs of gel without redoing the set. So, I left and messed my original nail artist jossys_nails. We had to go back and forth and she wasn't very understanding and tried to twist that I should've complained the first time she did the nails if something was wrong. But nothing was wrong the first time until they tarnished. They offered me a 40 dollar refund or to come back and spend more time having them take the nails off for a full refund. The nails were $150!!! Now it's been 3 weeks since I got them "fixed" and I have had 3 gems fall out, 1 nail come off, and most of the gems have tarnished. I feel if you are going to charge these prices then you need to provide the quality service. I went to go search the nail artists name and she has blocked me. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend and I was so excited to go! Everyone seemed very friendly when I came in and my technician was kind but didn't speak any English and I unfortunately don't speak any Spanish. We had an obvious language barrier when I asked for tortoise shell gel nails (reference picture attached) the first pinky nail she showed me looked a bit rough but it was small and I couldn't describe to her how it looked off, not including the oranges, browns and yellows but instead it just being dark black splotches on brown nail polish. I figured it was a small charge for the bloom gel dots so I didn't try to continue fixing it and decided I just wouldn't do a design next time. When I went to pay they charged me for the manicure $46 but then an additional $55 for the freehand art. They did put a $15 dollar discount because I assume they know this is not what I asked for. I was too embarrassed to argue, paid and left very disappointed. read more
