I have never written a bad review before. But I want to write this for the sake of other folks and also that I feel robbed. First service, the owner came to fix my AC and he was very good & professional. I called them again recently since my AC stopped working. A different technician came this time and had a look at the problem. With out looking at the unit he started to say that I need to refill Freon. Then when he had a look at the unit he said I need a run and start capacitor. He wanted to charge me $400. When I was looking at the defective part and was curious how much it would cost, the technician asked me what I was doing. I looked it up in amazon and it costed less than $10. I asked him why is he charging $400. He replied when a certified technician does the job you have to pay that much. He went on to say "tell me if you want me fix it or not" and I declined. He charged me $115 for his time. I now have the problem rectified by another technician and he charged me $160. Now I feel robbed of $115 but at least relieved I didn't pay $400. read more

The owner Eric showed up on time with another tech and a helper. They diagnosed the problem and Eric left. The technician that stayed to do the work was very rude and disrespectful. The disrespect and the way he treated his helper was an embarrassment to me. Throwing out F bombs left and right in front of the customer. Eric (the owner) and Aaron have come to my rescue when I couldn't find a company that would return my calls let alone to come out and fix my broken AC on a severely hot day (over 100 F). I left a message after 9pm on a Saturday and got a call at 7:40 am the next day on Sunday (today) when I was wondering how I was going to survive the extreme heat inside, where to escape from the heat. Recently witnessed their technicians harass someone. Within a 5 minute period they tried to run another driver off the road, then started following them and looked to be trying to start a fist fight. I also saw the tech using his cell phone while driving. I'm not sure if there's something I missed, but regardless they should attempt to show at least a sliver of professionalism when representing their company and not trying to start car accidents and fist fights. read more

I never take time to write reviews but after Eric went out of his way to help me out in the rain as i was panicked my roof was leaking and water was dripping in , I beleive everyone needs to know how fast and Efficent he is !!!!! Service up n beyond the call of duty , and to come out and do repair in the pouring down rain and wind on my roof repairing my Heater flute that had moved in the wind and pouring down rain and was leaking water into my house and onto the Heater itself. I called him n within a half hour he had Arron at my front door and he quickly inspected the problem and got up on my roof , again mind you in the rain and wind and covered and repaired the Heater Flute to stop the leak temporarily till rain stopped. The VERY next morning Eric himself and Arron showed up at 8 am on a Saturday and correctly adjusted the Flute on my roof and permanently re tarred and fixed it like it was new, then he worked on the Heater itself and got it going in no time,these guys are AMAZING!!!! So honest and Nice and straight forward and VERY very reasonable priced,especially for the service he provides!!!! I know he Saved me a ton of money and could have charged way more and saved me from headaches and worries and did it with a smile and courteous manner like customer satisfaction is ALL he cares about or wants!!!!! Last week our upstairs a/c unit quit working just as Simi warmed up to 100+ degrees, then a few days later, our downstairs unit stopped blowing cold air. Bad timing....as we had company in town for several days. We called Shedlock Heating & Air and knowing both our units weren't working, Eric fit us in between his many other appointments a.s.a.p. He was able to diagnose and repair the a/c unit servicing the upstairs area in a few minutes and I couldn't have been happier, the cost was also extremely reasonable. Unfortunately, our downstairs unit's condenser is shot, so we will be replacing it. After calling around to price out a 3 ton unit, I found the quote Eric gave us was the best and we will be replacing the unit right away. Eric explained exactly what was wrong with both units, answered all our questions and hands down, you won't find a more experienced or friendlier a/c & heating guy in town. I know they must be super busy during this crazy heat wave, but 30 minutes after I gave them a call, they were at my door and diagnosed the problem with our AC in a matter of minutes. I had these guys come three times to my place to fix my heating and AC issue. The same issues still persist. The first time, I had the A/C unit serviced because it was not blowing cool air. After two days of fiddling with the units, the technician said the units needed maintenance and charged about $1200 for the job. Mind you, this is without an estimate. Fine, it was for three commercial units. Problem is three months later, I am now having similar issues with one of the units. This time, the unit is not blowing hot air. I called them to inspect the issue. They come by, after a day of work, they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with the unit. So, they called in another partner the next day. After, a good part of the morning, the result was the faulty unit needed Freon. Ok. Again, no estimate prior to services, I get hit with a $700 bill for one unit. I realize people don't work for free. So again, it is what it is. Problem is , two weeks later the same damned unit is not working. So, I called these guys and have yet to hear from them. Moral's of the story here are : 1) There are better heating A/C people out there that can get the job done right the first time. Do your homework. Go on referrals, not just reviews. Anyone can write a stellar review. 2) If you happen to use these people despite my advice, force them to give you an estimate. read more

What can I say, my home AC compressor went out on the 2nd hottest day of the year (so far)! Eric was recommended to me by another service company I trust (Archway Garage Doors). He answered his phone promptly, was interested in helping me and was able to squeeze me in despite having a fully booked day. He promptly and accurately diagnosed the issue, was able to go get the parts and my AC was up and running again within a couple of hours. Not sure how his service could have been any better.
