Bam bam shrimp tacos and a ribeye steak!

First time in Chippewa falls and we were able to walk to Shelley's! Service was very pleasant and kind! She made our evening and experience top notch. Food was very tasty we shared two dinners and it was perfect!

I was driving into town at 7am Saturday and slowed by this cool old building thinking it would be neat to stop and check it out but it was closed of course at that hour. Later that evening my son and his girlfriend took me there without me knowing. We had great appetizers the Brussel sprouts and cheese curds were amazing. My burger was also very good and the sausage soup was also great. My drinks were stiff and we met the owner. She was kind enough to try to put hockey on for us. Will go back for sure!

We love the character of the building, the patio and the staff of this place. Each time we visit Chippewa Falls we make it a point to get here. On our last visit we had the mushroom salad with steak and red rock shrimp and grits. Both were perfectly prepped!

Mushroom Bruschetta and Boom Boom Shrimp

Wow! Wow! Wow! I've lived in the Chippewa Valley for over 29 years and have never been to the gem until tonight. The atmosphere is fun and casual and intimate. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and the Mushroom Bruschetta to share. These were both fantastic!! The shrimp were slightly spicy and very juicy and balanced well with the greens. The bruschetta was more of a flatbread but it was earthy and also well-balanced. This was some of the best food we had in years. We couldn't resist more so we ordered the walnut burger and truffle fries to share. The fries were good but the walnut burger was tender and light and topped with all kinds of yumminess. This is a place I've been missing out on and a place we will be back to very soon!

I know lots of "local dives" that have great food and service. Unfortunately this is not one of…read morethem. It's not much to look at from the outside. The inside is bright, with lots of typical bar items, including video poker games, pool table, jukebox, etc. Came here on a Monday afternoon, after the lunch crowd. The was one other patron at the bar. We were the only table eating food. There were several staff at the bar, including the owner/cook, chatting it up and having a good time, and we got off to a great start. Our server got our party of 5 settled in with a clean wiped table and waters. The menu has typical bar, with includes unique burgers that we took a big interest in. We got several different sandwiches and burgers. All of them were "okay", but nobody was raving about their orders. Specifically, the fries were warm, but not hot, the smashburgers had good char, but not much flavor, and the presentation was not appetizing (the Cream Cheese on the Olive Burger looked curdled). We did share a couple pieces of the homemade cheesecakes (which were the non-baked whipped versions), and that was nice finish to the mediocre meal. The server was friendly, but didn't bother to check up on us. While she was socializing with the bar people, we had to fetch napkins, ask for waters, and then the check. I love to see Bar serve great food, but this one has a ways to go.
