Sad.... I have shopped at the "Beckley Auto Mall" since the mid 90's. ive probably bought 3 or 4…read morecars there since then. No matter my finances or credit history back then, I NEVER left without getting the deal done. The new " Dutch Miller " Beckley Automall may look like an upgraded old familiar face, but I assure you, the fancy new " Dutch Miller " sign does not hang proudly over an improvement on the original brand. I believe the worst part of what I am about to tell you, is that I even knew the salesman from previous positive transactions and I've known the finance manager for many years, and went through him at other dealerships. So, I called About a vehicle I seen on the lot. I was told the vehicle was $20,300. I was also scheduled for a " VIP Meeting" and told I would be meeting personally with the sales manager. This is the first crock of garbage that I was given. So, I go to my " VIP" meeting and a salesman finally walks down and talks to me. I, at first was pleased it was someone I had bought from before. I told him I wanted to trade in my current vehicle. he let me test drive the vehicle while they looked at mine. I came back and was invited into the salesman's office while they " worked "up my deal. I also told him I didn't want to put any money down, as I had just bought property. Now granted, my car has a few minor issues for a 2014, but it's also something that is no longer made and in high demand. So, although it won't hit the $9,000.00 top kelly blue book value, I have been offered a few times from Carvanna to buy it straight out for around $7500.00 which is far above the under $5000.00 I still owe on it. About 15 minutes go by, and the salesman returns and asks me if I " have " to use the car as a trade In? I told him I don't " have to" if I can get a better deal without it? He said ok and went back out. Now the truth to this is they didn't even want to even give me payoff for my car. now my credit isn'tt stellar, but its not in the tank either. My debt to income ratio Is excellent. here is what happens next. The salesman comes out and tells me they got me approved, but I needed to pay 5 thousand up front? So, let's look at this for a minute... I want to trade in a car, you won't give me anything for my trade. Next, I'm approved for a loan, but you want me to pay 5 k up front? Now here is where it gets sketchy... I was never brought into the finance office to even discuss this deal? I was never set down and shown numbers? I was just told this and basically left at the door. So I thought ok, maybe I take the deal? I called back and was basically blown off by the salesman. I called again and ask for the finance manager. I was given his voicemail and never got a return call. Later, I looked online, and the car was advertised for $1000 less than they were " working" into my deal. $19,300 to be exact I Went by the dealership the next morning, and the vehicle was gone... sold? So, let's recap, you won't give me a trade in, you won't even discuss the deal you offered me, the vehicle was advertised for less than you priced it to me at and hit my credit with inquiries for? And you never called me back and the car was gone the next day???, and I knew the people I was dealing with for many years.... So, you tried to rip me off? You lied to me About the price, and you basically treated me like a second class citizen because I didn't have stellar credit...? or, what was it, you had some personal Vendetta against me? You didn't like how I looked ? Or was one of your buddies or someone working there wanting that vehicle? I would go back to the ripping me off theory, but given I was never given the chance to discuss my options, it was more like you wanted to offer me a bad deal, because you had other plans for the vehicle.. If that's " VIP treatment, I would hate to see the standard deal. AS FOR MYSELF AND MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY, WE WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON THIS LOT AGAIN......

Do NOT recommend. We purchased a vehicle from the Dutch Miller lot near Sophia WV in Sept 2023…read more These people are the reason auto lots get bad reps, straight lying slime balls. They "say" a 31 point inspection has been conducted before purchase, only for issues to arise the next day. We were told the breaks screeching was where it had sat, give it time & the sound would go away. I mean, why would they sell a car less than a year old with bad brakes... ha. They can & THEY DID. After our 1st "complimentary" oil change, they brought out a bill for almost 515 bucks for new brakes... uh, what? So yeah, there's that. Not to mention how the vehicle was supposed to have been detailed 2 weeks after we had it (why wasn't it cleaned prior to showing it on the lot)? The guy who performed said detail a couple weeks later must've been blind. It's almost like he sprayed the carpets with water & called it a day. After wasting 3 hours of our time, I detailed it myself. These folks should be ashamed, but I'm sure they're all pretty pleased with their skeezy ways. Proceed with extreme caution when choosing to visit this trash establishment.

My "new used " car I purchased from the dealership, 2019 4WD Ford Escape has a cluster panel failure issue ... the dealer service manager refuses to fix the car after a service employee mechanic witnessed the car panel and consequentlymade an appointment for repair.. I showed the problem to Mr Wise (purchased through him) and the car is under both factory and extended warranty . Finally they agree to fix it ... I drive over 47 miles ... sit in the waiting room from 8:30 to 11:30. Employee comes in says my car is ready. Except we didn't fix your instrument panel as still the computer won't recognize the fact the part is defunct. I went specifically to have that repaired so I can see the dashboard at night. I complained. They pull their very aggressive service manager out who immediately tells me I have to leave ... I said I'm not leaving until someone comes up with a plan to fix my car. It's not safe. I was escorted out by force at the hands of a Beckley police officer. Who grabbed my bad arm and yanked me out the door. The State Police were very nice to me. Sadly I witnessed the same service treatment given to an extremely elderly woman (I'm 64) ... she was in tears .... complaining they said they were going to fix her car very upset. Tattoo guy comes out and tells this raisin of a woman that if she doesn't leave he's calling the police. It is thier habit I've learned. Not only was I lied to but I realized when I cut home the carpet under the driver's side was ripped up. So apparently they did something behind the dash. I have no idea what. I'm now taking my business to Princeton dealership who were very nice and will honor the warranty and replace the failing panel.

I returned at 1:00 p.m. Their service person, Brandon, informed me that the technician was just then pulling my truck in. Then Brandon informed me that it would be an additional hour and a half to repair the latch. An hour later after I left the dealership while waiting for the repairs to be done, I received a text message from Brandon saying they had to order the parts and therefore the dealership couldn't make the repairs.

So I've been dealing with this issue for about two months. I had made an appointment for 9am today…read moreafter having Ford Corporate AND this dealership in conference making the appointment with me a week previously.   I show up and get attitude from the service guy and then they act like I'm "Hulk Hogan tearing up the place," for simply raising my voice a bit and telling their guy he doesn't need to give me attitude.   Here are the main points:   1. Their service intake bay was coned off on one side with two cars filling the other side of the bay - So I couldn't pull into the intake bay. I pulled up and had two or so service folks see me sitting there....Nothing. Not even a signal to come in....Then the garage door was actually closed, "in my face," right in front of me after that!   So I sit there for about five minutes waiting for someone to come out and do my intake since I can't drive in (Like I'm supposed to). Finally, I decided to go in because I didn't know what else to do. ‍   2. Go to service desk and I'm met with a guy that is asking me what I'm there for when THEY had my appointment and had already talked to Ford Corporate. We went back and forth with where I  tried to explain that I was there for a repair that was diagnosed two months ago and that I don't remember the exact problem. I told him that I had been dealing with Ford in Detroit and that they had also been in contact with them.   This jerk gives me attitude with the fun line, "Sir, we can't help you if we don't know what you're here for." Nice. The ol' "Making the customer look stupid" move when I was trying to explain and have him simply look up the case. Seriously, I have only been going back and forth with Ford on this for two months.   So I called him out on his tone and how he was being short with me where I told him I that I didn't need his attitude and I didn't appreciate his tone. He gives me even more attitude and starts yelling toward the service guy about ten feet away saying, "How can I help this guy if he won't tell me what's wrong!"   3. Now some tatted up meathead shows up (I'm guessing he's some kind of manager) and gives me the normal, "What's the problem here?" I explained the attitude from the guy and the meathead tells me that they need to know whether my car is going in for an oil change, basic service, a repair, etc. (Duh! I told the guy it was a repair and that I couldn't remember the exact problem). He gave me no apologies; no politeness; nothing. He just kept making accusations and questioning me like I did something wrong. The meathead proceeds, at one point, to tell me that, "There was no need to be aggressive."   Aggressive? I raised my voice slightly and was irritated. And rightfully so. This service guy was giving me attitude and I was trying to explain that he just needed to look it up because I didn't recall the exact repair. It isn't my fault that everyone is so emasculated that a man can't even raise his voice anymore without being looked at like a frickin' gunman or something.   This place gets one star for:   1. Not knowing what the heck is going on when someone shows up for a repair that they have already had diagnosed and for which made an appointment a week earlier;  2. Having a guy working for them that goes immediately to having an attitude and being short and rude when a customer was trying to explain his situation, but I suppose wasn't giving a good enough answer for them . 3. Instead of attempting to deescalate the situation, they make it worse by bringing in more people and then making the customer feel like they did something wrong while not even covering the bad attitude from their own employee with so much as an apology; 4. When their customer was visibly upset, but threatening no one, he was called "Aggressive" with everyone working there within forty feet staring and making it all feel so much worse and embarrassing when it should not have been. I didn't yell and I threatened no one.   Bottom Line:    Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. These folks are the stereotypical dealership types that act like they're doing you a favor by just being there.  They then get all "Aghast!" when a customer has the "nerve" to get frustrated with their arrogance and absurd rudeness.   This place is simply reflective of how the word "Service" in today's world, from McDonald's to buying a house, now simply means doing the job and getting them the heck gone ASAP - not making the customer comfortable and/or happy while getting the job done. Customers are just numbers, treated like cattle being herded through lines and "intakes," with no attention, whatsoever, given to the fact that customers are people and would like to be appreciated for their business from time to time.

I had him come out for a pre‑inspection and to fix a coolant leak on a vehicle I was test‑driving. The repair was simple, but I was charged $180 for what was billed as two hours of work. I already knew about the coolant leak and had tried to plan ahead, but the part I ordered was incorrect. He went to O'Reilly to get the right one, which I appreciated. After the repair, I asked him to test‑drive the van to confirm it was in good working order. He said he drove about 80 mph in Beckley and that it seemed fine, though he did mention a whining noise. He stated it was definitely not the transmission or pump, even though three OBD codes pointed toward transmission‑related issues. My mechanic immediately recognized the noise as a classic sign of a failing transmission -- something any experienced mechanic should have caught, especially with multiple codes indicating a problem. Long story short, the transmission is completely shot. I genuinely wonder how hard the van was driven during that 80 mph test run. Overall, not happy with the experience and do not recommend.
