All of the new treatments out there can be confusing but they really break it down and figure out what you need and want. They use all the little extras like numbing, vibration, after-masks, ice, topicals to keep you as comfortable as possible. They also have their own product line and it's really good. I didn't think I would switch over, but after using the products for a little while I was a big fan. Their products are quality and make my mourning and evening routines so much easier and quicker! " LOL Let me start this review off by saying that one's experience and spa, at any point... Should never feel rushed or make one on edge. It is taking me a long time to post this review, because I like to believe the best in people. I want to think that she was having a bad day... But I feel an obligation to let clients know what they're getting into. NOTE: I was going to send this in an email to the former owner, Lisa but unfortunately the spa is *SHOCKINGLY* under new ownership now. (I visited the salon on my last trip to TN last July.) Emmy started the facial at 12:48 and ended the facial at 1:22. I'm not great at time management, but I could tell she was rushing, and she cut it short. I asked Emmy if she did the micro dermabrasion near my milia's on my eyes and she said no I'm not gonna put scrub on your eyes. I understand the eye area is delicate. I have worked in several high and spas in resorts. These milia's were big enough to get to safely- I only made the appointment because I was told him I saw that the aesthetician would take care of them. Upon getting into the treatment room, after I laid down onto the bed and was greeted with a knock maybe 10 seconds after getting undressed- I felt rushed, pressured and uneasy. I just washed my hair, and when she started putting stuff in my face, I asked if she had a headband or towel to keep it out of my hair. Not only did she not have a headband in the room - when I requested one she said, "I think I have one out there.." (with the pregnant pause and subtext of "but I'm not going to go the extra mile." (When anyone who has gotten a facial or done one properly knows the hair must be out of a client's face.) My response: "Oh if it's far no worries..." She never got the headband and continued with her "facial." Emmy immediately told me she couldn't do a scalp massage and a hand massage (or she'd run out of time,) and I said "okay, great as long as you can do the extractions!" Emmy didn't explain at all what she was putting on my face while she was doing it there was no communication it was completely uncomfortable.. nor did she ask if I had any sensitivities or allergies. RED FLAG. Nor did she ask if I wanted oil in my hair for the scalp massage I asked Emmy to get rid of the milias on my cheeks initially, but upon leaving on my way out at the front on, (in the reception area because I noticed she either forgot or ignored my comment and my right cheek had redness and heavy irritation due to her poking at the milias and not finishing.) When I asked about the milias she avoided completely and the two she picked at..note: this was in the reception area she said "THAT'S TINY and I have another client.. so I have to go." Her response in the most uninterested/unprofessional and catty tone. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism I was given, not only because of my experience, working in spas and going to many ... But also because there were other clients and the reception area, as well as the (obviously nice but learning,) brand new receptionist. If I was the owner or manager at this establishment, I would be absolutely mortified. I was embarrassed on behalf of the owner because it's a really cute place. I'm leaving the review now because I'm back in Tennessee and I still have hyperpigmentation from where she picked at my milias

I never knew what I was missing. I always request Natalie because she is kind, attentive and professional during my facials. Today I had my first power peel using glycolic acid and she explained the process and made me feel very comfortable. I also love the power facials but my favorite is the 75 minute facialiscious- extra face massage plus arms and feet! What a treat- in fact I love them more than many of the full body massages I've gotten in my life. The shop is beautiful and showcases their line of products, which you may like to purchase for yourself or others. I use the eye cream, vitamin c concentrate, skin boost serum , mint chapsticks, deluxe face kream lite and the hydradew mask. These products last a long time and I feel like I'm doing good things for my face. The owners and staff here always take great care of me and I'm so glad to have found out about this place. Went for my first appointment with Marina today for a simple eyebrow waxing…read more Walking into the appointment I was already confused because the door was locked and you had to ring a doorbell for her to open it up for you. I waited outside so she could stop her service and let me in. No big deal but she hardly greeted me, asked for my name and for me to fill out forms. There was no pen, she said I would fill them out later but never did. She had over booked herself and I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes for my appointment. When I finally when back there she was frantic about messing up her books, which I understand. She told me to lay on the table and immediately started putting wax on me, hardly asking anything about my preferred shape. She ended up getting wax in my hair somehow and was oiling it, yanking my hair trying to get it out and it was painful. She somehow got it on top of my head and also on the hair surrounding my ears. She was super apologetic and embarrassed, but it hurt and i ended up having to comb wax out of my hair at home because she couldn't get it all out. I was pulling hair out of my head. The wax itself was fine. A little expensive at $15. She didn't tweeze any stray hairs or trim the hairs at all. She didn't even really examine them once she was done. I was nervous to look at the final result. It wasn't terrible but my eyebrows are not the same shape at all and do have some stray hairs that should've been taken care of. I explained to her I hadn't waxed my eyebrows in a long time and was really wanting to get back to a uniform shape... I'm not sure I'll return.

I was looking for genuine competence, somewhere that also staid up to date with the latest and greatest treatments and products. I had an extremely negative experience with a PRX facial at this clinic, and I would not recommend…read moreit to anyone. Before the treatment even started, I was explained by the sales rep during one of their events this is perfect for event nights. I specifically booked the appointment when I had an important event. ! clearly told the provider which skincare products I use--including Vitamin C and Obaji (products they sell themselves)--and was told it was fine. I was given no meaningful pre-care guidance, which is completely unacceptable for a treatment involving active ingredients. The treatment itself was shockingly aggressive and painful. This was not "slightly uncomfortable"--it was a 9/10 pain level, with my eyes tearing throughout. She started with what said was was gently washing my face which already felt like exfoliation and abrasive. Based on everything I've since seen and read, this is not how this treatment is supposed to be performed. I even watched a live demo of this and it looked effortless. This young 21 year old they had made it feel like I was in the Korean spa getting my first layer of skin sloshed off. It felt careless and improperly executed, incredibly abrasive and aggressive. Nothing like a massage. Immediately afterward, my face was covered in red bumps and blotchy irritation. I had an event the same evening, she said I would be fine. My skin looked significantly worse than before I walked in. Instead of improving my skin, this treatment visibly damaged it. To make matters worse, the only aftercare I was given was a faded, barely legible printout, and I was quickly ushered out the door with no real explanation. Nothing except a piece of paper. Is this how you treat human beings when you should be the expert? No one took the time to properly walk me through what to expect or how to care for my skin after such an aggressive procedure. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism, training, and basic client care. Between the poor communication, disregard for the products I was using, and the way the treatment was performed, I do not feel this service was done safely or correctly. While the clinic did respond after I complained, that does not undo the experience or the condition my skin was left in. I would strongly caution others before booking this service here. I have reason to believe that the "nurse" performing this named Isabelle seemed very inexperienced. I should also mention that this was hard to book this appointment as they had no one on staff to do it on the day I needed it and then suddenly they had someone with a lot of 'expertise' on hand to do it. I think I was her first patient and she had clearly no idea what she is doing. Also they offered me a release form to sign as they know they did something wrong. I should also add that when speaking to the owner about this she seemed careless, stood behind her staff and dismissed all of my complaints as issues. They offered contradictory info, between when I bought this package and when out I tried to book it. They are all about selling, not actually following thru on what they sell.
