She had always been self-conscious about a small bump on her nose, and after hearing wonderful things about him from a nurse whose daughter had seen him, we scheduled a consultation. That consultation fee was worth every penny. From the moment Dr. Sullivan walked into the room, he was warm, funny, honest, and incredibly genuine. Instead of immediately agreeing to a nose job, he looked at my daughter and said, "You absolutely do not need a nose job." I respected him immediately for that. He took the time to explain why she was not a good surgical candidate and recommended a very subtle amount of filler instead. What impressed me most was how he spoke directly to my daughter, encouraging her to advocate for herself and clearly explain what she wanted. As someone who struggled with social anxiety, it was such a powerful moment to watch her gain confidence during that appointment. Dr. Sullivan handled everything with kindness, professionalism, and integrity. He was also extremely ethical. When my daughter jokingly asked about lip filler at 16, he immediately said he would never do that on someone her age. Later, when she was older, he still kept everything natural and tasteful. He never pushed unnecessary procedures and even told us to wait longer between visits because she simply didn't need more filler yet. The results were beautiful, subtle, and natural -- exactly what my daughter wanted. More importantly, he made her feel confident and comfortable in her own skin. Dr. Sullivan is talented, honest, compassionate, and refreshingly ethical in a field where that can sometimes be hard to find. I cannot recommend him enough. This review was a long time coming. I kept trying to get my daughter to write it herself, but between college and sorority life, she's always too busy! Many people would probably think I'm crazy for bringing my daughter for filler, but Dr. Sullivan never made me feel that way. He was just as excited as she was with the results. Dr. Sullivan is an excellent doctor and worth every penny -- if you're going to do it, do it right. TL;DR: I spent over $17,500 at Finesse for liposuction that completely failed--and was left with…read moresevere scarring and zero results. I had an unsuccessful liposuction procedure with Dr. Shektman at Finesse. During my initial consultation, their salesperson, Kim, assured me that the procedure would dramatically improve my postpartum body. Based on these claims, I spent more than $17,500--with no positive outcome whatsoever. After the surgery clearly failed (which Kim, Joanna, and Dr. Shektman all acknowledged), they offered me a Morpheus8 treatment, claiming it could correct the skin folding caused by the liposuction. They said they'd "only" charge me an additional $500. I agreed, hoping to improve some of the damage done by lipo. That treatment was performed by their esthetician, Rachel--and it made things significantly worse. Six months later, my abdomen is still covered in severe scarring (see pics). When I sought help, they insisted I come in for a five-minute evaluation by their nurse, Joanna, and esthetician, Rachel--neither of whom has the medical expertise to handle the kind of deep tissue scarring I experienced. Dr. Shektman's only recommendation was hydrocortisone, which is wildly inappropriate for subdermal scarring caused by a failed RF microneedling procedure. The bottom line is: I'm not wasting more time listening to cosmetic "professionals" who are clearly out of their depth and caused the damage in the first place. I've waited nearly a year to write this review, hoping that someone at Finesse--Dr. Shektman, Kim, anyone--would take responsibility and at least offer a partial refund. That never happened. I was misled about what results I could expect, and I now have permanent scarring and an even greater financial and emotional burden. I've since seen two board-certified dermatologists and spent even more money trying to fix the damage done by Dr. Shektman and Rachel. I feel betrayed, taken advantage of, and deeply disappointed. Please--do not trust this place. They'll say whatever they need to say to close the sale, but once you've paid and signed away your rights, you're on your own. The results don't matter to them. Your health and satisfaction don't matter to them. Ironically, I've had substantially better results using Semaglutide (Ozempic), which cost $400--not $17,500--and helped me lose 30 pounds in 5 months. No scarring. No lies. No emotional trauma. They said I didn't follow post op procedures, which is not true. One arm looks great, the other awful. I cut a slit in the bottom of my arm garment, well below my elbow, where it was so tight around my lower arm muscle that my hands were going numb. They tried to tell me that was the reason my whole upper arm is messed up, even though the other arm is fine. They tried to convince me my messed up arm was actually fine and I must have body dysmorphia to think it is't. Only after I presented them with another Drs review of the work (which also confirmed it wasn't my fault) would they consider fixing it. She then did a fat transfer, but the tissue in my arm seems to be still so damaged from the liposuction (a year and a half later), that the fat transfer didn't take. I still have one liposuction wound that won't heal, a year and a half later, it still is scabbed. The other wound is deeply scarred on that arm, although the okay arm healed right away and the scars disappeared. Of course the office says I must have some kind of picking disorder. Everything, my fault. Of course when the office was selling the procedure they said they would laser any scars, which they didn't follow-through on. Now when I write them, telling them the fat procedure didn't take, for 3 weeks now I've been writing and sending photos, and I've been ghosted, no one writes me back. You may think that I must have gotten rude, but I tried to always be kind, I just wanted them to help and tell me what to expect with my healing and what was normal and what wasn't. If you ask AI what is wrong with my arm, it says, ask your Dr. Well, mine won't talk to me after a fat transfer for a liposuction procedure she botched, so what do I do? See another Dr? But Dr. Chung has $10,000 of my money, won't help me, won't talk to me and won't refund me so that I can get help from someone else. She has done both physical and deep psychological damage.
