After having two nine pound babies in eighteen months my stomach would not go back to normal. I exercised religiously, I ate right, I hired personal trainers. Nothing seemed to work. The baby weight was gone, but I still had a protruding bulge that made me look pregnant. During my routine visits with my OB, he advised me to continue to work out even harder and "eventually" it would go away. I ended up seeking a second opinion, and the new Doctor suspected that it was hernia. Sure enough after 2 years of working out, and a cat scan later. Sure enough the Doctor that was going to perform the surgery had horrible reviews. I cancelled the appointment and started my own search for the perfect surgeon to fix my stomach. Right away my husband and I discovered Dr. Christopher Davidson of Wellesley, MA. His background, and qualifications, and positive reviews put him at the top of my list. After my first consolation he put mind at ease. He walked me through the steps of the surgery, what the results should be, and what the possible side effects of having the surgery could be (No belly button)!. He made himself available via phone and email to answer all of my ongoing questions. He really is the perfect Doctor. He is straight forward and tells you exactly the facts, he does not sugarcoat. This allows you to know exactly what your expectations should be. Finally the day of my surgery came, and I was blown away by how professional and courteous his staff was. I opted to have the surgery at the office, which turned out to be the best decision. I was able to call with my concerns after my surgery and actually speak to both Dr. Davidson and members of his OR staff. I'm 7 weeks post op, and my results are fantastic. To put it simply Dr. Davidson has changed my life. I have had numerous surgeries with Dr. Davidson and my results are beyond amazing, almost unbelievable (sometimes I find myself starring in the mirror thinking WOW!!). Before my first appointment I was extremely nervous and hesitant. In situations where the patient is vulnerable and can be embarrassing/nerve racking he treats his patients with kindness, care, and no judgement. He takes the time to talk to you about anything and everything you have concerns or questions about and never rushes you out of your appointment. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him! I have recommended him to numerous friends and family members. The people that I have recommended him to love him as well! His talent and skills in what he does are unfathomable, his love for what he does shines through with the way he treats his patients and in the end results of the procedures. After my experience with Dr. Davidson I can almost assure that all his 5 star reviews are probably not even real. Following my surgery, during all my follow-up appointments, Dr. Davidson dismissed my concerns and feelings to such an extent that it took him two months to realize that the sutures above my bellybutton had either loosened or come undone. Throughout this period, he repeatedly assured me that "it's all swollen, it will go down with time," despite my insistence that something felt amiss. During my final visit, he inquired whether I had posted an online review about him, to which I replied no. After evaluating my condition, he concluded that I required another surgery to repair my abdominal muscles. When I inquired about the cost, given that I had already paid approximately twenty thousand dollars in cash, he responded, "well you need to work with me so I can work with you." This statement left me perplexed, and when I sought clarification from the nurse, Dr. Davidson added, "you need to go home and erase that review and sign a legal document stating that you will not speak negatively about myself or my staff after surgery." I was taken aback and confused by his remarks. Such behavior is entirely unethical and infringes upon my rights as a patient. Many have described this as blackmail. Subsequently, for the next two weeks, his nurse called to check on me and asked, "did you remove that review? That will just delay your surgery date," which I considered harassment. I expressed my concerns to her, and she ceased her calls. I feel compelled to share this experience to ensure that no one else endures a similar situation. This has been the most distressing experience I have encountered with a healthcare provider. I find what I went through to be utterly shocking. His primary concern appeared to be his reviews rather than the safety of his patients. In addition to all the challenges I faced, I encountered complications that necessitated three courses of antibiotic treatment. Furthermore, the procedure resulted in an unnecessary incision in my abdomen, which required packing for over a month due to inadequate expertise. read more

I have had three plastic surgery procedures with Dr. Christopher Davidson, and I highly and unreservedly recommend him and his staff to anyone considering plastic surgery in the Greater Boston area. His surgical skills are excellent, but even more important to me are his interpersonal skills. He immediately made me comfortable during my initial consultation with his professional and competent demeanor. He spent as much time as it took to make me comfortable with the procedures and answered all my questions. I even emailed him prior to my surgery with some more questions and he responded thoroughly and promptly. I experienced a post-operative infection (I am prone to them, so it was not unexpected) and was even more impressed with how he handled this. He responded to me within hours of my contacting him on a Sunday night about the infection, and had me in his office the following day as soon as I could make it in there. His team is top-notch, too! I cannot say enough about the competency and warmth shown by his Nurse Manager, Karen Godwin and his Office Manager, Pam Linehan. They are equally as dedicated to his patients as he is, which made for a wonderful experience in terms of follow-up care, appointments, insurance questions, billing, etc. I have as much confidence in them as I do in Dr. Davidson. His offices are comfortable and clean, and the waiting area is gorgeous! Of my three procedures, one took place at Newton Wellesley Hospital, one took place in his exam rooms, and the last one took place in his on-site surgical suite, so I can confidently recommend all of them. For five years after having my third child I wanted to get a tummy tuck but was scared to do it. I told myself that I had gotten used to living with the sag and extra skin that came from my three enormous babies, and even that no one but me could see it in clothing and swimwear. Right. When I finally made the decision to investigate tummy tuck surgery, I did extensive research to find the right board certified plastic surgeon. I chose Dr. Davidson because I wanted a plastic surgeon in the metro west Boston area with impeccable credentials, education and training and because I wanted someone who had their own operating room, who could spare me the trips to the hospital (I have many physician friends). His staff is extremely kind and helpful. The anesthesiologist was warm and caring and my time "under" felt like a great nap. I was extremely nervous on the day of my surgery and everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors made me feel completely safe and well-cared-for. Now, just one month after surgery, I wish I hadn't waited so long. Even with some redness and swelling remaining along the incisions, I already look better in a bikini than I have in years. My tummy is tight and smooth - it looks like my kids' tummies! - a far, far cry from the crinkled bag of droopy skin that it was just 5 weeks ago. I was very impressed with his background and experience in his field, so I decided to book a consultation with him. I've been impressed with him since day one. I came prepared with a dozen questions and he answered them all with great confidence and knowledge on the subject. My experience with Dr. Davidson and his staff was wonderful! I did a lot of research and met with multiple surgeons before choosing Dr. Davidson. I know I made the best choice possible! He really took the time to address all of my questions, gave me honest answers and clear expectations. Dr. Davidson is a wonderful doctor. Before I saw him, I had had 2 procedures to repair ripped ear lobes. The first one was done 10 years ago and the last 5 years ago and neither worked. Dr. Davidson used a different method and also repierced my ears which neither of the 2 previous doctors had done. It's important that the repiercing is done right (you can't use the same hole) but Dr. Davidson was the only one who would do it. The other 2 doctors made me go to a kiosk at a mall and have a 20-year-old girl do it. And it didn't work. SO glad I found Dr. Davidson! (He was also cheaper than the other 2 doctors!) read more
