Horrible service. I'm a very patient person & work in customer service myself, but the third time is my last that I vow to ever use this station. Sadly because of one person - Evelyn. So called manager of this station. No such thing as customer satisfaction, they simply do not care. I do not recommend this station. NOW THIS: I do not recommend going to Shell gas stations or purchasing Shell gift cards. I purchased a $100 gift card and it was no good. I talked to the station attendant and he was no help. I called the number on the back of the card and was told to fax the information - NEVER received a response. I mailed my information and still ZERO RESPONSE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SHELL! The gas prices are not that bad here but the car wash is the worse. The card reader is always broken and seems like the owner doesn't give a rats ass about fixing it either. There is no sign telling you it doesn't work or even a sign that says to pay inside for car wash. I was literally raping that card reader with my credit card and it just wouldn't work. I spent way too long trying to get it to work. I finally went inside and told them the card reader is broken and their is no sign. Person at the cashier said the owner doesn't want to put up a sign and he's definitely not going to fix the reader. I won't come here again. Oh and one more thing. The cafe food smells really really bad. I had to hold my breath. Seems like they don't have a good exhaust fan and all the smells stays inside. Really crappy car wash, super bummed I wasted money on it! I have never been to a car wash that made my car look worse than before... until today. I will note, however, that I didn't have any more cash after going through and perhaps if I was able to pay the guy that was manually drying at the exit it would have been better. I will never go back to this station again. I called to verify that they sell propane. Friday, 6:15 PM, I called and spoke to a lady. She said yes. So, I ask her if I can stop by in 10 minutes to get my empty propane tanks filled. She said yes. When I got there, after lining up, the male sales person at the register said we don't sell propane. Shells credit card reader on the outside by the pump does not work and hasn't worked for over 2 months now both times I was told there we're being fixed when it seems nothing was ever done . Car wash terminal kept saying it couldn't read my Visa card. We tried my boyfriend's and it wouldn't read either, so I put in two $5 bills. The machine didn't dispense any change, and since you have to select which wash you want before you pay, I couldn't upgrade to the $10 wash to at least get my money's worth. read more

This Shell Gas Station is extremely clean I never been to a gas station this clean. Even the bath room is always clean. The convenient store is always clean, organized, and fully stock. They have many drinks options that are cold in the cooler and excellent variety of snacks and great prices. The employees have excellent customer service skills and they're always friendly, and have a smile on their faces. This Shell Gas Station is at an excellent location right next to the freeway. I don't go here for the gasoline. Lately I've been riding the bus due to a very inconvenient misfortune. On my way to work, in the morning, the 35 bus drops me off right in front of the Circle K/Shell station. It's nice to have the Circle K right there to be able to pick up things I need for the day, like something extra for lunch/snack, or hand sanitizer etc. This was a great addition to the gas station. I also like the pre-packaged stuff from the deli/sandwich shop there too. The service is usually pretty quick at the register, which I like because I have a small window of time to transfer to the 76 bus on Talbert. 3 Stars = "A-OK." read more

The prices here are pretty competitive for the area (way lower if you use the Ralph's gas discount). There are many pumps here and they have a pretty decent car wash. However, the squeegees suck and the water they are in smells like rotten eggs! read more

My goodness. I shouldn't be writing this review right now because I have a lot of work to do.. but I am SO mad at Shell. This gas station USED to be my favorite gas station because it was cheaper than other gas stations.. Only the cash/debit discount is cheaper (today it was 3.83 vs 3.89), but the credit price was the same as Chevron across the street. I went at 10:22PM to pump gas, and I had trouble with the first pump because it wouldn't stay running and when I decided to stop pumping the gas, it wouldn't stop! Therefore.. much of my gas ended up on the floor. The second pump I went to, the button "2" was broken for the zipcode, so it said to see the attendee inside. She said to go to a different one (and was VERY rude). So I went to another pump and the card didn't work AGAIN so I had to go pay inside.. Another girl had the same problem. The worst customer service ever. Furthermore, I wasted a lot of my gas starting my car up.. ugh... I am NEVER going to this gas station again. Chevron it is! I use credit card, so I never get the discount anyway. I just happen to live in the city. One more thing to note: Shell's floor was not very well designed. The floor is uneven because of the gas pipe cover, so if your wheels happen to be on it, it will not pump till your tank is full. read more

This Shell station has a nice Circle K convenience store. Lots of pumps not a bad place and good prices. They offer 10 cent per gallon discount if you buy a car wash. The car wash is touch less, slow, and a waste of money. My CRV is still dirty. And the discount is only given to you if you go inside and ask for it and they give you cash. I received $1.40 cash for 14 gallons after I went inside to request my receipt with my car wash code and then realized I did not get my discount. I had to tell the clerk to give me my discount after she gave me my receipt. She knew. Bad!! I will not return!! read more

They claim to discount gas 15 cents per gallon when someone gets a car wash, but in all our years, they have never told us that the only way to get that 15 cents is to come back inside after the gas is pumped. AWFUL SERVICE FROM SHELL 17966 BROOKHURST ST. Fountain VALLEY, CA 92708. My tire registered on my dash as low so I stopped in this service station. The pay air machine turned on and I began to fill my tire. Instead of filling my tire it actually took the rest of the air out, leaving it so low it was un drivable. I went inside and spoke with woman behind the counter and told her about my problem. She smiled and said that she new it didn't work. I mentioned she should put a sign on the machine, but she didn't want to be bothered. While I was waiting for roadside service another victim used the air machine and the same thing happened. I did warn him. He too went inside to get his money and report the problem and told me the woman didn't care. So now we are both stuck here. When A gas station charges for air they should care if their equipment is causing problems for customers! BAD SERVICE! read more

This place is great for gas and the only station I use to get gas. My problem is with the propane service. The last four times I have gone here for propane, they have no one available to fill my tank. I end up having to go to the 76 station across the street. I don't even know why they offer propane if they don't staff people during all business hours to fill the tanks. read more

I know everyone love this place b/c of the cheap gas.. I used to like that one, until that day... oh.. I remember that day.. I got out from my hot yoga class.. I was wet from top to bottom but ran out of the gas and so I went in before I hit the freeway.. I probably went to four pumps in that station that night. First pump.. it reject my credit card, wth?? So I switch to another pump using another credit card.. rejected..so I had to go in and give them my card and say an amount, I was getting annoying b/c I'm so cold and freezing..went back.. it finally start to pump but it jump up like after 10 second, so I push again.. it bounce back again.. I guess sensor wasn't working.. then I went in again and ask the guy to change me to another pump.. okay.. let's try that again.. 3 second into the pumping action, bounce back up, I did a couple of try.. still bounce back up.. all the freaking sensors in the pump are broken!!! WTF!! I went in and ask for refund.. I was PISSED OFF!!! And i caught a cold that night b/c I was running around for different pumps.. I guess all the guys were staring at me wearing little hot yoga pants and a mini top running around like an idiot. UGGGGGGHHHH!!!!! I bought a car wash at the pump, which was a big mistake. I had my receipt and drove up to the wash. I entered the only number on the receipt that I could find. It didn't work. The lady in the car behind me ran up to my car and looked at the receipt. She said those weren't the code numbers to enter on my receipt. Furthermore, there was no phone number on the receipt. That's just poor business practice. The internet was really slow in that area, so I had to call my daughter to get the number of the gas station. Meanwhile, there is a line of cars behind. me. So I got the number and called the station and the guys says, " the code number isn't on your receipt, after you pay for it you have to go inside the station to get the code. " He did give me the code over the phone. But what an inconvenient hassle. What on earth is the point of buying a car wash at the pump. I did go through the wash.
