Never open after ten o'clock. My card won't read at the pump and I cannot get gas at 1145pm. This place anytime after ten is a joke . The guy at the counter won't even acknowledge or look at you. The day shift has a young girl that is amazing. I even asked her if the gas station was open late and she said yes. I had a recent fraud alert put on my bank account and I had to call my bank in order to approve any transactions,she was not frustrated or treated me poorly for having my card get declined . Half hour later ,I was able to sort things out with my bank and long story short ,I was able to pull out money on my atm ,on a cold rainy day,I was welcomed,made felt safe and at ease and I even signed up for rewards thanks to Stevie showing me the amount of money I will be saving! Add my negative experiences at this business to the long list of complaints and low star reviews here. To be frank, it takes a lot of effort (or lack thereof) and/or repeated disappointments at an establishment to make me resort to a 1 star review (I've only ever written 5 prior to this, out of 600+). I have mentioned before as a "tip" that the pumps have been replaced--I suspected that this may have been due to numerous reports of skimmed credit cards from someone I know at a local bank, and someone close to me has been a victim of card fraud here. I do not frequent this station enough to be considered a regular, but the proximity to the Murrieta Hot Springs I-215/I-15 split makes it a convenient location so I've unfortunately stopped here a few times. After filling up one evening, I was checking my phone for a moment before leaving. An employee changing bin liners approached my vehicle and told me I couldn't stay parked at the pump even after I explained I had just purchased gas and was looking at messages before driving. But apparently it's unacceptable to practice safety by avoiding to use my phone on the road. For the record, no one was in line waiting to use the pump; there were about 10 other open pumps. Another time, and this was the final straw for me, I was getting gas around 11:45pm. All of the pumps shut off seconds into my fill and whoever was on shift locked the doors to the store. I assumed this person went on break, but really? Could you be a little considerate and check that no one's outside already using the pump before you perform an unannounced shutoff and leave me there to wait? I waited. And waited. And waited. I stood in front of the shop's doors hoping someone would notice me because I could see movement inside. I couldn't leave because I even tried to cancel the transaction but the system was unresponsive and I needed a receipt before leaving. The station is 24 hours, therefore even if the store is locked, in theory one should be able to gas up at the pump. By the time the pumps came back on, it was around 12:10am (the doors were still locked). I called the only number on the front (an 858 number...the area code here is 951) during this whole debacle and left messages for management twice, with my number. No one has called me back for this unprofessional, unacceptable incident. Tldr; this is NOT a proper "service station" because service is either subpar or completely absent. There are a handful of other service stations within a 2-3 mile radius, some of them Shell as well, and their rates are consistently cheaper than what you would pay at this one. Drive a bit more and AVOID this mess of a business. read more

Went there two days ago and three pumps would not accept my card. They charge $.20 more for using a card so you would think they would keep them working. When I told the attendant he said you must be out of money, which I was not. Drove down the street to Chevron and my card works. Went back tonight and the same thing. Heavy set man with dark complexion and beard was confrontational with every customer that walked in. Customers were trying to figure out where the staff was and he was out smoking a cigarette. He was obviously irritated because the customers asked for help. A customer asked a question and he completely ignored them, the man definitely seemed off. Located off the 215 freeway and Murrieta Hot Springs. There's a whole bunch of pumps available and a large convenience store. It's not the nicest location overall, but it does the job. If you pay with cash, then you can save yourself around 10-20 cents per gallon. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would i was treated awfully by employee (Lenni) right when I walked in she gave me a Death Stare and kept it up I asked her what the problem was and she said it's weird that I come in here all the time at night? I work during the day and run at night this gas station was where I'd grab a water and protein bar before I would head out, I live just a quarter mile away and will never give them my business again or will my neighborly friends or anyone in my house (all military guys) this lady was a real bitch and should be fired. This Shell location is fantastic, right off the 215 on Murrieta Hot Springs. Pay in cash and receive more gas! I believe it's a 30-40 cent difference. The market is always well maintained as far as I can see.. As far as the restrooms.. They could use a nice cleanup, but hey it's a freakin' gas station! This is the best location for cheap but good quality fuel in the area for sure. read more

I walked in to pay for my gas with one of the cashiers named Ruben & I was blown away from his rude behavior. I hope he was being sarcastic because he was getting outta hand. They have some decent gas prices at this location for the most part, and as busy as it gets, you can almost always find an open pump. It is a bit of a hike to the store from the pumps, and there are downed pumps quite often. Problems with them taking your card is a frequent occurrence. It is also a pain to get back out of this location. It takes about five minutes to get back out onto the main road. Final Opinion - You may save a buck or two on a fill up, but be prepared to spend a little extra time to get where you are going. read more

When three of my friends and I entered the store we were greeted with dirty looks. By the two ladies working tonight. Not only were we treated like thief's but they followed us asked us multiple times if we were ready (once when we were choosing our drinks). Not a review of my favorite gas station but wanted to WARN customers of CC skimming devices or "blue snarfing" installed on their pumps. There is no doubt that on Jan 19th, pump# 2 was compromised and not sure how many more were victimized by these Suckers. 10 days later, my CC info was unlawfully used at the gas pump 12 miles away. They picked a point of sale that has no surveillance camera to evade being captured. I'm sure they'll get caught, it's just a matter of time. Otherwise "Karma" will get them and their love ones. The two ladies that worked tonight were incredibly rude to three of my friends. I came here to get gas and their price was seemed really good, I went in and tried to use my debit card and the person said that the amount outside was cash price (there was no indicator of that) so I was like whatever I'll use my card...the debit card price is 50 cents more! I was told that the cash price is way cheaper! I was flabbergasted!
