I've been coming to this gas station for years. Recently, I've had to repeatedly air up my tires more frequently. The lady pictured, Nancy, refused to let me fill my air and said it was for paying customers only. She said that AIR, that we breathe, is for paying customers... when I PAID for gum, and returned it, she refused to let me return it until I mentioned calling the police. She had an unnecessary attitude, and I felt like as if I was targeted for whatever her motives are. If you are the manager reading this, please advise Nancy on how to properly handle store policy or one day she is going to cause you a major lawsuit. read more

I have two gripes and one semi-praise. Gripe #1: Your prices. You have me cornered and you can probably recite my credit card number by heart. As I watch the numbers turn on the screen I quickly count the number of drinks I could have enjoyed and the grateful businesses I could have been supporting while drinking them. It's as if I take you on a $70 date every week and then you just leave me with the pump in my hand. Gripe #2: The crowd and chaos. C'mon now, four entrances with no arrows to control the traffic. You'll find a giant pick-up truck facing one way while a little old lady waits in her Cutlass coming from the opposite direction. It's one big game of musical chairs with thousands of pounds of steel. Semi-praise: Location, location, location. I can fill up and jump right onto the 94 or the 5, but that's also why they can call their shots when it comes to pricing. read more

I paid $70 for gas on my debit card on December 19, 2024, gas tank only took $67.35 and never got refunded for the difference. Brought it up to manager who was rude, who stated I would be reimbursed the difference on my card. Here it is January 23, 2025, and I still do not see the refund. Apparently, they are keeping the change. I thought it was a good gas station up until this happened. I rate it a one out of five. read more

I'm not big on rating gas stations, but the prices here are among the lowest in the area. Plus, using a Kroger/Ralph's card get you between $.10-.20 discount!!! Staff inside was helpful as I couldn't scan my phone, and she input the number so I'd get the discount. Paper receipt came out (unlike other gas stations), so I'm good here. read more

I live in east village downtown and this shell gas station is my go-to station for cheap shell gas. I've driven by a lot of shell stations in the city and this here is one of the cheapest shell out there. This place can get busy, but the lot isn't too small, you can still maneuver around. This review is for the price and lot, I don't go inside to the food mart. read more

I used to come here often for the Food Mart and to get gas. They had friendly personal and the store was relatively clean. Unfortunately during the last couple of months, there is no A/C in here for most of the time and all those drink coolers are producing so much heat that even the chewing gum that I bought almost started to melt. They don't seem to stock very well, especially on Tuesdays they often have empty shelves of water bottles for example. The credit card terminal in the store is also at the end of its life. The only reason why I've been here so many times is because I live nearby; this place is on the way; convenience. Someone was murdered there not too long ago. My mom does her daily jogs and this place is in between Point A and Point B. She told me that cops were everywhere and the coroner's van was there. Scary! Actual review time: Since this gas station is near the I-5 and the I-94, gas is more expensive here compared to other gas stations. So, unless you're about to lose at gas tank rodeo and are running on fumes, I'd suggest you go to another gas station and save yourself some monies. read more

This the worst of all gas stations. The employees are poorly trained. The Shell reward program is foreign concept to them, its not promote, don't understand how it works. All the pumps are trashed, buttons don't work. This place should be sold to Chevron! read more

I only come here because of the gas, obviously. I've never actually been inside the store. This location has one of the cheapest prices for a Shell. Since I only fuel at Shell I got their Saver Card and get an additional 4cents per gallon discount. I always come here since its on my way to work and conveniently off the Highway 5 & 94 junction. read more
