Been going to this salon for 10 years for a montly pedicure (ok sometimes it is every 2 months) . Usually when I come in get greeted with a warm hello and haven't seen you in awhile. Today I felt like I had never been there before. Same front desk guy, some of the same nail tech but a lot of new faces. Also absolutely do not like the new facial heat thing they used while messaging my legs. It is for face not for legs! Got extremely hot and had to ask to turn it off. Was a bit of a commotion while it was being turned with them all talking in their language. In fact first time I had heard so much talking in their language... very rude. Who knows if they were talking bad about me or someone else. Very disappointed today. Going to have think hard if I will return or if it is time to find a new place for my monthly pedicure. read more

Salon is always very clean, attentive, calming and consistent with great work, no matter who you go to. I have been going here for over 6 years since I had my youngest daughter. I Will say this for any negative reviews I've read on here it's sad. I've been to many and I mean many nail places and I stopped going for lots of reasons. But here this is the place to go. My nails seldom break if they do clearly I was dumb and it was my fault. My nails keep their shine dont go dulce. I get compliments asking where I go to get my nails done. I drive out of my way because they are the best! The quality of their work is the best in the business. They all work so hard and always do their best. If something doesn't come out right. Just tell them and they will do their very best to fix it. They never get mad or annoyed that Im asking for a change. Nothing is perfect but this place is pretty darn close to it. They have tons and tons of different styles, gels, colors etc to choose from. I always think I know what I want and then boom they have a new design with gorgeous choices. If you see a pic online they might not have that exact product to do it but they try or offer to show you something comparable. Its not possible for them to carry everything. The prices are reasonable especially with the quality, knowledge and customer service. I truly dont mind spending $$$ when I know I am not getting a bad service. I always bring my daughters who they are so patient with and treat them like they are theirs! The place is always super clean and dont have a million flies like a lot of places do. I usually call ahead and see when a good time to come is and they always fit me in. They dont rush through and do a slop job they are pretty quick and like I said im super happy with the results. The place is newly painted, remodeled and beautiful inside. All the nail techs are wonderful and Vy and Kalvin are super sweet and I am thankful for them. They are always very busy which is a good sign. My husband and I have been going here for years. Staff is super friendly. They have a rewards program. Sometimes parking can be a challenge but mot that often. Always get great pedicures! They offer sparking wine and always give you a little snack which is great in case you forget to eat. read more

Im glad I came to assist my grandmother to do a manicure/pedicure. My grandmother does her nails every month, so she knows what she likes and wants. This was our first time here for convenience. Big mistake. So like I said, my grandma knew she wanted a solid color and no designs. Very basic. We were given a laminated paper with options, and she choose $25 for hands $32 for the feet. The first 2 mins of pulling a seat to us to begin, she dropped the metal tool she had in her hand, on the floor! She picked it up and used it! She said it was fine. Everything felt so rushed. Last place my grandmother went they took their time with her, spent 45-1hr on the same services that we got here. This place was done with all that and the 4 min massage that comes with the pedicure, in less than 30 mins. When it was time to pay, the lady said "$65." Where the heck she get that math! Whatever thats her tip included! Not coming back, no shame! I know we are different ethnicities but have the same respect the way you do for your own elders. Like I see how they treat one another in there kindly and helpful to another but oh they were ready to take advantage of my grandmother like thats ok! What are these peoples problem!!? The lady did some of the ugliest acrylic nails I've ever seen! Nail color looks awful and she got upset when I asked her to change it. All they do is trash talk clients in Vietnamese. They will charge you to fix their mistake, acrylic is not smooth and bubble show under. First time there. Straight manicure with color, no gel or fancy things. They didn't sterilize their equipment- should have been my first clue that it could be a poor experience. Then, when they cut my nails, they were crooked. After he had painted them, I asked if he could fix 2 nails (the color had bled into the cuticle so wanted the edges cleaned up a bit and the other I had accidentally touched the fan as they were drying so there was a small nick). The first one looked exactly the same as before so I decided not to say anything- figured if they couldn't get it right first time, would just make them mad if I asked again. One the second one, the color "slid" down and bubbled. He said it was because I was too close to the fan. So he redid it again. I was under the fan for 15m but he kept saying to be really careful afterwards. Well, within a few seconds of leaving, (and I think I put my purse over my shoulder?) 2 nails got nicked. I got to my car and carefully put on my seatbelt. And my middle finger nail polish had again, slid off the side. So...I didn't go back and have them fix it. Went to nob hill and got some nail polish remover. Won't go back. Ugh read more

There was a bit of confusion with pricing which was kind of frustrating. The board says one price and then they explained that was not correct, so I asked about nail designs and was quoted a price. Later, as I switched from a pedicure artist to manicure artist, the price changed for the third time. They also didn't understand I wanted nail art on my toes and then put the top coat on and it was too late they said. If you go here, I Suggest to be very clear with what you want beforehand and understand the prices. It was just okay and I think I could have done better. Suggest to go elsewhere. Changing to two stars since 4 staff argued with me about why I didn't give them more stars on Yelp. Very unprofessional. I even explained it was my birthday and they still continued to argue with me. They have a sign that says $10 off for Yelp reviews but then when they saw my rating they said it was only for 5 star reviews. You shouldn't be able to pay for reviews. read more

My sister and I have been going to VY-Vy Nails for years. My favorites for my pedicures are Connie and Lynn. Choose Lynn if you like your massages really deep lol she is strong. Connie for gel manicures. She is the sweetest! If I have my nails done, Danny is great! He's gentle with the tools, so my cuticles don't bleed. He listens and is very nice. Lien/Lynn is the one!!! She fixed my ugly crooked shape from another nail tech from my old place. My nails is never smoother. My cuticles are difficult to work with. I bleed every time I get my nail done but Lien was so careful that I have no typical nails sore after this set. I can tell right the way she is different. She was so details, careful and her massage is the best. I'm not picky but after coming to her I'm definitely cannot come to any others anymore!! I usually love going here but noticed the past few times a lack of attention to detail and not being asked what i want for shape/length and instead just assuming and being annoyed when I want a different style. The last visit really made me change my view when I got my nails done and ended up with 3 infected fingers . I don't think the tools being used are clean otherwise this would not happen! Also my cuticles were cut dry while the skin was tough and it made them bleed and scab over. Don't recommend going here anymore unfortunately. read more

I'll start off with the positives before I go into my experience with my final nails. Their customer service is excellent, they're super friendly and nice. The environment of the salon is nice and cute. However, in the midst of getting my nails done I noticed that she had never asked me if I thought the shape was okay, the colors, the length, no questions. I showed her a picture of how I wanted them and then that was it. Once my nails were done I expected a little more in the detailed work, especially if I'm spending $75 on a full set. The details were wonky and my cuticles were bleeding at the end of my visit, even after washing my hands. I used to like going here for pedicures a lot! I used to get my nails done w anybody as well but recently a gentleman did my new set. I asked for w long square shape (tapered) and I noticed my nails were looking round. I asked him about it he says he was supposed to use a different tip but it's too late to remove ? So I left super upset and the owner said I could go back and fix them no extra charge. He made me an appointment to go back on a Monday after work. I went and everyone seemed confused they even asked me to come back another day ?? I said no I need to get this fixed. I got there at 5:30 and left at 8 and my nails were actually worse and the tech kept yelling at me saying I asked for the wrong set they took no accountability at all just blamed me for it and also let me know it costs $90 for that shape I told her I'm not paying for their mistakes. And the nails are so thick and crooked !! I didn't even ask for w French because I knew it would be crooked again. I tried to file them down at home to fix but there's no saving these They lost a customer which sucks because I really liked it here before smh read more

I take my little girl here all the time for mommy and me time. She loves getting pampered by the ladies at the shop. They're so good to her and she definitely feels like a princess when she leaves.
