The reviews are correct. This business is terrible. I had to call back at least 5 times in 1 days…read morebecause of bad connection or either the employees just hung up. I got an email saying "would you like a "free tablet " There's that word "free". I should have read the reviews on Yelp first, dog it!(and that's not the word I really want to use.) Well, I was trying to cancel it all the same day but because of the disconnecting I was not able to. Then I finally got a rep(?) that I didn't loose connection with (that's why I said that they hung up, I guess because I used the word,"cancel ") told me the cancellation department was closed. All that time trying to cancel and mind you I had no paid the "$11.00 dollar fee" nor had I completed signing up according to the recording and they had already removed my ACP connection (application transfer) to Excess Telecom. I finally got to speak with the cancellation department and they said that it would take at least 2-4 hours to transfer it back. I emailed ACP and they still showed me transfered to Excess Telecom. So now I have to call: Sorry ass, Excess telecom back. Why should I do business with a company that keeps getting disconnected?? They better hurry up and fix it!! Correction: not paid not no pay. I couldn't back up and correct it. Have a great day.

We've…read moretried two satellite dish companies but both had metered service that never lasted an entire month for us before they would start throttling us back. I work remotely most of the time and can burn up a lot of megabytes in a short period of time so these were not a great option for me. Seiontec is not metered and for us out in the woods they use line of sight radio communication. It tends to stay close to the download and upload speeds that we pay for, at least enough for us to work and the communication is up most of the time. But we have had our issues too. This week a thunderstorm knocked out our service and it was four days before anyone could get to us. Two techs, Jake and Jason showed up to troubleshoot. After a couple of hours, they had to take care of another call before they finished getting us resolved but Jake promised to return. Later in the day and true to his word, and after 6pm Jake came back with two other techs to finish the work. Within an hour or so the connection was once again working and someone in the office will fine tune the radio unit to ensure the highest throughput. The three techs left to take care of another call even though it was approaching 8pm. With line-of-site, every installation is different than nearly any other and the issues that may be encountered can be diverse as well. If you call tech support someone will try to troubleshoot an issue from the office but this can be difficult since they can't see or touch the equipment other than running monitoring software and then need to make a determination for the best approach to get things up and running again. Not an easy job. All of the technicians that have come out have all been very conscientious and committed to providing good service but there are times where there's not enough of them to go round and some issues require a lot of time to resolve or can be quite complex. That's the nature of telecommunications. For my situation, Seiontec Systems has been the best solution for our Internet needs. Not perfect but a lot better than anything else that we have in our area. I will never go back to metered service again or satellite dishes that are a lot more prone to failure than what we have with Seiontec. I'm sorry to see so may negative reviews but I am happy with what I have and grateful to have so many quality techs to provide service when we need it. The company came out after putting the satellite on my roof and tried to tell me they needed to place it in my tree, after I told them no it was not going in my tree, they continued to attempt to go up my tree to place the satellite. I had to again tell them no before they got angry, got an attitude with me and left. Then, my entire community got email on 07/06/26 stating they were CLOSING on 07/06/26. Stated you would not be able to reach them by phone and can reply to the email and they would get back with you when they can. I emailed and have heard NOTHING. This company doesn't care about it's customers and has zero accountability. I guess it's a good thing they closed.

I typically do not leave reviews, but the interaction I encountered was disappointing enough to mention. The service representative, Amanda, came across as unprofessional, unfriendly, and unwilling to assist. Customer service should reflect professionalism, attentiveness, and respect, and unfortunately that was not my experience during this visit. Based on this interaction, I would rate the experience very poorly and hope management addresses the level of customer service being provided to customers.
