The store was bright, friendly, had kids toys out, and smelled wonderful. I was immediately impressed. The man welcomed me right away, although he was helping someone else. He looked at my phone and gave me instant hope that he would be able to fix it. He suggested it was the battery, and that I leave it and he'll call me with options and diagnosis. He also informed me of the $10 diagnosis charge which i thought was very fair. He messaged my Bfs number in about an hour, said it wasn't the battery it was the screen and gave me two options, a more reasonable priced one and a more expense one. Appreciated the options. When I came back to pick the phone up, the store was pretty busy, but he recognized me right away and had my phone ready to go. When you suddenly lose access to your cell phone, you're in a very vulnerable state and I'm very thankful their stores like this you can walk into and find somebody that can help you. What prompted me to write this review, though, was my recent laptop's motherboard crash. What I liked about the service I got was that the technician explained several different options to me, presenting the pros and cons of each, instead of just telling me what I should do. Competent, congenial, no muss, no fuss service at reasonable prices. They would get 5 stars but every once in a while they forget to call me back so I have to keep calling them.

After picking it up they said it was the power supply cord and it just needed to be replaced. Ok, simple enough. And they changed me $50 to diagnose the problem. I was surprised at the time they were going to charge me $50 to tell me I needed a new power cord. I guess that was my fault for not understanding how the pricing worked. Anyway I paid and left and still had a laptop that wouldn't fully charge but at least I new what the problem was. I then purchased a new factory power supply which was around $80 from Dell. My laptop still doesn't charge fully so the power supply was not the problem and I am now out $130 because of incorrect information.

I had a few issues with my computer not being able to turn on, among other problems. Mike was phenomenal in his communications, and his prices are top notch. He's honest, and you can tell he truly cares about his clients. I've never gone to a computer repair shop before Mike's, but while I'm in Lynchburg, I wouldn't go elsewhere.
