They do not serve breakfast and they open at 11am for lunch. Yelp needs to update this information. Other than that great local restaurant in Shepherd.

Well I am going against the grain with a 3 Star rating (vs the overwhelming 4 avg). So why? Pretty much inconsistent customer service. Been here 3 times in last week as I am from way out of town so this is based on my experiences. Review: Food -- good full menu step up from bar food. For the area it is a broad selection of specials, main dishes, Mexican and apps. Prices about avg for area. Environment- nice local atmosphere, buzz on a Friday night as they are a busy spot. Service - had good table service From friendly waitress. Bar - totally different experience. One time it was always waving at bar tender to get her attention. Next time, weird set up where bartender waited on couple sitting next to me very attentive - but avoided me like the plague, assuming I was in the other gal bartenders "section". Weird for her to not ask when my beer was empty etc. The other bartender Samantha who must of had my chair was in definite "wave down" mode. For my first beer, my menu, second beer etc. If the managers read this they may want to instruct your staff to separate bar sections by side of bar vs stool - more efficient for wait staff and more customer service for us and also coach the bar staff that everyone is a customer, even if they are not sitting in the correct stool at the bar!!

This place was fantastic! We were just passing through the area and we happened to stumble upon it. It could be easy to miss. It reminded me of a place back where I live in Rhode Island that serves similar food in a small-town type of atmosphere. Food was great, our waitress was extremely friendly and pleasant. Prices were very reasonable.

I've been there twice now…read more First night (Saturday) there was very loud, derogatory rap music playing. Families with kids eat there, they should not have to hear stuff like that. It was very hard to communicate with the server due to the noise. The actual menu is a lot smaller then what is shown on their website. Especially fish options. I had grouper tenders which were small and mostly breading. Not worth it. Fries were excellent. Tartar sauce appeared to be pure mayo, no sign of relish or lemon at all. Ketchup, mustard, and salt were the only condiments on the table, not sure if anything else was available, like cider vinegar or even pepper. It's a pub, you would think all that stuff to be automatic. Second night (9 pm Sunday) I tried to go elsewhere because of my previous night's experience, but not many other options. Most of Alma was already closed. Tonight there was no music playing, so I was able to have a conversation. I had the olive burger with steak fries, my son had boneless wings with Thai sauce and waffle fries. Everything was very good, and a good value for the money. I guess I need a third night to be a tie-breaker.

Basically took my drink to the outdoor patio (which was nice) and ended the night. I had intended to try pasta Alla Norcina which I noticed last visit but the told me it's on the winter menu (I think that they were on the Spring menu). I spoke with the manager and he said to come back in two weeks and they will switch to the summer menu and that it contains his favorite pasta dish. We started talking about the Pasta Alla Norcinia and I told him my relatives are from Norcia Umbria and that I've made it several times. I told him I use Italian sausage and the manager said that the chef uses actual wild boar sausage. He said the chef has amazing connections for ingredients like this. They also have a full time pastry chef on staff and all their deserts are home made. I was informed that the chocolate ganache cake has had the longest run on the menu and never seems to come off so I tried that. It was delicious There are several items on the menu that I have to try. I took a few pictures of the Spring menu and I've added them below. The gulf shrimp is on my radar and I need to try the venison burger. I just need to get past the gyro lamb burger with tzatziki. It's just so good.

They were also doing a deal on their mocktails for dry January, which I thought was cool. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for meat-eaters--I wouldn't come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Entrees get a bit pricey (their steak frites is $49), but sandwiches are around $15-$18 and come with fries. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese instead of fries. My friend got the chicken and chorizo nachos and we decided to split them half and half. Our food came out quickly and looked really good! The wrap was tasty but I couldn't really taste the pistachio pesto. The mac and cheese was incredible--super cheesy, perfectly cooked cavatappi noodles, and very flavorful. I'm really glad I upgraded to that and would even consider getting the full entree size in the future. The nachos were pretty loaded, and a generous portion. I liked all the toppings but didn't really taste much chorizo. These would be a good starter for a group. Overall a very good experience and I would come back.

The staff was very friendly and on top of things. Our waitress was warm and welcoming with just enough attentiveness without being overly intrusive. She was also accommodating to my beverage choice dilemma. Thank you! The food was all delicious. We split the Ruben with onion rings ($3 up charge). The Ruben might be one of the best we remember. The flavor was great, it was not greasy or soggy from too much toppings. The onion rings were also very crispy without being burnt. The coating was thin and fully covered the onion. We also shared the Ruben egg rolls and they were delicious as well. The only thing is they were two egg rolls cut into 6 pieces, which seemed a bit pricey. If you want a Ruben, you might just want to do the sandwich. The beverages were reasonably priced with a good variety to choose from. The inside was clean and they have plenty of seating. They have some unique seating arrangements and a small game area. They also appear to have an outdoor area, which was only used for the patrons who smoked as it was too cold to sit outside. We are definitely going to be going back. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Like what! I'll start by two weeks ago we ordered two plain cheeseburgers, one fry and it came to $30!!!! I was appalled. I was charged .75 each box for take out as well! Today we needed lunch as we had a really long night and just didn't want to bother, so we decided to go to lake side bar and grill try it again, we each had two bloody Mary's , he ordered the angry burger with fry's and I got the cod dinner to go. Waitress stated rolls did not come with the dinner so I asked could I please get two added I will pay for them she stated yes. Clearly stated yes! While we waited for our food we ordered drinks . The first bloody mayrs were amazing , had the olive , 2 pickle slices a lime and cucumber. Three tables were served in the time we waited for our food and two came in after us! So we ordered another drink, this time no veggies in it just refilled plain. Ok no biggie. Food came we got our bill and it was 67. And some change!!!! Like WTF! So we looked at the receipt we were charged both drinks PLUS each veggie ! Like who does that! And we didn't even get any veggies in our second drinks!!!!! We left I looked at our food and my rolls were missing and we had barely any fry's. I went back asked and she said no we don't even have rolls, I stated mam you clearly told me I could order them separate! I said as well we got barely any fry's. She acted like it was an inconvenience to her! Then while I waited she continued to talk about my complaint to I am assuming her husband. So far after just moving here and being a big food critic for upscale companies I would think a small town and they would treat people not only better , but make sure they are taken care of. Needless to say the fry's we got are way under cooked , burger is way burnt , and my fish is as well. A total waste of $70! We should have just went to Arby's! I will say we have had excellent customer service with only 1 waitress there she is the shorter dark haired lady. She has always been kind. But after two bad experiences I would not recommend this place for food or drinks.
