Since her departure, she's been at several other facilities, and none have compared to the compassionate care and support she received at Sunrise. The Sunrise staff truly excel at ensuring the well-being of their residents. They go above and beyond to meet the community's needs. The facility is well maintained, vibrant (even amidst challenging Covid conditions where they had to think creatively to offer group activities), and the management staff is active, visible, and engaged in the day-to-day community operations. The Director is an excellent communicator, she is fair, and willing to think "outside the box" to find solutions. I highly recommend this place for your loved one!

After close to two years of frustration, numerous meetings and not seeing any changes I met with Sunrise. I decided to move my mom to sunrise even though we were in the middle of COVID. If was the best thing I ever did. Not just according to me but also according to my mom. Sunrise has it dialed in and all the things that used to frustrate me are gone. The CNA,s have spent time getting to know her. My mom says she feels like they really take an interest in getting to know her. My advise to anyone who is looking for assisted living in the area, don't be fooled by the shiny penny. It is the concern and care for the family member that is most important. Thank you Sunrise for giving me peace of mind.

The first incident occurred during my initial interview several years ago. At the time, I had over ten years of caregiving and CNA-related experience, including private home health care and facility-based care for Assisted Living (AL) and Alzheimer's (ALZ) clients. During my scheduled interview, the process was repeatedly interrupted to accommodate walk-in applicants. I was left sitting alone for approximately fifteen minutes and was never given the courtesy of a complete, uninterrupted interview. It left a very unprofessional impression. Two years later, I decided to give the company another chance. By then, I was working full-time as a CNA, preparing to apply to nursing school, and had expanded my experience to include skilled nursing, post-acute care, and rehabilitation settings. I also hold a BLS certification and have continued to build my credentials and professional accomplishments. After speaking with LisaMarie, I was told I would be entered into the system and scheduled for an interview. I successfully scheduled a Zoom interview, but when my work schedule changed, I requested to move the interview one day earlier. Instead of simply rescheduling, the interview was canceled entirely, and I never received a replacement interview link. When I called for assistance, another representative informed me that I was being removed from consideration altogether. Despite my extensive work history, qualifications, certifications, and experience, I was dismissed from the hiring process. I was seeking only part-time or PRN work, yet I was questioned extensively about my full work schedule even though I had already been approved for an interview. The decision to remove me from consideration seemed arbitrary and unnecessary. In my opinion, this reflects poor communication, unprofessional hiring practices, and a lack of respect for applicants' time and qualifications. Companies should be transparent and respectful with individuals seeking employment opportunities. Based on my experiences, I would strongly encourage prospective applicants to carefully consider whether they want to invest their time pursuing employment with this organization.

My experience wasn't good, Removed my wife after 1 week…read more They advised me to let her adjust for at least 1 more week before deciding on pulling her out. I visited on day 7 with an open mind. I decided that if there was good evidence she was happy and engaging more, I could be willing to wait another week and see how it goes. See if she adjusts more. Unfortunately, I noticed her wedding ring was gone along with some necklaces she permanently wears that have sentimental value. Her debit card and credit card (both were already deactivated prior to intake but kept in her wallet to make her feel calm) were also missing from the slots in her wallet. Also, several other low value items like bed sheet set and personal care. This makes me think the missing ring and necklaces aren't just lost. They were likely stolen. The wallet has card slots so, someone went in the wallet and pulled the 2 cards out (again, deactivated cards but, looks like someone took them to try and use them). They told me not to bring valuable items and I didn't bring any cash or other jewelry but I didn't expect for a wedding ring that has never left her finger and necklaces she never removes, even during showers to be stolen. Let alone things from her purse. Lastly, the place has not even offered to make good on the wedding ring value They billed me for a second month ( per their policy) even though she was only there for 7 days . I di file a police report. So, I;d think twice before letting a loved on in this facility.
