He has the most joyful, sincere personality and it's obvious he truly cares about the members. Every time I see him, his energy instantly makes the day better. It's rare to find that kind of genuine positivity. This location truly feels like a second home. It's ALWAYS incredibly clean, they have every piece of equipment you could possibly need, and there are so many classes to choose from. The smoothies at the café are my favorite. I've said this before, Life Time really feels like more than just a gym to me. I also visit the Life Time Irvine location and love how big it is, the jacuzzi and beach club atmosphere there are amazing. But there's just something special about the La Jolla location. It feels welcoming, comfortable, and like a true community. Highly recommend!

Was a bit disappointed at the size of facilities and attentiveness of staff as it just doesn't compare to the mega infrastructure of the otay ranch one that has pools, saunas, jacuzzis, cold plunge, pickleball, etc. on top of that they want to charge extra at this location and give everyone a hard time about it- I know it's policy but unless this is your primary lifetime location and/or it's much more convenient, I'd just go to the other spot

There are gym/sweat towels and showers available on-site with bath towels as well. There is only one shower in the men's bathroom. I assume the same is true for the women's bathroom. There's also a serious water machine on site that spits out really cold water. Free 2 hour street parking or paid private lot parking. I am usually lucky enough to get a spot out front. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because they canceled class once and made no attempt to contact me or other members ahead of time. There was just a paper sign on the door saying class had been canceled, without any explanation. Other than that,

I was first introduced when my son was visiting from DC and brought me to a few classes. After he left, I had a choice--go back to doing nothing or keep showing up. I decided to stick with it, and I'm really glad I did. The structure of the workouts makes it easy to stay consistent, and the energy in the room is incredible. What really stands out, though, is the support from the coaches. They make you feel comfortable, push you when you need it, and genuinely want to see you succeed. A big thank you to Gemma, Lorenzo, and Sarah for all the encouragement and support. You've made this a great experience.

After having enough, I called the place nearest to me I could walk to. I was ultimately introduced to and booked with an exceptional trainer, Katie Kurtz. So glad I connected with her. Katie is so knowledgeable, inspirational and genuine. She pays mind to injuries or "bad days" and pivots workouts on the fly to avoid further injury/issues when needed. She does not just keep going- she checks in regularly throughout our hour sessions to see if she needs to rearrange the next step if needed. She starts the workouts always asking if there are any issues she should be aware of, and if you answer honestly, she goes from there to re-craft the session. She is strong, tough, fierce, attentive, and skillful. Really hard and great workouts- tuned for me! I was surrounded by the other staff at BRF often- good vibes, great personalities, and lots of hard workouts there. Very happy to have called BRF and been set up with Katie in my time of fitness need!

As result, I always leave exhausted and fulfilled regardless of how in shape I am. After spending just a few weeks working out at BRF, my college body has ditched its beer gut, and is ready to take on the beach. In addition, I have seen significant improvements in my both fitness and muscle definition. If you have the means to hire a personal trainer, I highly recommend doing so. Ethan does a great job of tailoring workouts to push his clients to their max. Another suggestion: if you order personal workouts, bring a friend. Nothing gets the competitive juices flowing like watching a friend do more push ups than you!
