Sheppard Hyundai Eugene did this to my car
    Terry A.

This is related to the service department only. This review is accurate and states the facts. We purchased two new Hyundai cars (Santa Fe and Kona), October of 2021 from Kirkland Hyundai. Around 6K miles on the Santa Fe I called Sheppard Hyundai for service advise. The service department could not tell me at what mileage I should bring in my Santa Fe for its first scheduled maintenance. But we did bring it in for its first service right around 6K miles. I waited all day for a phone call, letting me know the car was ready. Finally I called and was told "Oh yeah, its ready". I picked up the car, drove home and then noticed the blemish that was on the drivers side front rim, was still there. Which indicated the tires had not been rotated. This is part of the regular maintenance. I complained and indicated in no uncertain terms that a customer trusts the service department services the vehicle correctly. They never offered to rotate the tires. A few months later my wife takes her Kona in for its first service. Guess what, Sheppard Hyundai service did not rotate the tires on her car either. Again I complained - no offer to rotate the tires. Around 10K miles on my Santa Fe, the front brakes started to vibrate under braking, which usually indicates an issue with the rotors. Not trusting Sheppard Service I went to Les Schwab. They looked at the front brakes and indicated that yes the front rotors need to be either replaced or resurfaced. Parts were not available via Les Schwab. I went to Sheppard, and after a bit of a run around, me calling to Hyundai to complain, Sheppard Service indicated the rotors would be replaced under the 12 month/12K mile warranty. Took my car in for the brake repair, only to be told the rotors would have to be ordered. Should be ready the next day (Friday). I receive a call from Sheppard Service on Friday, indicating the rotors had been replaced, BUT Sheppard Service had damaged the front passenger rim and destroyed the tire. A new tire had to be ordered. I asked what they were going to do about the damaged rim. Only then did they offer to bring in their "wheel guy" to repair the otherwise perfect rim. No offer for a rental car. So I'm without a car for 4 days. I pick up the car on Monday, new tire and an OK repair job on the rim. There is some runout where the repair was made. A slight depression. So the rim is not in the same conditions before it was damaged by Sheppard Service. The only good thing that came out of this repair, was that a TCU update was applied, and now the TCU/DCT shifts are smooth and not so jerky. I did call to Sheppard motor to indicate that the software update did the trick. What did they tell me, "hey can you give us a good review". REALLY? They damaged my car, applied a software update to the TCU, and they want KUDOS? And now to top it all off, there is a droning sound that comes from the front of the card at speed above 40MPH. Is it the new tire? Is it the new rotors. Is it because the pads were not replaced along with the new rotors. (I called to a few brake shops and they ALL indicated that yes, when you get new rotors you replace the pads - Never put used pads on a new rotor). I just don't understand how a service department can be so inept. Is it due to the fact that all warranty work, service is to be done at a Hyundai Service department, and they are the only one in town? I was scheduled to take my care in today to see where the droning sound is coming from, and what do you know........... Sheppard Service called and said they had to reschedule to next week. What a load of crap.

Kevin and Charles Delong made an otherwise tedious process quite pleasurable. Everyone was genuinely nice, professional, knowledgeable, and fast...I couldnt be happier with my 2020 Kona! Thanks, guys! I'd make the 2.5 drive from Coos Bay any time to buy from you guys!

Leasing from her went smoothly. We traded in our older vehicle and we got the exact car we wanted in the color we preferred and at the price that matched our budget. Flawless and terrific customer service. We highly recommend this company.

Every experience has been so much better than any of the other places around town. While they don't have the service department or the huge lot of vehicles, the process with them is pressure-free and friendly. Also, you don't spend a whole day at the dealership if you buy from them, they know what they're doing and don't waste time going back and forth between buyer and manager or whatever it is the larger places do to drag things along. They also won't push you to buy something you don't need. Every time we've been there, they've waited awhile before approaching us, letting us look at vehicles without feeling like you're going to be accosted by a stereotypical salesperson as soon as you park on the lot. Also, if you're looking for something really specific, they do offer to do the searching for you and will get you the car you're looking for, if you can't find it here right away. I recommend Oregon Roads all the time!

From the very first, Joe had our trust and never let us down. The truck was exactly as described, and it was the first time in 35 years we had ever even considered buying a vehicle without a test drive because of that trust. He made our long-distance purchase from the duty station in Seattle work with text, calls, Venmo for the deposit, and lightning fast response time, even with our three week delay that held the truck for picking up when military scheduling allowed. Joe followed through with every detail and made our son's first vehicle purchase a wholly positive one. Extraordinary and impeccable pride and professionalism in an industry where we thought it was impossible to find anything of the kind! We were so impressed, and recommend Autorama and especially Joe Baudichon without reservation.

After getting towed 70 miles back to Kendall Subaru, the problem was diagnosed (along with a thorough overview of some other, less critical issues) on Saturday. The tech stayed late, and came in early on Monday to get us back on the road. I rented one of Kendall's cars for use while ours was in the shop, so we got to enjoy Eugene's restaurants and nearby hiking trails. Dylan, the service writer, was clear and concise on the issue, accepted my deferral of the other issues, and kept me up to date on progress. Nice! Costs for the transmission repair came out precisely on estimate. The diagnostic cost was folded in to the overall charge. While wandering around the showroom, Matt came out, recognized that I had a car being serviced, and showed me a 2025 hybrid Forester - snazzy! Matt was patient, explained Kendall's sales process, and took me out on a test drive. Calm, professional, informative. If we were to contemplate a new car purchase, we'd seriously consider buying from Matt at Kendall, flying up, spending a nice weekend, and driving back.

Completely inoperable. Supposedly there was an "extensive inspection" on this truck, even though it broke down completely 8 days after I bought it, and it had to be trailed back to Kendall Ford of Eugene. While in the shop for nearly 4 months, numerous parts were replaced to include the high pressure fuel pump, the air filter, the air intake, and turbo flanges. But they never corrected the original issue and it had to be sent to multiple dealerships to even become functional again. 8 days after I bought it. Less than 2 years later, the same issue is still prevalent and worsening (electronic throttle control + DPF failure). I contacted the dealership to resolve this directly, and the only solution offered was to trade the vehicle in at a significantly reduced value (worth almost nothing, as it is once again, not functional) with no acknowledgment of the recurring issue despite numerous service records. I will never go back here for any reason. They value their dollar over you, and aren't shy about it. Even knowing I was a veteran coming off a serious car accident didn't stop them from selling me a vehicle that broke within 8 day of purchase. Do you really think they care more about you? My car only came with one key fob and they are over a hundred dollars each for a second one, repairs were not completed despite being told the car was ready for pick up, there was no communication during the inspection, there was misrepresentation of warranty costs & options by the sales associate, and so on. When Sales Manager Randy was made aware of my concerns, he took accountability and action to correct the issues to the best of his ability. If after reading the reviews you still decide to car shop here, make sure you connect with a sales person who has been on the job at Kia for a bit, has some knowledge of the products and inventory available, doesn't use their personal devices to store sales related identifying information, and doesn't outright lie to you. Make sure you ask questions & get answers to your satisfaction, read the paperwork thoroughly, if they promise to correct an issue on the car, make sure it's added to the "we owe" statement in your contract, and if something is not right, say something.
