Disaster Run! First night 1. Couldn't check in because of remodeling they had to move us rooms to the 10th floor and give us two beds instead of 1 2. Our toilet seat wasn't on the toilet they had to send someone to repair. Second night 1. Elevators weren't working had to go up and down 10 flights 2. Ice machine wasn't working leaked all over the floor 3. Key didn't work we were given a new set. Third night 1. Elevators weren't working again until late in day we had to use service elevator but there was a wedding so had to walk up to second floor to use. 2. We got soaked in downtown Baltimore ran up 10 flights of stairs for our key not to work again. 3. Husband had to run down 10 flights of stairs barefoot because shoes were soaked to get new key. 4. Our room didn't get serviced we left at 11 am this day. We had to use towels to dry ourselves and stuff and call for new towels. 5. Manager complaint to Michael who told us to use laundry room which also was offline and didn't work 6. Asked for preliminary bill sent to us but email services also not working We spoke to two managers Michael and Randall and as a female they completely dismissed me not even looking at me while I spoke. I had to send my husband to do the talking as he was the only one they would acknowledge...kind of. We were promised Marriott bonvoy points since they said there was no way anything would be refunded. The never arrived. The hotel is under renovation currently. Be sure to request a newly remodeled room versus one still unremodeled. We have a remodeled room. My sister staying on a different floor has an old room with rusted fixtures, non-working tv when they arrived etc. Our room is quite nice. The new wallpaper and decor very handsome. This is a good location for our purposes which was a wedding at the Church Redeemer and reception at country club of Maryland. We also found a nice coffee shop nearby, hiking at the Cromwell park, and Whole Foods store close by too. Their restaurant was okay for breakfast, but no specialty offered... we love fresh bakery bread and freshly made to order oatmeal read more

The staff was nice from the front desk gentleman to the maintenance guy walking the hall to the cleaners...to the staff managing/organizing the Marriott members room. Our stay was great. The room met our needs, the staff was always very helpful. Shoutouts: 1. The very tall gentleman that checked me in. He was very kind and thorough. 2. The waitress in the restaurant. She was doing the best she could given those around her. 3. Sharay (sp?)... the lady getting the Marriott members lounge together. She held herself together while getting the breakfast area set up. We waited over 45 minutes to park our car even after calling the hotel about this. These were people not staying at the hotel! After spending the money I would never ever stay here again and Marriott needs to fire that manager for not doing their job. Two stars only because our two prior visits were good. But this time was terrible. We checked in late one Thursday night having just arrived from the West Coast. The next morning, Friday, I'm woken up by the sounds of hammering above my head which quickly turned into electric saws running. Mind you with the time difference it felt like about 5:30 in the morning to me so it was after 8:00 but before 9:00 EDT. I called down to the front desk to find out what was going on and was greeted with "nobody told you there was construction going on above you?" They did apologize and offer free breakfast for our stay, which we had no need of. Then they confirmed there was no construction going on Saturday and Sunday and I knew we were leaving too early Monday for it to be an issue. So fine. We were up by then there was nothing to do. Then Saturday morning and you guessed it more sounds right above our head. I called down. Started the story over again and once again heard the phrase "nobody told you there was construction going on above you when you checked in?" NO. Nobody told me that. And they said it was perhaps just the structural engineers up there. Do Structural Engineers use electric saws? See attached video. Also why on Earth do you even have the floor open? Later I went down to talk to somebody at the front desk about it and was assured that the manager though he was out would reach out to me. We stayed there two more days nobody reached out to me. Honestly if I was somebody getting up at 6:30 in the morning to go to work this wouldn't bother me so yeah you should have mentioned it when we checked in and we could have told you that no we were here on vacation visiting our daughter and would not be getting up before 9:00 a.m. everyday. Joke's on us we were we've gotten up by Sounds of saws and hammering. Once again upon checkout and told them our story and once again was asked, "nobody told you upon check-in that there was construction above you?" So once again no, nobody told us when we checked in that there would be Construction right above our heads. I have attached a video from Friday AM (note: this is the same video I showed the front desk staff when they promised me that a manager would reach out). Enjoy. I can appreciate that it's getting it's much needed facelift. And I can appreciate that the two friendly people may have made a mistake the evening we arrived. But every person since then? Comfortable hotel located close to the mall and great restaurants in walking distance. The hotel rooms, and swimming pool are a little outdated. For sure you need a jacuzzi! I stayed here for a couple of weeks already and will be staying here many more for business purposes. I like it, parking is $14 a day, and the service is great. On the 12th floor is a lounge for breakfast or just to chill in the evening with finger food, but not everybody had access to this lounge. On Thursday's they have an event for guest called the Manager 'something' and they also serve finger food and drinks. I enjoyed my stay so far and I hope I will continue enjoying it. read more

Nice hotel across from the mall. Parking is 15$ and automatically charged on the hotel bill. There is a club level on #12 floor which was surprisingly open on Sunday ( normal Marriott clubs are not open on the weekend). Evening Hors d'oeuvres were hot wings/barbecue wings, a small salad and Boston cream pie. Breakfast was average scrambled eggs, bagels, or toast some fresh fruit and really greasy bacon/sausage. The room was nice. It was a corner suite with many windows and I was told at the front desk upon checking in that it was newly renovated however, if that was the case, they overlooked the bathroom because you basically had to sit on the toilet to shut the bathroom door it was so narrow. The towels were nice and plush and the bed was very comfortable. Air air-conditioning system was a little loud for me, however, it did help that the return vent and distribution vent was in the hallway attached to the front door of the room, therefore making it a little more quieter. Very good customer service at the front desk during check-in ! The evening gentlemen at the concierge lounge was very pleasant and helpful. The woman that was working the morning breakfast is probably not a morning person but I give her points because she asked someone who brought their dog into the concierge lounge to remove it since not everybody wants to sit and have breakfast with her barking dog!!! The staff members are all worthy of 5-star hotels; they always get things done quickly, kindly, and the right way. The hotel and restaurant renovations make the hotel very comfortable. Now the food really should be modernized and elevated a bit to come up to the level of the decor; menu items are often out of stock [last time it was the salmon, this time it was the avocado and no nonfat milk available]. There is no gluten-free pasta option, and there are extremely limited breakfast choices if you are gluten-free; no GF bread or muffins as most Hiltons have, no waffles or pancakes (not even the frozen kind, the only yogurt on the menu is already mixed in with gluten ingredients. This GF problem is endemic for Marriotts; these items could be frozen and served as needed. There's also a food and beverage dessert between about 2 and when the restaurant opens at 5; it feels like coffee, tea, soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks should always be available for purchase at a hotel. read more

The worst hospitality I've ever seen in 8 million miles of travel and over 6 years of my days in a Marriott! Before checking in (two lifetime Titanium members) we had a rental car problem at the front door. For the rest of my life I will never forget the cold (no concern for another human) attitude at the front desk. The only thing they cared about was whether they could check us in and make money!!!!! Recently stayed for a conference and while the staff attempted to accommodate our group several aspects of the hotel need some TLC. 1st floor bathrooms were funky and had bad odor despite cleaning staff being in there pretty much all day. Bathroom was also a bit dated. Breakfast buffet was better on the last day but basically your typical continental hotel breakfast (fake eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and bagels) Lunch options were fine nothing crazy - the steak was good and so was the chicken tortellini. On one occasion, the glass had lipstick stain and the final day a cockroach was randomly cruising across our table in the main dining room. 3 stars for Kiara only as she went out of her way to accommodate folks with dietary restrictions and personally delivered meals to them. Overall the actual hotel room was standard, bed was comfortable and spacious. You get 2 water bottles daily, bathroom was spacious with general features. I would have preferred more lighting overall in the room but it did the trick. I did order room service one night and although the ETA was 30 minutes, they delivered within 10 minutes. Again, the staff tries...the property in itself just needs a bit of a facelift. Probably wouldn't book this for a wedding but maybe if you just need a rest stop and want to be by the mall and have convenient parking. Try your luck! It may be better for you. read more

Jason, at the front desk, is the personification of good customer service! He greeted me promptly, explained everything thoroughly and even told me about what was available in the area around the hotel. Sheraton Baltimore North is very conveniently located in Towson. Right off the beltway, 15-20 minutes to 3 area hospitals. Walk across the street to the Towson Mall if you want standard American restaurants, across the intersection for Fresh Market (upscale grocery) or Papi's Tacos (local chain, yummy!). Safe parking, I think it's $12/d with hotel stay. Have stayed twice in last month, single night. 3* for dark hallways that feel like a tomb and make the place feel outdated. Rooms are pretty dark overall too. First stay, the room was apparently at least lightly used after last cleaning (indent on bed, counter not 100% clean in bathroom)--but it was late and I didn't want to deal with it. Second room was cleaner, had card for housekeeper who took pride in her work. Tea / coffee machine was in a corner where there were no available outlets, so I had to move it to use it. Nice size fridge in room. Two water bottles for use. Full-size bottles of toiletries to cut down on the inevitable hotel waste from single-size bottles, etc (yay! lets consider the Planet!). Products are nice quality -- and tend toward very masculine scent - smoky / oaky -- and could be a bit more neutral like lemon / verbena or something else. Breakfast in Club lounge is minimal and sufficient. Baked pan of oatmeal, cut melon / pineapple, eggs, bacon, toasts. Occasionally bananas. No takeout containers available. PS - there's a pool? Leticia at check-in was very helpful and welcoming. I have enjoyed my week here, although the walls are a bit thin. I can hear my neighbors through the dividing door in the room- can hear their full conversation and phone calls. I play music to drown it out. The pool has been very nice and I also appreciate the washer/dryers on Floor 3- can use credit/debit cards, so no need to hunt down quarters. Parking is extra, I believe $14 a night. read more

I have to say, as a frequent traveler, my stay at Sheraton Baltimore North is so far the WORST experience I've had at a stared hotel. I stayed at Sheraton for 7 days, so I have a lot to share. 1) Room smells!! My room smells like an old wet table cloth the entire time!!!! 2) Room service forgot to restock the toilet paper. I called and waited 50 mins and nothing came. Had to call the front desk again, and finally someone showed up to deliver the toilet paper. 3) Construction noise all day on Saturday. It's so loud as if they were drilling into your ears! I called the front desk, asked about the noise. She sounded very irritated and claimed that, you were told about this at check in. BUT NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS!!! and she said, well, they can't stop the construction. It's gonna last until 7 PM. Are you kidding me? It's ridiculous enough that you are doing major constructions on a Saturday afternoon and on top of it! What's with the attitude??! Is that what you call hospitality?!? Yes, this hotel IS located in a convenient location right off the beltway 15- 20 minutes to 3 area hospitals. And it IS located across the street to the Towson Mall if you want to shop or eat. However, this hotel is not what it seems to be. I have stayed at this hotel a handful of times and I am now realizing that I had no idea just how filthy this hotel really is until my last stay. It's a practice of mine to check the corners of the mattress when I travel as I use to travel often with my daughter who was a competitive dancer. I noticed that the mattress was stained when I checked this time. In fact both mattresses where stained. I went to the front desk to let them know and to ask for another room. Now you know I'm going to check those mattresses in the next room too and unfortunately both of those mattresses were stained as well. And on it went. By 11:30pm we had finally found a room that had 2 mattresses that did not have stained mattresses. You are probably wondering why I didn't just leave. This just happend to be during the wicked storm we just had and it was pouring rain and we were only staying one night. It will be our last night at this property unfortunately. I will say though, that the staff was very helpful and very professional. But this place is in desperate need for an update. The whole hotel has a musty smell which was unpleasant the entire time. We booked our room with "Club Level Access" where there was no snacks and minimal sodas and waters available throughout our stay. The Club Level Access is absolutely not worth the additional fee. The location is actually okay, right across from the Towson Town Center (indoor mall) which did have some nice shops. I think this Sheraton was pretty nice as far as the room was nice and clean. It's also next to a large mall which is nice for a variety of restaurants or even just as a place to stroll around in the evening. There is a bridge that connects, but it was closed when I went, so even though it would have been super convenient, it was okay to just walk across the street. The room came with a couple of free waters/coffee pot. The parking was free, or at least it was validated but I think it have just been on weekends. The fitness room was large and the indoor pool was a good size and there was a lifeguard. Now when I was there a lot of people let their kids play in the fitness room, but that's not the hotel's fault. There was 1 elevator that wasn't working and one that was shakey, so it was actually kind of slow to go up and down. I went to the club room twice and both times seemed like it had just been cleaned out, so I don't know what peak function looks like or if some people were going crazy stealing everything out of there. Otherwise it's a room where you can get a can of Diet Coke (because the Coke was gone). So despite some problems, it was fine for a stay and had some amenities. I'd come again. read more

When we stopped by to get some coffee and breakfast offerings, the following morning it had been well used and no one seemed to be in attendance to maintain/ clean off the tables, and cart away the very large loads of used dishes on a side cart. But, I did have a good night's sleep in the guest room. Pillows and bed were comfortable. I noticed some sort of water issue on floor in bathroom as we were leaving. But it was fine for a one night stay, near our friend's house. The hotel / convention center IS centrally located and convenient to a nearby mall, and various restaurants. read more

This is our first and last time staying at this hotel. It is definitely not up to Marriott standards. We checked in early. No complaint but was told that we could upgrade when we come back. Got back around 6:45pm and I got the upgrade. There was nothing different except this room had a microwave. It also had other things like a sink that ran out very slowly. The hot water knob was not lined up properly. See the attached picture. Other issues... 1. Needed another washcloth. There were 4 towels, 3 hand towels, and 2 washcloths. We need 3 since it was 3 of us in the room. Called and ask for a washcloth. 10 mins later got 2pillows 2. I told the associate I ask for towels. I also asked him to bring a spoon. I had a snack I wanted to eat. 3. He came back 15 mins later with the towels but no spoon. 4. I called front desk who transferred me to room service. I requested a spoon. 45 mins later no spoon. 5. My wife called around 10:30pm for a spoon. Again the call was transferred to room service. The associate told my wife he would be up here in 10 mins. ASK ME DO I HAVE THE SPOON I ASKED FOR! 6. My wife laid on the pillow that was bought up, they did not have a fresh smell to them. 7. An inconvenience to me.. you have to get the parking ticket validated every time you leave the parking lot so you don't have to pay. A new system needs to be setup for that in my opinion. They also charged for internet. The tv did not work in our room and I had to call the front desk and then go down to the front desk to get it fixed. This is just an okay hotel. It is convenient to dining and shopping in a pretty nice area. I have stayed at this hotel twice and each time we are given a nice room (wife's status). We usually are on the club level which is pretty nice with breakfast and a lite snacks in the evening. You can get drinks and coffee most any time of the day. My complaint with this property is their housekeeping. Both stays have had housekeeping issues, such as a tub with hair in it (not mine) and this time, no box of Kleenex in the holder. I mean, how is that missed. When you get to a hotel, you know others have stayed here but that is no reason to expect anything less than a well cleaned room. There is a stain on the sink that makes you wonder where it can from. The A/C is controlled elsewhere than your thermostat. It was freezing in here and the temp on the thermostat said it was 75 degrees. No way. I had to set it to 78 to get it to come on, and yes, it was on heat, not cool. Even then, it stayed on a few minutes and then off again. Not a fan. read more

PARKING GARAGE EXPENSIVE NIGHTMARE! We were in Baltimore for a Lacrosse Tournament. This hotel has a parking garage that when entering has a yellow metal bar that is 6 feet 6 inches off the ground. If your vehicle is higher than that it will scratch up your vehicle! RANDOPH JOHNSON - FRONT DESK MANAGER - WILL MAKE YOUR STAY HORRIFIC, AND IF YOU SPEAK TO HIM, DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR ROOM NUMBER AS HE WILL CANCEL YOUR PARKING PASS AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED $15/DAY! We did not know that the new truck we were in was going to hit the yellow metal bar and when it did, it left a long scratch along the roof. What we and our other friends who drove higher vehicles ended up doing is getting out of the vehicle and lifting the bar, which was on chains on either side so that we could safely drive into the ramp parking garage. The next day when we were about to enter the ramp garage, my son and I got out of the truck and when we were holding up the yellow bar, a man came out running and screaming at us to stop holding the bar. When I said to him that the bar is too low and that it already scratched my husbands new truck, he said, "well I guess you'll have to find another place to park!" I asked him where would that be and he told me there are plenty of places up and down the street away from the hotel and it wouldn't be more than 20 minutes walking distance! I honestly could not believe I was hearing this. He and I exchanged words, he kept smiling and laughing and kept repeating that the hotel is not responsible for parking and that belongs to another company. He then asked me for our room number. I was stupid enough to give it to him and the following day, when we had checked out of the hotel and were leaving the parking garage, our pass had been cancelled and the only way to get out was to pay $15! I know this was done deliberately because our friends' parking passes continued to work. Injured in Fitness Area Be careful on the Universal equipment in this gym. I was doing pull ups and the ceiling next to the machine drops down significantly. At the top of the pull up my head was split open by the edge of the ceiling, resulting in five staples. After the injury, I reported the incident and suggested they put something on the machine, so that another guest wasn't injured. At the time of my departure, three days later, the equipment was still open. read more

Ok, I'm gonna be real honest here. This is an aging hotel that's been redone but still feels a bit musty. But, the service and the staff here really make it easy to enjoy a stay. I was there for over a week at a conference. Housekeeping was great and remembered to bring me extra coffee packs for the room. The app worked great at this location, I used online check-in, the electronic room key, and to chat with the staff. I was also able to get a microwave gratis. Over the course of the week, I was able to eat at the bar "Rain", use the business center, the conference facilities, catering, room service, and the coffee shop. I did go by the gym but didn't use it. The rooms are spacious and I really appreciate that the furniture has plugs everywhere! Power! read more

Overall it's an ok place to stay. I stayed in room 411. The bed seemed clean from what I can tell. The room didn't smell. But the bathroom, no! The shower leaked and was hard to turn on and off due to the leak. The leak was noisy and annoying so we had to place a towel in the tub to cut the noise. The tub was gross. It was not cleaned before we arrived, there was hair and dirt smudges present. The caulking was very amateur and cracking. The bottom of the tub was the worst, it looked like maybe they had rubber grips glued down but they were removed? But not professionally done. It looked too dirty for me to use. No night light or dim light in the bathroom, I had to turn the "sun" in the middle of the night to used the toilet. Stayed at the Sheraton for a little Netflix & Chill. I used to frequent for happy hour while in college and it's had a renovation and is pretty, pretty, pretty good. Just not a great stay between lights flickering in the bathroom to ac not working. The icing on the cake was a finance issue I had to take 3 1/2 hours of my time to fix. It just was not a great stay and not a great response from the management staff. read more

The hotel is very clean and nice! The shower is a bit hard to figure out and a couple lamps were broken though. However! Britney, Mr. Jones, and Rosemary were so amazing. They were very nice and attentive. They made me feel welcome. read more

It is hard for me to believe that in this day and age that the hotel would not have a USB port anywhere (tv, lamp, clock radio or desk) to plug in your phone. I mistakenly left my block at home but was not worried because I just knew I would be able to charge my phone upon arriving to my hotel. I was thoroughly disappointed to find out that I in fact would not be able to charge my phone without going to sit in my car for about 2930 minutes. I would recommend that they do away with the click radio and install USB ports. The is something that would definitely make me reconsider staying at a Marriott Bonvoy for future travel. read more

I have stayed here 3-4 times for business and really do have to find another place! The room was clean enough, however, there is damage from the doorknob on a wall that is an eyesore, and the hook in the bathroom door is broken. The last time I was here I had the crab cakes at the bar and got sick during the night. This time I played it safe and ordered a cheeseburger from room service. I was told it would arrive in 30 min. When I called back 45 minutes later they told me they forgot the room number! I finally got my dinner which of course was cold. I am not a fan of cold cheeseburgers at 9 pm at night! 2 stars for the food and another one because it's in a good location. But they could use some help in the food department. read more
