I've stayed at plenty of hotels and understand that policies are policies, but this was something else. I simply asked about the possibility of an early check-in after a long drive, and the way Tammy, the manager, responded was shockingly unprofessional. It wasn't just a "no" -- it was the tone, the attitude, and the complete lack of basic courtesy. There was zero effort to be polite or accommodating, which is the bare minimum you expect from someone in hospitality, especially a manager. What stood out the most is that this wasn't a busy or chaotic situation, it was a straightforward guest request that could have been handled in a respectful way. Instead, it felt like I was being talked down to for even asking. When someone in a management role behaves like this, it reflects on the entire hotel. If this is the standard being set at the top, that's a serious problem. I hope ownership or corporate takes a closer look at how guests are being treated here, because one interaction like this can completely ruin what should be a simple stay. read more

Arrived Thur and was told one elevator was broken but would be fixed Fri. Leaving today, Sunday and it is still not fixed. Had to carry 7 bags of luggage down 6 flights of stairs do to the only elevator operating was full each time. They had 42 rooms booked last night just for a soccer team so they new they would be busy. I was told by an employee that the manager didn't want to pay the money to have it fixed. Front desk was zero help. I am expecting some sort of refund do to the inconvenience of the situation. I do not recommend staying there unless they fix the elev. read more

We spent one night where while visiting the area. We ended up with an accessible room. Everything was fine, we enjoyed our stay here. I like that they had a free breakfast in the morning. The location was a little quirky, kind of tucked off to the side of a Lowe's or something, but it wasnt a problem. I would stay here again. read more

I have stayed here a few times and it has always been a good experience. Had a late check in on a Friday night. I used the keyless entry but it didn't seem to work for me this stay. I ended up getting a key from the front desk. When I checked it saw to us a clean room. It was spacious. Room was a basic kind bed with a mini forage and coffee maker. No microwave. Bathroom was nice a roomy. I like the Hampton Inn because they do have the free breakfast included. Nothing extravagant but it's nice to have something right in the hotel. Not a bad place to stay for the price. It's located in an industrial area so not much to look at. One side you can see Padonia Rd and some businesses, the other you see Sam's Club parking lot. Definitely will stay here again in the future when I need to stay in the area. read more

Worst breakfast ever. No OJ, no oatmeal, no breakfast fruit, and hostile weak coffee.

I travel for business and note the little things. this property is clean, furniture in great condition, and has plenty of working outlets. I will stay here again due to the limited other Hilton options and there was nothing objectionable. not a 5 star (even for the mid tier hotels) due to the entrance being a touch tough to find, traffic issues with Sams club next door, and the road blocked frequently by the light rail activity. Now if you want an easy walk to the LR this is the place to stay! Breakfast is fair, selection of hot food a bit light. pool door lock broken, you have to fetch and wait for the desk to come. The pool itself is clean and clear. Exercise equipment all in good order. read more

AC would not cool the Suite. It was 78 degrees when I checked in. I set It down to 65 and it was 72 degree when I got up. Also shower head was messed up and would not work on various settings. Also, personally I could do without cheese omelette's being served pretty much every day and healthier cereals would be good. And one more thing... lol read more

Fantastic stay from check-in to check-out! Located in Timonium right off of Route 83 from PA, the Hampton Inn although tucked in off of the main road next to Lowes was centralized to many of the area's restaurants and shopping establishments. Upon arrival Friday night, my partner, his sister and I were greeted by the front desk manager Bill and his staff Renee - nice, courteous and professional. Had a nice room away from the elevators and didn't hear any noisy guests or slamming doors. The room was modern and a nice size. We've never seen a barn door used for the bathroom or closet. Beds were comfortable and A/C did its charm. We even had to lower the temperature a bit otherwise would have gotten icicles on our nose. The only complaint which was minor there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. They have complimentary breakfast here but decided to go elsewhere. This hotel had the best reviews in the area, and after staying here, we know why. read more

I am traveling often to the Baltimore area and have stayed in plenty of hotels. This one has been my favorite affordable hotel for one night! My boyfriend and I booked this hotel honestly just enough to shower and sleep, then we would be back on the road. We booked a king room, which was spacious and clean. The shower was large, hot, and had great water pressure (huge bonus!). The TV had Direct TV with tons of channels and a guide (another bonus!). Due to COVID, the pool was closed, but other amenities were open and they still served breakfast. I am really happy with this stay and will be booking again for a trip in the near future. read more

The worst customer service experience ever with the hotel night manager Quartus. My daughter and I were traveling together for a college dance audition. We were tremendously delayed and instead of checking in at 3:00pm on the 13th of October we arrived at 1:30am on the 14th. We were greeted rather rudely when I said we were checking in. The response was "I have no arrivals today". I told Quartus, the night manager, that we were actually supposed to arrive at 3:00 pm the day before however our flights were delayed. His response "I didn't have any scheduled arrivals yesterday." So I gave him my last name and he said " there is no reservation for that name." Umm...now I'm worried, did we take an Uber from the airport to the wrong hotel? I pulled up my confirmation email and showed it to him, asking politely and worriedly, if we were at the right hotel. It turns out we were and so I gave him my name again. Well now he found it,huh I realized he was trying to give me a hard time at that point, but it got worse. He asked if I was A***** I said no, that is my sister who was also traveling but left later than us and was delayed in Atlanta until possibly the next day. The manager said unless my sister was standing next to me I was not allowed to check in even though my name was on the reservation as well and I paid for the room, we could wait in the lobby for my sister to arrive. My other choice was to purchase another room. My daughter and I were exhausted, she had an audition first thing in the morning and instead of arguing with this moron any longer because my daughter was nearly in tears at this point, I bought another room so we could get some sleep. That process of course took him way longer than it should and he gleefully let me know that one of the nights was more expensive than the other. To make matters worse the hotel could not offer keys because the machine was broken? So Quartus had to escort us to our room. Since when are hotel guests treated this way? This is utterly horrendous and should be addressed by corporate. This review is not only about the Baltimore Hampton Inn but Hiltons customer service. It has taken me about 9 emails with customer service and a case number to try and sort this out because I was charged for both rooms and only stayed in one. Not one person is willing to help with the matter, in fact I had to finally call to get a credit for one of the rooms and I was told "Hilton sent you an apology email". I asked the customer service rep what that meant exactly, he told me that "Hilton is only offering an apology". So I asked him to repeat this because I am terribly confused, after the unconscionable treatment, the double charging I am only going to get an apology? His words exactly "YEP"! I am so done with Hilton what a horrible business model to treat repeat guests so poorly. I will go out of my way to never stay at any Hilton brand again. I know the Marriott is a much better company, they treat guests properly and kindly. I will make sure to let others know as well. read more

I checked in Aug 25th checked out Aug 26. I was assigned room 409 got in the bed and there were bugs in the bed. I was moved to a different room. I requested my money back and Hampton inn refused. I have comprised health and was staying because I had an appointment with John Hopkins. This is beyond concerning. read more

We stayed at this hotel May 2-5, room 301. It was a Hampton Inn was much like others we've stayed at: good location, pretty comfortable, decent breakfast options. I would probably give it four stars except for one thing: WE HAD HAD BEDBUGS! I woke up at 3:00 am to find something crawling on my leg. A bedbug. My wife threw back the sheets and found: another bedbug. We put the bugs in a plastic bag and showed them to the housekeeping manager, who seemed pretty disturbed. She moved us to another room, (which, thankfully, seemed to be bedbug-free), and told us that the hotel manager would be reaching out to us. It's now five days later and we haven't heard a word. Couldn't find a decent place in Hunt Valley as there were a lot of negative reviews. This hotel was only 10 min away. Checked in around 9pm and they weren't at all busy. Got a double queen room. The room was really clean, nice furnishings, quality bath products. The only thing I didn't like was that the curtains didn't close all the way. Breakfast was standard with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes and waffle station. Parking is free. More space in the back. read more

I travel quite a lot for business and spend an average of fifty nights per year in hotels. There are three or four national chains that are my go-to hotels with Hampton being one of them. I recently stayed at the Timonium Hampton for the third time. This is the BEST Hampton that I have ever visited. It is far enough from the highway that it is very quiet. But it is a convenient location and good food, coffee, etc are only a short distance away. Each time, my room has been clean and comfortable. Everything from the linens to the furniture to the flooring is impeccable. But do you know what's even better than a flawless room? Nice people. As I mentioned, I stay in a lot of different hotels in a number of different cities, so I have my favorites. But the personnel at this Hampton are simply the nicest folks that you'd ever want to meet. No lie. Every single person that I met at the front desk - morning, noon, and night - was as pleasant as can be. I wish that I could give this hotel SIX stars! read more

My second time staying here for work. Very clean and staff is friendly and welcoming. Complementary breakfast is hot and a good selection considering it's free. Make your own waffles, fresh oatmeal, cereal, baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, french toast, coffee, tea and more. I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The check in process was smooth and the staff was very friendly. The price was decent for the accommodations. My room was clean and presentable. The beds weren't the best quality but that is to be expected at most hotels. Stayed one night for a business trip with colleagues and everyone seemed to enjoy their stay. Another cute feature was their "to go" breakfast bags. It included a water, ice tea mix, granola bar, apple, and pastry. Super cute idea for people in a rush in the morning! As a regular customer and as a Diamond member, the service disappoints me. Other than my rant below. The walls are thin, the bed is hard, the sheets have a vinyl feel, the TV didn't have a sleep timer feature, and the HVAC unit is loud. What's good is the location, the room was clean, the tv had descent reception, and the space was generous. Overall, for me, service goes a long way and I'm willing to travel the distance to get good service, so for that reason, I'm avoiding this place. Upon check in the person at the front desk wasn't trying to go above and beyond and seemed tied up and busy even though the place was quiet. When asked about the complimentary bottled water and snack, I was told that it wasn't in my profile to receive them. I understand it's written but in other Hampton Inns, I get both welcome points and water and snacks. Doesn't this place know that going above and beyond would get loyal brand customers to comeback and lure them away from hotels who are giving away more for less? Maybe it's because they are the only game in town for a few miles. read more

Booked because we were getting our house renovated. Fire alarm went off 5+ times starting at midnight because it was malfunctioning. My children were horrified because it was LOUD and they were so startled over and over again. Initially we were told it was all clear and went inside just to have it happen 3 more times. We ended up checking out at 2 am with our crying kids and went back home to sleep in the unfinished house with tools, plastic sheeting, dust, etc. We had no choice because when we asked if it was fixed/is it going to go off again, they said they weren't sure. The kids were so scared they wanted to sleep in the car. I got charged the full amount so I asked for a refund. The woman at the front desk was so incredibly rude and I didn't want to fight with her over the phone. I called their customer service line. They refunded me 20k points. I had to call back and ask for them to refund me for the full amount and they only refunded me $50. This experience was so bad it was surreal. They should have refunded every guest for that night and then some. The hotel itself was great, but the staff were not kind or helpful. read more

From the wonderful and accommodating Mercy and Wanda at the front desk, to the helpful Patrick cleaning snow off of the cars in the parking lot and the attentive Derrick helping my kids with their continental breakfast, our stay here was first-rate. The entire staff here deserves a raise. And whoever is training the staff deserves one too. Bravo! read more

Pros: very open, very updated. I like that the TV spins to face your bed & I like that the shower is a shower and not a shower bath tub. Pretty comfortable pillows and bed. Cons: there were some hairs in the shower which is my biggest pet peeve. I had to run downstairs to get make-up wipes and there are also no shower caps. I dislike that they only give free water to diamond members. I'm a Hilton honors member & im almost to diamond. I had to pay for mine. Also, when I entered the room there was a bath cloth in a ball on my floor. I'm assuming a maid dropped it on her way out BUT you never know ... I refused to touch it. read more

I arrived to check in and Emily was at the front desk. She was extremely rude from the very first interaction. There was an issue with the reservation payment (i prepaid through hotels.com). She insisted that i had to pay and that she was not going to give me a room until i did. I told her i understand what she is saying but that i had already paid over $300 i was not going to pay an additional $300. I needed to get in touch with hotels.com in order to figure out the issue. She said "so we are going to drag this out?" I said "yes If it means i am not double charged". She was rolling her eyes and had an attitude the ENTIRE time. Her coworker Tara came out and was super nice and tried to help. And eventually figured out the issue but at that point i was so frustrated and uncomfortable with Emily's behavior there was NO WAY i would stay at this hotel. I called hotels.com and got a refund and booked at a neighboring hotel. Very upsetting as i most often stay at Hilton brand hotels and have never had an issue. Emily was extremely rude and disrespectful. She does not belong in hospitality or any other customer service. read more

I am traveling to Timonium on business tomorrow and planned to check in a day before at Hampton Inn so that I could have a room available in the morning (before the usual check in). The receptionist at Hampton Inn was incredibly rude and told me I couldn't do that and she couldn't have a room available the following morning. She then bluntly said that she was going to cancel my reservation. I called the Holiday Inn in Timonium and they were delightful and fulfilled my request in a short call. I recommend booking at Holiday Inn and not Hampton Inn in Timonium! read more

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with how accurate the online pictures were for this hotel. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast and coffee was good. The staff was also very friendly! We stayed in one of the suites and it was very spacious, they also supplied rose petals and roses upon request that I was surprised with upon entry. He very quickly checked us into a beautiful king room on the 6th floor. The room was very spacious, clean, and modern. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. Hands down one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at! My room (king bed suite) was clean and comfortable and I really enjoyed the spaciousness of it. Our room was quiet, which was great too. No complaints on the room! Their breakfast area was a bit messy when we got to it around 8:30 AM on a Sunday, a bit cramped too, but the food was yummy and was being replenished frequently even with there being a large number of people being there. I overheard the gentleman at the reception desk saying the hotel was completely booked, so perhaps if it wasn't as booked the food area would have been more manageable. The location of the hotel was convenient and easy to locate once you got off 83, and it's a great place to stay if you don't want to deal with the city noise/traffic but you still want to be close enough to it to do activities. The litterally kicked us out in the middle of the day, becouse we were discussing business (6 of us) and we did not want to pay 500.00 for the use of a conference room for a couple of hours. Big thumbs down. So we went across the stree to the Holiday Inn where a few of our other co-workers were staying and they were very hospitable. After flying across country and stepping off our plane in Baltimore, we found it very hot in the lower 90's. My wife and I couldn't wait to get to the hotel and take a swim, to get out the kinks. Upon arriving they found the reservation and told us our room was ready. Oh, the pool is out of service for the next few days....But, we have an exercise room she said ? Very disappointing for us. Check in was fast room was spacious...refrigerator included in the room however there was no microwave, bathroom was nice and clean, they have free wi-fi, indoor pool goes up to 5ft, non smoking hotel, right next to a Sam's Club and Wal-Mart, McDonald's, Burger king, rite-aid is a few miles away, there's even a Zoe's Kitchen nearby (Upscale Greek fast food restaurant) I'm planning a trip to the Maryland state fair and this is the hotel where I plan to stay.
