I booked here this past weekend because many of the better hotels were booked and prices increased due to the marches. I realized this was a 2 star hotel but this went beyond my lowest expectations. Lobby: -The desk has bulletproof glass. Red flag #1 -Smelled like stale cigarettes/urine/stale dog (despite a sign at the entrance stating it is a non-smoking facility) -Super shady clientele -Ratty carpet I got my room key and here's where the fun began. The room appeared neat and passable until I inspected the bathroom. The frame around the door was splintered and the bathtub had a large rough spot in the bottom, like the enamel had been scraped off, and no stopper. I decided to go to the front desk to ask for another room. While waiting for the elevator I noticed many of the rooms were missing deadbolts and the hole where the deadbolt should be was covered with random materials (one had a piece of cardboard). This began my tour of their available rooms. 2nd room: Smelled like smoke, nightstand broken and lampshade had holes in it like there was a fight, bathtub scraped and discolored, unidentifiable stain on carpet 3rd room: Water on the bathroom floor from leaking toilet, smelled, random chair wedged between the wall and bed facing the wrong way and unusable. This time the front desk clerk called housekeeping and asked the housekeeper to show me "a good room". I met her on the 3rd floor and she escorted me to the 4th room. This room smelled clean, bathroom was clean but when I turned on the light I saw a large piece of wallpaper hanging from the wall above the chair. A maintenance man was passing by and the housekeeper asked him if he could fix it immediately. He said he could but he had to go get his tools. I asked the housekeeper if there was anything else. She said no so I told them never mind. During all of this I'm noticing customers coming and going in the halls and elevators. Many appeared homeless, alot of dusty young people, some folks clearly on drugs (saw a guy tweaking in the parking lot!) and super loud. I wouldn't even have been comfortable falling asleep there especially since it was the weekend. I went to the front desk and told the gentleman he was going to have to give me a refund because this was unacceptable even for a 2 star. He was apologetic and accommodating and refunded me without incident. On some level I think he knew the hotel was a mess. I called a hotel I've visited in the past and explained my situation. Even though their rates were pretty high for the weekend, the manager matched the Comfort Inn rate +$20 which I was more than willing to pay. DO NOT STAY HERE! First off I'm not one to go off a few bad reviews but don't choose this place. Save your sanity and spend $10-$20 more somewhere else. The refrigerator doesn't work the room smelled like dog. The air-conditioning blew out white air. The bathtub was painted the moment we got here we asked for two extra towels because there was four of us staying in the room and they just kept pushing it back saying they couldn't get us towels until the morning then they said that towels wouldn't be ready till 10 AM. Then they said 1230 then they said two then we asked the cleaning lady and she said she couldn't do anything unless we spoke to the front desk And so then we went back to the front desk. He texted the cleaning lady still wouldn't give us towels the ice machine doesn't work. The pool was under maintenance although it looked fine for swimming in this 90° heat I'm surprised this hotel is still here. The comp breakfast was very LOW quality. The damage has fresh oats of paint holding it together. read more

I rented a room at Comfort Inn to hopefully have some peace and quiet before I had to take my MLO test the following morning. When I checked in the counter was surrounded by what seemed like some sort of protective glass, which made the whole experience seem very off-pudding. After going through my room and looking at everything I felt uncomfortable on the cleanliness of the room the well as well as the condition of the room, the bathroom toilet bathtub was not clean the door to the bathroom was falling apart at the bottom. There was also peeling wallpaper everywhere and poorly painted areas. The AC unit barely functione. Could not get help regarding any kind of room issues. Slept on top of the bedsheets. Was not comfortable getting into the bed undressed. I finally fell asleep and then at 2 AM I was awoken by a fire alarm that went off in the entire building. Upon examination by the firefighters, nothing was found at the hotel, and everyone was allowed to go back to their room. It took me over an hour to fall back asleep. Once I woke up, I went to breakfast and felt uncomfortable eating anything as the breakfast area seemed quite unsanitary. None of the tables were clean. The food itself looked far from appetizing. The only thing that I felt safe to eat was the make your own waffle. The whole experience was far from relaxing. read more

First we entered 310 and there was a huge stain on the ground. Looked like blood.. I always check the beds when at hotels. I checked the first room and the bed was horrible... they have rats... not mice... my daughter saw one she said it was a big one... there was no phone in the room... can u say dangerous.. so I called from my cell phone... the guy moves us... we get to the second room 4th floor I pulled the bedspread back checking for bedbugs and the bed was horrible... chips in the bed under the mat and mice poop.and bugs on the wall... He then moves us a 3rd time. 1st floor. I pull the sheets again the bed is even worse.. I show him the videos. He says why would you take that off... you are doing too much.. of course I go off... there was another young lady in the waiting area and she said.. omg I am glad u said something. I forgot the last time I was here I saw 3 rats in my room and got the heck out... yeah dont stay here... This place doesn't deserve any reviews at all. Room #201 near the emergency exit was the shadiest room. No door lock, the door couldn't close properly. Anyone can push the door and gain entry to the room. The lighting was terrible. This room gives the vibe of room set up for where crime would happen. Abuse or traffics . Stay away from this hotel. This hotel needs to be shut down. They put me in this room but luckily my 6th sense told me to cancel my booking. read more

Hotel is DIRTY, not anything like the pictures shown.  Customer Service POOR.  Be careful of showers, water was way too hot for ANYONE to take a shower. way hotter that 120 degrees.  We were unable to shower both days because of the temperature of the water. Asked for extra pillows 7 times and on the second night, we finally got them at 9:00pm .  Had to get key cards redone 8 times during a two day period. We ended up going to get breakfast because the eating are was VERY dirty for the FREE BREAKFAST.  Someone had the door to the outside propped open, resulting in flies getting in. By the entrance to the backdoor (hot secure) was 7 bags of trash piled up, both days while we were there. read more

The worst hotel experience I've had in the last 25 years. Pot smoke everywhere. That smell, along with cigarettes and some sort of musty odor permeates the place. Mishandling of food at the free breakfast. No one appears to be in charge. There is no security. Cleaning staff speaks almost no English. I've already filed a complaint Choice Hotels corporate. I also reached out to the health authorities in Baltimore County and learned that there are already multiple complaints and that this property is under investigation. read more

0 stars! We've stayed here before and it was beautiful. So we booked it again for this weekend. Well we got to our room and the bathroom door was disgusting. The carpet was black in some areas. There were cigarette burns on the wall. And there was a used towel in the closet. Then I saw a freaking mouse run behind the fridge! That was it. I was done. Went to the front desk and told them I wanted a refund, which they gave me. We went back to the room to get our bags and left. While in line behind another guest we heard them saying they were checking out because there was a cat in their room. It was a freaking rat! Their room was right across the hall from ours. We're now at the Red Roof in Perryville. Beautiful hotel. Clean. And $100 less than the Comfort Inn. read more

You have to walk the stairs to the second floor to use the elevator. What about the disabled?! The stairway had a used condom on the landing. The bath tub was disgusting. The shower didn't work. Needed a place to stay overnight for a funeral too far from home to drive and this place suited us just fine. We try to stay with the Choice Hotels line and this one didn't let us down. The room was a 'bit' tight but we made it work. There was a free standing 'closet' for hanging clothes, desk, bureau with TV and low chest all along one wall. The room also contained a mini fridge and a microwave. The carpet was dated but clean. The mattress was amazingly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast room was clean and tidy and well taken care of during our morning visit. read more

It wasn't bad.. good enough for the money range . The "Queen" bed wasn't so "queen" our 2 fatasses couldn't even fit in one bed. The morning breakfast isn't so bad but will get tire of eating dry sausages and disgusting eggs. The waffles are good though. The pool is dirty. Filled with some lady bug spider types of bugs. Checked in for two nights and when I walked in the place, their wifi was down and when I asked the guy at the front desk when it went down, he said it went sown this morning. After talking to someone in the elevator who has been there since Thursday, he said it's been out ever since he got there. The room smelled like cigarettes and the door wouldn't lock completely. On the second day I saw a mouse run through my room. I went downstairs to get a refund and he just put me in another room. After I got to the 5th floor for my new room, the door key didn't work. I went downstairs to ask for a refund and the guy at the front desk tried to just brush my request off and said to call HQ after I leave. It took me about 45 minutes to get in contact with the manager and get my refund back. I also had to ask for a payment invoice because I didn't trust the refund coming back to my account. Stay away from that dump by all means possible and save your money. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE. Every single front desk person was awful. While the rooms are affordable, do not waste your time AT ALL. They would not let us check in early after we called and confirmed it. The front desk guy on Saturday 6/14 at 330PM told us that he cannot let us have a room and we had parties from New York and Virginia arriving. I told him we will come back at 830pm to check in. OUR ROOM WAS CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTICE. The next front desk person was very rude and said it auto cancels at 5 if you did not prepaid when that was not required upon reserving. We sat in the lobby looking for other hotels within a 5 mile radius. Front desk as absolutely useless. He offered to look for places for us be he did not even check. He left it to us. 3 people came down asking either for cleaning products, new/cleaner bed sheets and towels because there was something wrong with their room. The pool was down for maintenance AND the wifi was broken and it was being offered on the website still. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE DO NOT GO HERE. Also sketchy people in the front entrance. The Sheraton 2 miles away is WAY BETTER, more accommodating and CLEAN. HARD PASS. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. read more

I checked in, left and came back. Upon entering the room, it was not cleaned at all. I went downstairs and advised management. I was told he would talk to housekeeping because the housekeeping supervisor had to sign off on the room. I requested another room that was clean. He guaranteed it would be cleaned. When we walked to the second room, the door was open.. the bed was made, but when I looked to the right, I saw a roach on the wall. We not staying here!!! I went back downstairs and was refunded. My husband and I needed a place to stay for one night and I decided on this location. It was in my price range and the pictures were not awful. I did read the reviews but decided to give the hotel a chance. That was a bad decision!!! Here are the three issues I have with the hotel: 1. We received a welcome into the room by a roach crawling on the wall. I tried to kill it, but it escaped me. My husband and I were so exhausted that we just wanted to go to sleep. Thankfully we did not see any others while in the process of getting ready for bed. Although I was disturbed about roaches being in the room, I was able to get some sleep (not sure how though). 2. The bed felt lumpy and what they considered pillows were not! I'm not sure what they were, but it seemed like half filled pillows folded into squares. 3. The bathtub seemed to have a permanent water mark aroung the bottom. The water was not flowing smoothly and would create a pool of water that came up to my ankles before my shower was complete (which I believe created the water mark). To be fair, the water did run down the drain eventually and my husband was able to take a shower without stepping Into a pool of my bath water. The overall feel of the hotel left something to be desired. The hotel is rough around the edges and need some finishing details to be completed. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location! read more

Whoever reviewed this place before me got this all wrong. This hotel is run by friendly, accommodating people, the room was affordable and spotless, and the overall experience was such that we would stay here again without hesitation. We were supposed to stay at The Days Inn across the street but our horrible experience checking in (see review) forced us to seek other arrangements. When we drove across to the Comfort Inn and explained the situation to Daevon the counter agent, he was friendly and sympathetic to us, and offered us the lowest possible room rate available. With his personable help, we checked in immediately and found ourselves comfortable, safe, and cared for during our overnight stay. Daevon and the rest of the team were professionals and were attentive, be it for extra towels, an offer to help with our luggage, or during check out. Only issue we had was the free breakfast spread - wasn't anything truly edible, but because this was a last minute stay, I cannot deduct points on this one. Overall we were more than satisfied and will consider this location in the future - you should too. read more

Numerous problems with cleanliness at this place. Our first night we got there, unpacked and were settling in. We found an ant on the bed I brushed it off and thought nothing of it. We open our drinks and twenty minutes later my boyfriends drink is covered with ants! We move the beside table to see some sort of food and wrapper COVERED with ants. We pack our things and go down to ask for another room. We aren't ones to complain often but that's disgusting. We check the new room for ants and food but nothing was there so we settled in here. We did find a fake acrylic nail behind the bedside table which is nasty but didn't wanna complain any more. So the next day my bf had a box of doughnuts that ended up being covered in ants in our new room!!! Not to mention we found a random lighter in our ice box. Every time we were in the hallway that day from around 10am to 6pm we saw the cleaning service in a group talking to one another. No wonder why the rooms are dirty and infested with ants!! They aren't cleaning it properly!!! The front desk staff was lovely and super helpful though!! My last complaint is the fact that one of the elevators is down. Reading some other reviews it seems like it's been down since as early as 2016! Just spend an extra hundred and go to the holiday inn or something down the street. read more

Our room was infested with roaches and mice. I went to the front desk at 0440am after seeing mice. Asked if we wanted to switch rooms(my auntie is physically challenged and had been asleep for hours and waking and moving her wasnt feasible) the young lady stated "well you know you're in Bmore" Umm "hello miss, I live here and my house isn't invested with vermin." (Praying none were taking a ride home in my bags..ugh) at checkout the next day the person at the counter said well we can give a 25% refund. Checked my card, they gave 5%. Was booked in this hotel for a US Lacrosse event as this hotel is affiliated with the org.  US Lacrosse may want to rethink using this hotel as the accommodations are not good and customer service somehow even worse. I was only booked here one night and at 10:30pm 2 bugs were found - one small bug on the pillow, and one large bug on the curtains. I notified the front desk and was relocated to another room. It was late so I waited until the morning to address the complaint with hotel staff. In the morning I talked to Brett the manager about a discount as I didn't think I should have to pay full price for a bad experience. He advised that the hotel was overbooked 26 rooms, so they lost money because they had to cancel someone's reservation to relocate my room, therefore they couldn't discount my room rate.  Which...yeah right - it was 10:30 at night. anyone staying at this dump would have checked in already. Brett, the manager, was argumentative, didn't apologize for the bad experience, and totally dismissive. I will be emailing US Lacrosse about their recommendation for accommodations at this hotel as well as the organization I traveled with. Slept well. At first it appears quite clean but the longer I stayed the more I noticed: there are lots of little things wrong with this establishment. Little things: a couple of stains here, some damage there. A LOT of little things though. When I went to shower the water temperature was not consistent and fluctuated between lukewarm and hot. The coffee pot in the lobby only squirts out one tablespoon of coffee per pump - if I wanted a workout I would have gone to the gym. I understand that serving juice in pitchers is cheaper, but it is certainly not the cleanliness approach. The four slice toaster had one side that worked if you were willing to stand there for ten minutes, the other side didn't even get warm. Over my one night stay, I realized that this hotel does the bare minimum to appear as a good hotel. I stayed the night, but went elsewhere for breakfast. read more

I arrived to check in and discovered that my reservation had been cancelled by the hotel even though I had a Confirmation number. They were over booked so I was out of luck with no room. Got lucky with another hotel. They may have done me a favor as the lobby was dirty and had a nasty smell along with rude people working the front desk. I booked 2 rooms for myself and my crew for a few days but was forced to check out early as I was unaware that my rates included pests. My crew and I spent 2 nights listening to mice rummage through our belongings all night. When I approached the front desk I was met with indifference and insensitivity. I didn't expect them to jump through hoops for me... I did expect, at the very least, empathy and genuine concern of which I received neither. The reactions by the staff tell me that they are well aware of the rodent problem and are completely detached. When I asked for the manager's information so I could contact him directly about the issue, the individual manning the desk claimed not to know the last name. Absurd. He did share he knew his first name was Britt. I found my experience with this hotel to be EXTREMELY unsatisfactory and strongly recommend against giving them your business unless you have no issue with sharing a room with the hotels' mouse population. read more

Originally, I had a reservation for the Days Inn across the street and had a horrifying experience there. It was very gross and the front desk did not care and it wreaked of weed and I did not feel safe bringing my mother and toddler to stay for one night. In a panic, we called other hotels in the area and Comfort Inn had available rooms. We ran over there and although the front desk wasn't very welcoming, they accommodated us on such short notice and gave us a normal average and clean room. This is a lot better than what the Days Inn gave us! We slept soundly, the beds were clean. It could use a facelift, but it's not supposed to be a fancy hotel. Safe, clean enough for the price. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past when I visit my family in Maryland. I stayed June 9-11, 2017 and will NEVER stay at this hotel again. To start the elevator has been down due to maintenance for about 1 year which leaves one elevator working so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. I stood there Friday and Saturday nights and the smell of marihuana was overwhelming when I walked out of my room every morning meanwhile this is a non smoking hotel but I guess you can smoke pot. The shady characters in the lobby and parking lot with no security around kept me on my guard. I have tried to contact the manager Jay Bhavsar about 3 or 4 times and left him messages but he does not return calls. I also left a message for him when I checked out so apparently he doesn't care about how his customers feel about this establishment. read more

Had a one-night stay there last Saturday 04/06/2019. Got there around 10 pm, but check-in was fine. First thought was that this place really needs a makeover. Room looked clean, and while I appreciate a microwave and a fridge, having them next to one of the queen beds was weird. My daughter went to take a shower, and I immediately heard a noise. The spigot flew off from the water pressure! I called the front desk, explained that we just checked into room ____, and told her what happened. She told me someone would be up to see, and maybe to change our room. 40 minutes later and no one arrived. I called again and was told, "I forgot the room number. I was waiting for you to call back." How many 10pm check-ins were there? Upon further inspection, I saw the tub also had a hole in it! A gentleman came up and put the spigot back on. The toilet was very slow to flush/fill, and the sink only emptied if I removed the stopper (it was not connected to the pull at the faucet). One and done... Yes, we did ask to have the room serviced after the first three days but it still wasn't done Hotel ran out of the coffee pods they supply for in room use.
