According to one of the hotel staff I talked to, the Dallas Sheraton is the largest hotel in the city. And I believe it! There is a convention center attached to the hotel. We stayed here recently for a convention, and there was ample space for the myriad sessions and areas needed for this. And overall our stay was OK. Some of the good: * Our room was comfortable and clean. * My kids loved the outdoor pool. * Love that there is also a bee garden on the roof. * There are a few restaurant options, as well as a market with grab-and-go items, so you can likely find food nearby. * The food we ate during the convention's sit-down dinners were tasty. Some of the meh: * Parts of the hotel are a bit dated. * We went to the more casual of the restaurants and were disappointed to see it doesn't have a kids menu. * There needs to be better signage on the outside that directs you to the hotel's solitary entrance. This hotel takes up a large city block, and when we arrived, we ended up walking all the way around -- in 90+-degree heat with kids and luggage -- trying to find the only open entrance. * I wish there was a shuttle to Love Field. For being the largest hotel, I was surprised when this wasn't offered. Would I stay here again? Yes, if I was attending a conference here. Otherwise, I would likely go elsewhere. read more

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The parking is ridiculously expensive, but I guess that happens everywhere. It doesn't mean I'm not going to call it stupid. It's $45 a day for self parking (my conference has a discounted rate, thank God), $54 for valet. The Dart is easily accessible and you can get a day pass for $6 to get pretty much anywhere in the city. Much nicer than the parking charge. I took a shuttle and the dart from the airport to the hotel and it was a breeze. The hotel is enormous. My room was enormous too. It was spacious and clean. The bathroom felt a little crowded. The bed was not the most comfortable. But everything was clean and neat. I had some great city views and also some loud city sounds. Housekeeping was fantastic! Prices were jacked up for the world cup, otherwise, we probably would have added more time and started the weekend. Booohooo. read more

The issues started immediately upon checking into my room. I walked into a room with visible pre-existing damage, including a damaged TV stand and a cracked porcelain sink. To be clear, cosmetic imperfections in a hotel room do not bother me at all. What bothered me was having to stop everything I was doing to document the damage and report it downstairs because I did not want to risk being held responsible for something that was already there. To the front desk's credit, they handled the report professionally and mentioned they would send someone to inspect the sink because of the possibility that the crack could worsen or leak. Since I always keep my privacy sign on the door, I specifically went back upstairs to remove it after giving permission for staff to enter. I waited in the room for someone to come inspect the issue, but nobody ever showed up. The room itself continued to present problems. The television signal went out for a period of time. The light near the entry door flickers constantly whether it is switched on or off, which means the room never gets fully dark. Thankfully, it is not directly visible from the bed, but it is still distracting and feels like something that should have been fixed long ago. The air conditioning unit also struggled with consistency. I found myself constantly adjusting it because it never seemed to maintain the set temperature. Then there were the smaller interactions that added to the frustration. On the first afternoon, I attempted to eat at Open Palette, the hotel's main restaurant, and got the impression that the two employees at the front simply did not want me dining there. The interaction felt awkward enough that I decided to wait for Draft Sports Bar to open instead. I ended up grabbing pizza slices later from Open Mkt because I received inconsistent times (3pm vs 5pm) from staff regarding when the bar would open, which honestly turned out to be the best decision of the night because pizza rarely disappoints. On the second day, the elevators began malfunctioning. The issue was especially noticeable when selecting upper floors. I was on the sixth floor, and multiple times the button would illuminate after being pressed, then suddenly clear itself as though nobody had selected the floor at all. Multiple guests noticed the same thing and had to repeatedly press their floor buttons. I have genuinely never seen an elevator behave that way before. Oddly enough, the elevators were perfectly fine earlier in the stay. The final straw came later. Back at Open Palette, after waiting an unusually long time for service after being seated in the solarium area, the server approached both me and another guest and essentially asked us to determine who had arrived first so they could decide who to serve. I honestly could not believe the situation. That should not be placed on guests to sort out, especially when neither person is tracking who sat down first. It created an awkward and uncomfortable moment that could have easily been avoided. Rather than deal with something so ridiculous, I simply let the other guest go ahead and left without eating there. I then went over to the sports bar instead, where the experience was noticeably better overall. One thing I did notice, however, was an inconsistency in how billing procedures were handled. Earlier, I was asked for either my room number or credit card before dining, yet during this visit nobody requested anything until afterward. Again, not a major issue by itself, but when combined with everything else, it added to the sense of disorganization. What keeps this from being a one-star review is the front desk staff and the conference areas associated with the event I attended. Those aspects of the hotel were very good. The ballrooms were cold, but attendees were warned about that in advance, so I cannot really hold that against anyone. Overall, the stay felt like one issue after another. None of these things individually would have ruined the experience, but together they created a level of frustration that led me to write this review. read more

I've been staying at the Sheraton Downtown Dallas for the past five weeks, and honestly? It's started to feel like home. One of my favorite things is the variety right inside the hotel, you've got multiple restaurants to choose from, whether you're in the mood for something upscale, a more laid-back sports vibe, or even a speakeasy-style spot. It makes it so easy to switch things up without ever leaving. The customer service here is truly top notch. From day one, I felt taken care of, and that level of consistency over several weeks really says a lot. I also really appreciate the twice-per-week cleaning schedule; everything stays fresh without feeling intrusive. A huge bonus for me is that my company has a lounge in the hotel, which makes downtime feel even more comfortable and convenient. And let me just say: the gym is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Easily one of the best hotel gyms I've experienced. But it hasn't been ALL good. One thing I will point out (as others have noted), the bathtubs are a little sus. When you run water, the drains may sometimes back up. And it can be anything from what looks like hair... to other stuff I'm not too sure of. I've spoken to the hotel about it, & apparently it's a building wide thing. Still makes you very vigilant when bathing. Overall, this stay has been nothing short of amazing. **This review is based on a three night stay in May 2026.** With the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, you have to take the bitter with the sweet, because there is plenty of both. THE SWEET: The folks at the desk were phenomenal (a little more on that later). Check-in was a breeze. Our room was nice -- two comfortable queens, a beverage cooler and a nicely sized desk, from which I am writing this review. The internet service here is fine. The location of this property is exceptional, as it is close to pretty much everything downtown, and access to major roads is right outside the door. There are also plenty of nooks and crannies (chairs and coffee tables) scattered throughout. My wife and I always bring our cribbage board and used one of those crannies on a Saturday night to play a few matches (we're dorky old people). THE BITTER: Imagine this scenario... You're sitting at your desk in your hotel room, and someone keys themselves into your space. I was sort of in shock, as was he. He issued an apology and told me that the front desk assigned him the room (this was on my second day in the room). It certainly wasn't his fault. Within three minutes of him going on his way, my phone rings. When I answered, a lady on the other end asks "What is your first and last name?" I responded to her "Excuse me?" She came back again and asked "What is your first and last name?" at which point I blasted her. First, how about a greeting and an explanation? Secondly, you just gave a dude a key to my room and put both of us in an awkward situation, and now you want me to ID myself? I let her know that I had been a Marriott Rewards member since the late 1990s and that I had never experienced this -- including at no-tell motels off the interstate highways. I then gave her my first and last name and told her that this was totally unprofessional. THE SWEET: The lady at the desk, at that point was very apologetic and explained to me that someone didn't check a box somewhere. I let her know that such things happen, and we worked things out. Customer service is huge, and I am hopeful that her experience helps her in the future. Instead of calling and asking "What is your first and last name?" how about calling and saying "Look, there's been a screw-up down here...etc." MORE SWEET: Because of the embarrassing mishap, these folks added points to my Marriott Rewards and also gave me a nice credit at the bars and restaurants. I didn't use the credit, because it just didn't feel right. But I was very glad that they did everything in their power to make things right. A LITTLE MORE BITTER: On our first night, the AC just quit working. I woke up at 2 a.m. sweating profusely. I turned the AC back on, and everything was fine for the rest of the weekend. -- The elevators in the parking garage here are garbage. Despite that you hear a ding every two seconds, I'm convinced that they are just piping in the sound, because we had to take stairs multiple times after giving up. Not only was it irritating, it was also not ADA compliant. Not cool. At all. -- It's not the end of the world, but it deserves to be noted that the housekeeping crew took cash and change that I'd left on the TV stand. I suppose they believed that it was their gratuity. I leave gratuities on the last day of my stay, but perhaps they didn't know. Note to self: Use the room safe. BOTTOM LINE: Like I said, there is plenty of good and plenty of bad. I think the management is attempting to make this a more highly regarded property, but there is obviously some work to do. read more

Solid 3 stars. Not good, not bad; just about as middle of the road as it gets. The Sheraton is quite massive and known for hosting conferences, galas and quite notably the yearly Margarita Ball. There is a lot of underground parking which can be validated if you are staying in the hotel. The check in process was quick and effective. Once we got to our room, it was pretty standard. It was clean and had everything we needed but there is no WOW factor. Even the view of downtown was meh. Overall, if you are looking for a standard hotel where everything is reliably predictable and standard, this is it. read more

Spent one night here for work and did not have working air conditioning in room 3537. Front desk sent engineering up and was told it should cool off after being adjusted. Slept in 80 degrees and a box fan. No follow up from anyone involved at any time in my stay. Then the next morning I reached out again (it's currently 90 degrees in Dallas.). I was told engineering would come back but they never showed up. Nothing Update. A very nice gentleman showed up 30 min before my departure to help With the issue. Also spoke to Jamie Reed at the front desk on my way out. She was very apologetic and helpful. read more

This is by far the worst Marriott hotel for Elite platinum status or higher. Not only are the amenities subpar, the executive lounge doesn't even open until 730am for breakfast, if you're an early riser, good luck getting breakfast without having to leave the hotel: Same thing at night. I just needed some Gatorade and mouthwash late last night....no gift shop or any options to get anything after 10pm. You're literally stuck between 10pm and 7am with zero options. Door Dash? Nope, tried that too, Door dash cancelled my order, probably due to where this hotels located. Even tried to walk to a corner store, dodging homeless people at 1230am, just to find that the 7-11 that's advertised as 24/7 was closed when I got there. If you're attending a conference or event here then it makes sense to stay here. However, there are too many nearby similarly priced options in the Bonvoy portfolio to pick this place. There was less than a handful of staff who were kind to me. First it was the young lady who checked me in on 6/3, Sayed on 6/6, the lady who helped with the catering in Majestic 4-5 (she was so sweet and friendly), and the housekeeping lady. When I called the service desk on 6/5 around 11pm ish, the two ladies who "helped" me were rude and condescending while I was trying to understand my bill and why my Bonvoy account was not linked to my stay. They lied and said it was completed and today I found out it was not. I was transferred from one person to the other without even being told why or without an introduction or explanation after a long hold. But thanks to Sayed my account was linked today (3 days later so I will be able to get my points). Before that, it took almost an hour just for me to check in due to the credit card authorization form being sent to the incorrect email address. I told the front desk manager repeatedly and no one was listening to me. I was already having a bad day and finally, someone else checked after 45 minutes!!! Some of the facilities seemed outdated for the price per night plus the expensive parking, the bar gets loud and rowdy, and the skywalks are locked or the elevators don't work at times. Some of the stairs smelled like pee :[ They have two parking garages I used and the underneath doesn't feel as safe but did have many more spots. My pillows were comfy and so was the bed but my actual sheets and comforter seemed old or cheap even the ironing board looked old lol... The bathroom was clean and my towels were okay. The city view was cool and it was never too loud. I enjoyed staying in the North Tower. I was able to enjoy the breakfast food for two days and have no complaints. I was here for a work conference for 4-nights. The hotel is clean and staff was friendly, but it is a bit dated. I had a great view of downtown Dallas from my 14th floor room. The hotel also serves as a convention center - there were several conferences going on at the same time as mine and it could be a bit crowded. The conference food was very average, but there are a couple of restaurants onsite. Its also a nice location overall. read more

Like many hotels in the DFW area, this is a historic property that has been refurbished/remodeled to some degree. Consequently, the rooms have archaic floor plans, the elevators are scary, and there are historic features like the plastered over Mail Drop slot in the hall. The underground self park has ridiculously small spaces that are waaay outdated for today's huge trucks and SUVs, especially that many people drive in DFW. The lanes and ramps are also far too narrow. Many pillars on the garage have obviously been hit. Seems like the hotel hosts many conventions as part of their business. The hotel staff and housekeeping are friendly, but for some their poor English makes it hard to communicate. There are 2-3 bars, a sports lounge, a nice restaurant, and a Starbucks type coffee shop. However, none are open/offer a traditional American breakfast. The only casual dining option is the sports bar. The area around the hotel is overrun with homeless people and is not safe. Just across the street on our second night there was a five car police call, so something serious must have happened. I walked to get sandwich at lunch one time, but would recommend avoiding walking at night. If you get a good rate and/or have a convention/conference at this hotel, I would recommend staying here and not leaving the property or else driving. Otherwise, try to stay in the arts district where it is only slightly safer or better yet, stay in a suburb and fight the traffic to get into down town for your business. Like most cities, DFW used to be safer even 10 years ago, but things have really declined and become more lawless. read more

Literally here as I'm posting this, Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member means absolutely nothing!!! The simple fact they even have rooms backed up to elevator banks on a building this size is ludicrous, it sounds like a freight train coming thru your room. In addition a family member has epilepsy and we needed to change rooms due to seizures from the noise as guess what? They won't change rooms!?!?! Ever hear is a damn lawsuit idiots!? You have one coming, thanks to your idiot front desk for allowing me to record the entire incident. Continued the next morning with another manager who offered 25,000 Marriott points and the pay for valet parking......AND of course it never materialized, they charged me for valet and didn't post the points to my account. Marriott is a joke and now lo and behold a scam also, nice job, lost another customer that travels 12 months a year. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. The sheets on my bed had bloodstains. I have photos. If there had been ANY OTHER OPTION I would have switched hotels. The hallway and the room reeked of smoke. The bathroom lighting was dim to non-existent. The tub didn't drain. The ice machine in the hallway had been ripped out of the wall. I didn't book this room but was moved here after Marriott overbooked another hotel. Makes me unlikely to ever return to Dallas. read more

Nice hotel, great location in downtown Dallas! Hotel is nice and clean, the entrance gets hectic with vehicles picking and dropping people off, and then there are those huge black fancy Cadillacs and tahoes obstructing most of the entrance making chaotic for other cars to squeeze by and drop/pick people off. Checking in was nice, easy, and quick. I asked lots of questions, they answered them very patiently. The front desk guy was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We booked room with 2 queen size beds. So the front desk asked if we were willing to switch to a 1 king size bed and a sofa-bed and he will credit us $150, so we said, sure! Room is nice, very cool view! And the walk to the KB Convention center is only 15 minutes. Perfect! Or we could use the trolley. read more

I've stayed here twice in the last few months attending conferences and my experience has been pretty much the same each time. The hotel is nice enough, and the staff is friendly enough, but there are so many little things that I just can't get past. First, is the TV. When I stayed here previously, the remote barely worked. One couldn't get to the guide and could only browse channels by flipping one by one. Welcome to 1995. This time, the remote worked, and I could see the guide. However, this is the same technology hotels were using 20-30 years ago. No Netflix, Hulu or other streaming option? Hope you like watching Friends reruns. Second is the lack of drawer space. There is one small nightstand-sized three drawer unit under the TV's table. That's it. There's a nightstand on one side of the bed and it has no drawers. The other side of the bed has this tall lamp with an integrated table and it wobbles so dramatically, one is afraid to use the table at all. Third is the water pressure. Pretty dismal. Next, we have the housekeeping service. I made sure I did not have the privacy tag on the outside of the door and still did not receive service. I had to call - literally - daily to get someone to come clean the room. Also, I stayed there for a week. When staying in a hotel for that long, it's nice to have a microwave in the room to heat leftovers. There's not one in this room. When I called and asked about one, they said they couldn't put microwaves in the rooms because it was a 'fire hazard'. I guess they should call every other hotel I've stayed at in the last 5 years and let them know. I'll probably stay there again if a conference I need to attend is being hosted there, but otherwise, I'll stay somewhere else. read more

Though I am loyal to the Marriott brand and stay in Marriotts most weeks - I rarely stay in Sheratons as they always seem quite frankly grotty! This one was not bad! It's huge and I was here for a conference which it is good for given the size! The lobby is modem, check in was easy though they said my mobile key was ready then removed it as they said there was no credit card on file - it's always there and was on file last week and is for next week both Marriott stays! Room was clean and a good size , bathroom was a bit dated with little surface space to hold make up etc. shower head was in need of a descale with not enough water flow - but at least I had hot water as many of my colleagues did not as well as a lack of heat! Liked the fact that it has Starbucks in the room and a fridge. And good comprehensive TV channel selection. Lounge wins big brownie points - big., spacious, great healthy breakfast options, coffee machine, extensive selection of soft drinks and wine and tbt staff were phenomenal! That is well worth it Their food was not good - catered food left me sick after a small side salad ! Went to their bar - lots of fried food, colleagues had to send wine back as it was off and kale salad had zero kale in it ?' Just lettuce! Lol I came here for a conference and turns out they somehow accidentally didn't book me for the night I arrived in Dallas (but did for all my coworkers). Luckily they fixed that after some discussion with the manager, but I asked if there are any free upgrades to the room I got (a standard room) with a view. I said it was totally okay if not but would really love one and would really appreciate it if I could have a room with one since I've always historically been given a basically dungeon room facing a wall any time I travel anywhere. The receptionist said she'd find something nice for me and said she booked one with a nice view - lol wow either she wasn't paying attention or she was trying to spite me but either way it doesn't feel great. I walk into my room and what do I find? My room is facing a wall. I'm not even kidding guys the view is 2/3 wall - just look at the photos and videos. I just can't accept this dungeon fate. That aside, I explored my room and opened the fridge and what do I find but a previous resident's cup of coffee still in the fridge. How do you know it's not mine? I don't drink coffee lol. The redeeming factor is the hotel itself is okay, and the staff is nice. read more

This was a good choice if you have business in downtown Dallas. It was clean, quiet, and had everything that you need in a hotel. We were on a high-ish floor (maybe 20?), and we had a nice view into the distance. There were a lot of amenities that we never saw, so I can't speak to them. There were also multiple choices for dining, including a regular restaurant and a sports pub. The only downside is the parking situation. They must really want you to use their valet, but we wanted self parking. The elevator in the garage is really old and mislabeled. It is very confusing how to get to the hotel because there is no signage at all. We saw a skybridge, but we tried multiple floors and the doors to where the skybridge would be were all locked. Maybe you can only use it during conventions, but it was all just a mystery. We ended up having to lug our stuff across the street and jaywalk, but luckily it was a weekend, so there wasn't much traffic. Still, this does not seem optimal. In the end, we were not charged for parking, so I guess it was a wash, but I don't think it was worth the $35 or whatever they might normally charge. read more

The overall review is a "3" for this hotel from the public, but I honestly had a 5-star experience, and it definitely exceeded expectations of a 4-star hotel. I've stayed at a few 4-star hotels before and this was probably the best one yet. I had to fly to Dallas for business and I'm usually not a fan of getting a hotel near the city or downtown but I came when the Rangers were hosting the World Series, so I was forced to get it near the city where the rates were cheaper. This Sheraton is HUGE and it appears from other people talking that this hotel is mainly used for business as it has huge conference rooms and many many rooms. My stay was from Thursday - Sunday and I arrived a little late on Thursday and the front staff was more than friendly explaining many things about the hotel along with the amenities. I didn't use a car this time but it looks like valet parking is $31/night. The hotel is HUGE - it has over 40 floors and I had the honor of staying at a king bedroom on the 16th floor. I got a pretty nice view of the city and the room was very clean. There was housekeeping daily so I would come back to my room all tidied and amenities replenished. The bathrooms were also clean and it was a walk-in shower which is always nice. There are a few restaurants and bars in the lobby as well as a convenience store so you can really get everything you need. There is also a rooftop pool and a fitness center on the 4th floor that I wasn't able to check out. I ordered Uber Eats twice during the trip.. and there is an Uber Eats dropoff area in the lobby so you don't need to meet them outside the hotel. On my last night, it looked like there was a big wedding going on so traffic was a little crazy but despite that it wasn't too bad for me. Overall -- for a 4-star hotel, I was really impressed. My encounters with all the employees were super friendly and everything seemed well taken-care of. Sheratons sometimes don't have the best rep, but I was impressed and I honestly would use this hotel in the future should I need to come back to Dallas. read more

Came into Dallas for a 2 night stay. Check in was easy, though my employer paid for the hotel stay and I used my personal credit card for incidentals. I used the app to check out and never received an email receipt. I did find a week after return from our trip, I was charged for the room in full. Not too big of an issue, but I now have to expense this. Their elevators are a little messy as well but staff did a great job of explaining you have to get into the Tower 5 elevator bank. Elevator had Lobby, floors 3 and 4, then I believe the next available floor was 19. A little odd, but like I said, explained well and we were able to get to our floor on the first try. Ate dinner at the Sports Bar, service and food were excellent. Large portions, tasty drinks and lots of TV to watch the NBA Finals from many different angles. Patrick, he greeted us as we checked out. Not sure exactly what his position is, but he was such a pleasure spending time with as we waited for our uber. He made sure we had our trip set up to get back to the airport, was just a wonderful person to share time with as our trip was coming to a close. Also, Ron served us a tasty fruit punch set up near the lobby. Room was clean, the toiletries proivided were nice. I didn't use the shampoo/conditioner but the liquid soap and body wash were nice. 3 bottles of water provided free of charge. Coffee pot was nice, I bring my own tea so no issues making tea. Many USB outlets for charging. Beds were comfortable, the desk area was nice. We were on the 22nd floor, great lightening storm from our bedroom window. Checked out the gym, large with lots of options for working out (open 24 hours.) Great spaces for events, many different ballrooms well equiped for large parties. The market also well equiped with snacks and emergency tolietries. Last but not least, a very short $9ish uber ride downtown with many restuarants and hot spots. The only negative (other than the check in credit card debacle,) was the low water pressure. Shower temp was fine, but I was surprised by the low pressure. read more

The not so good: Pretty old hotel. The carpets and overall vibe pretty dated. Normal prices pretty high and doesn't include parking/ breakfast. Room had 2 queens and maybe they were....but definitely felt like full beds. I was in Dallas for a convention and work was paying for the hotel, so why not the Sheraton in Downtown Dallas, right? It is a nice hotel, and I was in a room on the 32nd floor, an upgrade from what I had originally requested with my reservation. While the view wasn't all that great, I did have a bit of a view out to the Southeast across the city. The room was comfortable, and the amenities were solid for a hotel in the middle of a large city. Parking was expensive, which is kind of sad, but as work was paying for that as well, I wasn't too concerned about it. The only issue I had with parking is that they are not prepared nor trained for dealing with someone that arrives on a motorcycle. The staff simply had no idea where I should park or what I should really do. I eventually figured it out on my own, but having a little training on that would be good. I didn't get to use the pool as it was somewhat chilly out, but I did check out the exercise areas and other facilities that the hotel has, and they are good. The hotel also has a couple of different restaurants to choose from, which gives you some decent variety, and there are a number of different places within easy walking distance from the hotel if you want something a bit more fancy. read more

Our upcoming SKO reminded me that I needed to give this review for last SKO (Sales Kick Off) Sheraton experience earlier this year. Most all of my coworkers had to travel in from our Headquarter office located in MD, I drove from my house :0/ I arrived right at the check-in time 3:00 pm only to be told that none of our rooms would be ready due to a cheerleading convention! smh Most of my co-workers had to mingle amongst our VP's and even CEO in their travel gear consisting of sweat pants and T-Shirts. 7 to 8 hours later we finally were able to check into our rooms most at 11 PM only to get a few hours of sleep before breakfast and a full day of meetings starting at 7 am. This Sheraton is by far the worst, they want to hurdle you in like cows so you can hurry up and wait for hours while taking your money! AND all the while over book! read more

I stayed at the hotel for my birthday week! Yasir, was very accommodating and I truly appreciate him for that. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. So, why a four and not a five? Parking!!! I stayed at the Sheraton Dallas hotel back in mid September 2023 as I was here for a conference. There are some good things to this hotel but a lot of bad. Let me go over both: Good: 1) Rooms were comfortable and clean. 2) Plenty of choices to eat within the hotel. There is a full service restaurant, a sports bar, a more laid back speak easy type bar, a gift shop with snacks, and a convenience store with coffee bar. 3) Lots of restaurant choices near the hotel, it is centrally located. 4) Staff works hard. 5) Conference area is large, spacious and comfortable. 6) The food/drinks during the conference was delicious! 7) The food/service in the hotel restaurants/bars is very good. 8) Hotel Gym is huge Bad: 1) Hotel Pool is billed as a roof top pool... it sort of is... technically but its on the roof of the 4th floor of one of the towers, not the highest one which is what your made to think. 2) Hotel Pool is tiny. Considering the conferences that come here, not enough for even regular people staying. 3) Pigeons... so many flying rats walking on the pool area, the chairs, and dipping their heads into the pool. My skin crawled with the thought and I refused to go in. 4) Water pressure from the shower heads left much to be desired 5) Food in restaurants is a bit overpriced 6) Conference area had a lot of problems with the mens restroom facilities. 4 of the sinks were out of order, several of the bathroom stall doors did not close right. The staff cleaning the bathrooms hit the doors hard sometimes opening the doors through force, and i do not appreciate it when I am in there. 7) Safety when immediately outside. My boss goes jogging in the morning and he felt unsafe doing it. He said just a few blocks out he turned around saying... nope going back... guy is a retired cop fyi. 8) Elevators have issues. One of my buddies who attended the conference got stuck in an elevator and needed to be gotten out by fire department. Think the conference would have been better if it would have picked another hotel. There are some good things to this location, but the negatives outweigh them. read more

Stayed here recently for 3 nights for a work conference...it was quite nice! Granted I stayed here for free since my work paid for it, otherwise it would've been about $275/night. At my low end six figure income level I'd look for a cheaper hotel, but from a work perspective: PROS: -Large clean, spacious room and bathroom -Comfy supportive beds -Large LCD TV -Refridgerator -Mostly quiet room, it was located by the freeway -Friendly staff -Catering services made delicious buffets for breakfast and lunch -Walking distance to several restaurants, Dallas Museum of Art, and more CONS: -Expensive! For me at least! -$25 Parking -Large confusing campus, signage needs to be improved as to where to find certain conference rooms. Thankfully the staff know. -Open Palette restaurant serves small food portions at high hotel prices. I'd happily stay here again if work pays for it! Otherwise I'm too poor to afford to stay here. read more

I stayed at Sheraton Dallas from Sunday - Thursday for a work conference. I got a huge room with 2 Queens beds with a fantastic view of the city. The bed was comfortable but the shower could be a bit stronger. It seems there were many business conferences going on right before and after my stay so this hotel was quite busy. Even though the conference included most of my meals here, I was able to make use of the lounge during my stay with Marriott status. It came in handy when I was craving some drinks and snacks at the end of the day. I got to make use of the gym 2x and it was not crowded at all. I only used the elliptical and it serves the purpose for me. My key card did not let me into the gym, but a worker was very nice and kept attempting to help me. Eventually I had to use a different door, but I appreciate the help. I also had an issue with connecting the Wifi to my work laptop during my stay. I am not sure if it was the firewall on my laptop. However, the concierge guided me to a special IT direct line and they helped me out right away. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many mixed reviews. The hotel is huge, mostly updated, with great spaces for lounging and entertainment. Staff were very friendly and responsive. Rooms were clean. Only draw backs were the beds were not the most comfortable, but not terrible, and it is centered around the business district, so there isnt much to do close by in short walking distance. read more

I stayed in this hotel for five days for an event since it was the conference hotel and was pretty disappointed for this being a 4-star hotel. I didn't get any sleep for the first few nights of my stay because I was placed right next the the elevator room which was way loud. Then on the second night, a noisy neighbor was yelling and slamming doors until 5 a.m. Though I called down to guest services and they said they'd send someone up, I don't think they ever did. The walls were also so thin that when their alarm went off, I heard it. The rooms were also not what I expected. There was hair all over my bathroom and the shower head was disgusting. My bed sheets were also ripped, there was no fitted sheet used and the duvet was sandwiched between two flat sheets instead of having a cover. I've never seen anything like that. The foods were okay albeit overpriced. Needed a little more seasoning to me and the burger/roast I had was a bit dry. There were crickets everywhere during my stay and while waiting for the elevator, I saw a roach. And the wifi was terrible!! I couldn't check my email without being kicked off. I couldn't wait to leave. read more

I booked a one night stay here because I was attending a concert that evening. It's in a great location, less than 3 minute walk to DART, great amenities offered and you can valet or self-park in the garage across the way from the hotel. I chose to self-park, you use your room key to get in and out. Check in was smooth, room was spacious and nice views for what I paid. However, I rated this hotel 3 stars bc of 2 things: 1. In the bathroom they have drinking glasses for you to use and they were both dirty. One had lipstick still on it which makes me wonder if they even cleaned the other glass. Was grossed out after that 2. When you flush the toilet, the water from the toilet bowl splashes back out at you. I did the contactless check out option where you drop your room key in the designated box and they email your final bill. I have yet to receive an invoice and whenever I call, I either get disconnected by the customer service agent or I can't get through at all. read more
