When I pulled up to this Sheraton I was blown away by the outside. Its beautiful! It really looks like a castle. When I went into the lobby I was still pretty excited. The lobby was nice, there is a restaurant that is open for breakfast and dinner. The staff were really nice and friendly. Now the room... It left a lot to be desired. I was beyond disappointed. It really needed a complete overhaul/ update. The dust was visible on all the countertops. For as nice as the rest of the hotel was, I was seriously disappointed. Im not sure if I will be returning to this location or not. I will make sure when in town next to check reviews to see if any updates have been made.

My recent stay at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in NJ was extremely disappointing. At check-in, the front desk associate (young woman with curly hair, no name tag) rushed through the process and seemed more focused on her phone than assisting guests. I asked about my breakfast voucher and was told I could simply show my paperwork in the morning. That turned out to be incorrect. The next morning, I was told very rudely that I needed a physical voucher card. The staff member overseeing breakfast was dismissive and unprofessional, making an already frustrating situation worse. The most concerning issue, however, was finding a bed bug in my bed the following day. I immediately reported it to the front desk and was again assisted by the same associate, who said my information would be documented and gave me the manager Kenny's contact information. Despite multiple calls, I initially received no response. When I finally did reach Kenny, he had no idea who I was or what had happened, which raises serious concerns about communication and guest safety. Between the poor customer service, misinformation, lack of follow-up, and serious cleanliness concerns, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Horrible - I mean HORRIBLE online experience. Booked a room because of a family event. Hotel from the outside is spectacular. Not so much from the inside. My wife and I agreed it felt 'OLD'. Hotel is humongous, basement gym and pool look new but still couldn't escape 'need a facelift' kind of feeling.

Nice "Marriott" option in this area of NJ. I have tried many that are near Drew University and FDU - this is top 3 (along with Hanover Marriott and Westin Gov Morris). No M lounge as most Sheratons don't so no surprise - still get breakfast in restaurant if have status. Rooms nice size and a/c works well. Will stay here again.

Not a bad room on the 6th floor

I've been here a few times when visiting customers out in NJ. This hotel seems to have always been under some renovation project, and it still is. Concierge lounge isn't open but they provided breakfast downstairs. Rooms were great, the castle-ish style is unique, rate is fair and the location is convenient.

For such a beautiful exterior, the interior needs updating. Upon arrival, I was told that the club lounge was not open (?) however I could still pay almost 200$ and be on the club floor- and the benefit would be .... 2 waters in my room ( per front desk associate) The room was dark & the HVAC system was extremely loud. So much so that I turned it off before I went to bed because it was louder than the TV! It was an extremely small bathroom and they must put water softener in the water because after a shower I felt very slimy! There were a a Hyatt Place about 1/4 mile away -so that's my go to for next time! No thank you Sheraton!

An impressive place to stay However here are my complaints: Only 2 towels in the bathroom - I asked for 2 more They brought them to our room reasonably fast The 2 little plastic creamers for coffee were old and not fresh so I drank my coffee without any cream I found out by pouring some of the cream in - not a good result The A/C was kind of noisy - I set the temp pretty high but it was generally chilly in the room - it never got very warm The blankets were not very warm in my opinion I could not connect to the WiFi Parking - you'll have a bit of a walk from your car to the lobby It's definitely an above average hotel Otherwise it's a great place to stay

I have stayed here in the past and was never a big fan and to say it has gotten worse is an understatement. Only stayed here as my usual Marriott was booked. From the outside it looks like cute castle but in reality it's more the type of. Astor that is tight out if a horror movie !! Arrived to a pitch black parking lot and no one about to help. Rotating doors stick and are hard to open and trim is all tarnished. Lobby is massive and just a huge empty space. Eerily silent. Very few amenities- no lounge available for Platinum or above. Just an old outdated shop. Thank God I had picked up water at the airport. Restaurant has mainly unhealthy pub type food! Hallways to room are dirty and outdated with worn carpet covered in stains. Dark brown - carpet, walls, it's dark and badly in in need of an upgrade. Feels again like you are in a horror movie. Room was large but again dated with brown walls and brown carpet, stains, mattress is so soft and you sink into it. Like it's years old!! Checked for bedbugs based on their reviews and found a left over antibacterial wound spray bottle on the mattress base Room was too warm as you just cannot use the AC unless you have earplugs - it's so loud so it makes the stay unbearable. And even after I turned it off so I could get some sleep - it tuned itself back on again even though the wall controller clearly showed off!! Bathroom has a few worn down towels and mish mash of amenities that looked like leftovers from another guest as they were from various brands. Fridge in room was unplugged so was useless first 14 hours! Basically old and run down, very little in way of amenities! Was so glad my usual hotel opened back up for my next visit !!

I was there for a weekend event. I would recommend. The hotel is old but clean. The service was good. Although it is huge it felt intimate.

This place is a dump. Broken room windows, requested maintenance many times. Had to put towels to block some of the draft.

The hotel is old; the latest updates seemed like they were from 10-20 years ago. If you stand near the window, you can feel cold air seeping through the cracks (1 star off). The staff is friendly, but no one brings up anything if you need anything. I got a paper cut and needed a Band-Aid, and was told to go down to the front desk to get it myself. I guess it was a good thing that I did not have a more severe injury? I am not a prima donna, so that was fine. Cleaning crew turns down the thermostat to 64F after servicing your room. I guess they don't know that the windows are seeping cold air and guests want the thermostat up. They really should not be adjusting the room temperature during cleaning though. If you are looking for a no-frills hotel in the area, this is a good choice.

We worked primarily with KeriAnn to help coordinate for the weekend of our wedding and she was so thorough and detail oriented. She was incredibly communicative and made sure we went through all the nuances of our wedding weekend with a fine toothed comb. The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, modern & spacious. We used Gathering Room 1 & 2 the day of the wedding for myself & the bridal party to get ready in with the hair and makeup artists which was more than enough space to accommodate everyone. We were able to access the space early in the morning and the hotel even provided a complimentary hotel room next door for us to use to store our stuff, use the restroom and take photos in. The staff was great about passing out hotel room bags to our guests, putting together signage for our shuttle, and trying their best to accommodate early check-ins when they could. We opted to have an after party and were able to keep the bar open that was private for just our guests which was the best way to end the night with our family & friends. Raj was an incredibly attentive & friendly bartender. We had nothing but a positive experience here and will continue to recommend it to other couples who may be looking for a room block for their wedding weekends!

Note: This rating would be lower but Hilton support came through for our group and made the…read moresituation right. It took about one month to resolve everything, however. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany has serious heating/cooling problems and you need to be aware of that before booking here. Came here for an event and left with one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany is easy to access and has plenty of parking, but you do have to pay for parking. I want to say this before I go further, the hotel staff were not really the problem here, it's the whole property as the building and rooms are out of date. Check-in went badly, as while they did have my reservation, they could not check me in even with downloading the app. Corporate helpdesk even had problems when the employees called about my reservation. Basically, my reservation had to be deleted and remade, and this whole process from start to finish took around an hour, and it was frustrating. The interior of this hotel is iconic. The atrium is full of trees, plants, fountains, and stone walkways. It is very visually appealing, and I cannot stress that enough, with a large amount of natural light coming in from all the windows. This design caused one of the biggest problems of the weekend sadly, as the heating/cooling plant could not keep up with the high temperature's outside. The interior of this hotel was shockingly warm all weekend, and very much affected our event experience. On top of that, the pool was closed for renovations, so you couldn't even go for a swim to cool off. For the rooms, they were suites with a nice amount of square footage. The beds were comfortable, but the whole room looked like it had not been upgraded in roughly a decade based on the wear and tear and what TVs are provided. Room did come with a larger mini-fridge and microwave. Because of the oppressive heat outside, our rooms heating/cooling basically did not work all weekend, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom due to its design and shower curtain could easily flood the floor. Our mini-fridge was dirty on the inside with some sort of spill I cleaned up using disinfectant I brought along. One sink had major calcium deposit that I could not remove. It was also dark in the room unless you opened both the atrium facing and outside facing curtains. Our room was disappointing for the most part due to the heat. The complimentary breakfast was ok, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, various grains, pastries, coffee, juice, soda, and an omelet bar. Event space is somewhat limited depending on your needs, and you might have to be creative with setups. Overall, this hotel was massively disappointing and I cannot recommend staying here at the $150-$200 price point. The iconic look of the atrium is the only reason to stay here and you should otherwise avoid the Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany unless absolutely necessary.

Our room was passable, but the bathroom was disgusting. The the tub was corroded at the drain overflow, the drain itself was broken (not that I would ever have bathed in this tub) and the non-slip surface was completely worn away. The air conditioner was either ice cold or off. The pool area is disgusting and the hot tub is closed permanently. We will never, ever patronize any Embassy Suites again. Don't take my word for it, take a look at the pictures.

One nit, the wall in the shower was cracked and the hotel at night during my one night stay had a motorcycle that rev'd his engine at 5am outside my window. Otherwise it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is served in the lobby, and while it was busy with people - the server made sure everyone had what they needed, and that everything was reloaded for service when running low. When I was looking for a hotel in the area I did a bit of research and learned this homewood was recently renovated. The lobby is very nice and inviting along with the light color furniture selection and window detailing in the rooms. Homewood hotels always have a more spacious layout since they include kitchens and a living room area in either a studio or bedroom format. There is also a basketball court outside, an indoor pool, and 2 pelotons in the gym (per my coworker) for those that want to remain active during their stay. There is also onsite parking which I hear costs money from other reviews and I was not told that so waiting for that bill to come through... Now for the lack of cleanliness... I walked up to my room and there were 2 lady bugs right by my room number. I walked in my room and there was one on the wall. Since ladybugs can be an infestation, I figured switching rooms would not fix this. It was also late and I didn't feel like running around town to find another place to stay. Upon settling into the room I started finding hair in various places of all color... brown, blond, black, curly, wavy, and straight. My coffee table had a sticky spot on it, clearly not wiped throughly. There were brown/black spots on the ceiling and cabinets. I found a random pair of socks in the stairwell on my last morning as I was leaving. Also the cherry on the cake... my shower took FOREVER to heat up, to the point I thought it wasn't working. I made up my mind that I would suck it up and take a cold shower then check out first thing since I was exhausted and didn't feel like getting dressed and packing. Luckily as I was rushing to take my shower it started to get a little warmer and finally on the verge of hot, so I decided to stay another night and letting it run for 10 minutes before getting in (I would be pissed at this water bill if it were my actual home). Didn't remove a star for this but I do wish there were more takeaway options for breakfast like fruit. I grabbed a yogurt which worked but maybe some hotels are not doing fresh fruit anymore to minimize waste? I'll be staying here again soon since for longer trips my coworkers and I tend to need a kitchen to cook fresh meals (I hear the knives suck and my coworker bought her own) so I'll see if I just got a bad room or if the lack of cleanliness and lady bugs is consistent....

However, what really rubbed me the wrong way was being charged $15 PER NIGHT for parking WITHOUT BEING TOLD! We checked in, and were asked if we had a car. Naturally we said yes, and were handed a little tag to hand on our windshield. At no point were we told there was a charge for parking, nor did it state as much on the aforementioned tag. Several of my friends who checked in with us had a similar experience. Even if we were appropriately informed that we would have to pay, it's nonetheless a ridiculous policy. The only time I've ever had to pay for parking at a hotel like this was in the heart of major cities such as Manhattan or Chicago, not rural New Jersey!! Considering the rooms are disproportionately expensive as it is, making guests pay for parking is corporate greed at its worst. Additionally, my wife and I left our room at 9:00am to attend a nearby wedding. We got back to the hotel around midnight, only to find that our room had not been cleaned. It was very disappointing. Lastly, a friend of hours who was also staying in the hotel had called the front desk to request extra linens. The response? "Come down and get them." Like I said, the lobby was very clean and the breakfast was great, but having to pay for parking in an area like this is ludicrous. What made it even worse was the deception.

The nearest elevator was a single elevator (not a bank of elevators), and it went out twice during our 4-day stay! Our room was spacious - felt very tired but it did have a white duvet cover, which is appreciated, and it did feel clean. Staff at the front desk didn't know the status of the elevators or what events were happening at the hotel. Strange that the hotel charges for parking. When we were there, their very large parking lot had tons of open spaces. I get an urban property charging when space is limited, but this seemed odd. Why not add it into the hotel charge? Again overall we liked the Hilton better than the other hotel nearby that we've stayed at. Our search continues for a Northern NJ hotel near to family with a solid gym. But if we stay in Parsippany again, we'll choose this over the other, more tired options.

It seemed nice at first, but upon entry it felt like a sauna! I went out and got dinner and figured fit just needed time to cool down since it was much hotter than usual. After coming back, I noticed the temperature hadn't changed. I alerted the desk upon on my way to work out to let them know. When I got done from working out, I noticed it still hadn't changed so I asked them again and then sent someone up. He deconstructed the unit and gave me the "VIP" temperature, which unlocks it to go past 65. He said he put it at 60 and said it'll cool down in 10 mins. Now, while he was giving his spiel, he specifically said something about the hot water being off. I asked if that meant I wouldn't have hot water for my shower and he said no because they were separate units. I beg to differ. Once he left, I hopped in the shower and surprise surprise, no hot water. It wasn't even lukewarm. Not to mention, it never cooled down and I woke up sweating. I alerted them in the morning what went on and asked if I could switch rooms. The attendant said she'd award me 5,000 points for my trouble and gave me a new room. The first thing I did was check the shower to make sure the water was hot, and it was. I noticed the air felt the same as it did in my other room so I let them know on my way to breakfast. I came back and saw it hadn't changed. I told them again on my way to workout. Came back and same thing. When I went back, the attendant said the repairman closed out the ticket but she could send him back. The man came back to the room and you could tell he was pissed to be there. His tone was dismissive and after explaining what happened he said, "we fixed everything. You need to sit here for a while and you'll see." Oh ok, pal. I guess I'm a child now. I said thanks and he left. While the new room eventually got cooler, it was the principal and tone behind the matter. I wouldn't be raising a fuss if there wasn't merit behind my concern. If you're ok with mediocre service, this is the hotel for you. I won't be back. Update: 3/19/2026- I never got the points that they said they'd give me.
