    Sausage and cheese omlet

Nice little old school diner that's been in town for years it's good old school diner food. The waitress are very friendly and talkative sometimes to the point of annoying but it's ok. I ordered the sausage and cheese omelett it was ok a bit dry and bland but it filled me up

"Spanish omelette" - just scrambled egg with a bunch of soggy, thickly cut ingredients thrown on top

Sherban's is a disgrace to the sanctity of Jersey diners. I do not understand how people continue to patron this establishment. We tried it for the first time today, and wow. First, the decor was endearing and we were excited to be in such a classic diner atmosphere. We were hyped to eat a quality jersey diner breakfast. Then we met our waitress who barked at us like we were her grandchildren causing trouble. The food was disappointing because we honestly cook a better breakfast at home. I ordered French toast with fruit-- and was promptly told it's not really fruit, it's fruit topping (like the kind you'd put on ice cream). I'm glad she told me, I ordered plain French toast instead. How can you not have fresh fruit for waffles/french toast???? Cheap. My boyfriend ordered a Spanish omelet and asked for bacon to be added into it. She promptly told him no, she'd put the bacon on the side of my French toast because it would cost less and she was "doing us a favor". But he wanted it IN the omelette. So we quickly realized you don't actually get to order what you want here. Side note: while she was bringing my hot chocolate a coworker bumped her and it made a mess of the hot chocolate all over the dish. There was hardly any whipped cream especially after it spilled. But that's what they gave me. It tasted fine (the best thing we had tbh). Then our food came and oh lord. Look at that "omelette". It's scrambled eggs with huge chunks of pepper onion SALSA? (Menu said tomatoes) and some surprise mushrooms. It was all just laid on top of the eggs. That's not an omelette. And the bacon was just thrown on top of all of it. French toast was so buttery and soggy, really tasted like someone's grandparent cooked it. And if that was the case fine but I'm paying money for this! I can make it better myself! Disappointed. Our favorite diner had fire damage so we continue to look for a temporary replacement. Sherban's ain't it.

Was supposed to be strawberries but looks like strawberry jam instead.

Standard, decent breakfast. I thought the pancakes were pretty nice. Coffee is a waste, skip it. Service was very good.

My guest had an equally delicious Corn Beef sandwich that she couldn't finish because of the size of it so she took it home.

After our ophthalmologist visit and hanging out at a Costco nearby and reading the reviews, we…read moredecided to come here. We were immediately seated after arriving. The restaurant is small and comfy, with 4-seat tables lined up against one wall and the opposite wall being taken up by a counter and counter seats. Pictures of food hang on both walls and four brown ceiling fans hang from the ceiling. The restaurant's color scheme is very "latte", as the main colors are white and beige and only one part of the wall is red. Daughter ordered the fried flounder with 2 over easy eggs and grits with wheat bread. She said that the fish was nicely fried and crunchy. It didn't need tartar or cocktail sauce. She said it was her first time eating a breakfast item like this and her taste buds had never felt this sensation before. LOL. Hubs ordered the pinto con chorizo with sunny side up eggs. The server warned him that the sausage was spicy, but he didn't care. When we came here, Hubs didn't expect Hispanic food for brunch and was so surprised and so happy. He found the first item that he can see and translate and was happy he did. The chorizo had a nice spunk to it. He was happy that he got rice and beans instead of home fries and what a delightful change! The chips were also nice and crispy. Lastly, I had waffles with mixed fruit. I LOVED my waffles because it was nice and crunchy. The mixed fruit were bananas, strawberries, grapes and blueberries. They were a nice touch. I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. Coffee was freshly brewed and it was nice and strong. It wasn't ordinary diner coffee. Hubs was happy about getting his cup refilled. Service was fast and really friendly. The waiter was always smiling. Parking is street parking. When we were there, it was free parking. Neighborhood was a bit sketchy, though. We were thinking of checking out the flea market across the street but changed our minds. Glad we got to try this place! Maybe one day, we'll be back.

Soooo yummy!!! I love the waffles. This place really hit the spot and everyone there is so kind.read more
