I can not tell you how amazingly proud I am to see customer service at such a high level. We turned my wife's vehicle in because of a couple recalls. While they had the vehicle, my wife's father passed away. Not only did they offer to bring the vehicle to us but the words and comforting they provided during this exhausting time meant more to us than anything else. I would leave zero stars, but 1 is the minimum. The service department at this dealer is either dishonest, or they don't know anything about vehicles. My mother-in-law had been taking her Traverse to get checked for three years due to some torque converter shake while the car was under warranty, and they "couldn't find anything wrong" for 3 years. Now the traverse is stranded 3 hours from home with a shredded transmission. What was a couple hundred dollar repair has changed to $5300 and no longer covered by warranty. I will never do business with this dealer again, and you shouldn't either. read more

I'm not sure why, but oil changes and tire rotations now are taking forever. They tell you to make an appointment, but even with an appointment an oil change can have you waiting for over 2 hours. We had an appointment for 9:30. We got there just a little bit early and checked in. They got the keys and the car sat in the service driveway for over 30 min. The oil change and rotation took well over 2 hours. I'm actually writing this at 11:50am and my car still isn't done... This is the second time in a row that it's taken this long. Update at 12:26pm. I want to share my experience with Sherman Chevrolet. I did take a few days to think about the experience so I was not giving my review just purely off emotions. I ordered a new 2023 Camaro SS on March 27th of 2023. The sales person and I agreed that I would pay MSRP for the vehicle as long as I did the financing through the dealership and did not refinance for 6 months. I agreed and we shook hands. The communication was good throughout the ordering process. I was even able to make a couple of changes to the order a couple of weeks later. Everything was great until we were going over the paperwork at the time of pickup. The rep said that we agreed on the price being MSRP of the vehicle which is correct. This is where the experience went down, the rep then pulls out a paper with what extras they added onto the car without my permission. They added a Ceramic Coating for $1500 along with a couple of other items that I was able to get them to remove. I was told the Ceramic Coating was already applied and they would not take this off. I was very upset because I had already planned to do a paint correction and then do the Ceramic Coating myself. I was just told that was the way it is and that's they could not do anything about it. I go ahead and sign the paperwork as I had been waiting for this car for 4 months and been planning the order for over a year and know that I could not get what I wanted easily. I get home under the correct lighting and I notice that they left sticker residue on the front fenders by the hood. They were the same as a rectangle sticker outline. I then notice that they left water spots on the car when washing and I could not get them off even with mild cleaner for paint. They appear to be under the Ceramic Coating. I tried to get the sticker residue off and I was able to apply some mild cleaner and the residue came off. I do not understand how it was able to come off if the Ceramic Coating was applied correctly. I now have my dream car and I have orange peel, water spots, and scratches that look like they were from when they washed the car. In summery, I would have appreciated them at least being up front about the Ceramic Coating and not waiting until I was there to pick up the vehicle. I could have inspected the car and seen that the paint was good and then had them apply the Ceramic Coating. They turned a great day to a very frustrating day and I was considering walking away. The Ceramic Coating is only to be applied if they properly wash and decontaminate the paint on the car. Any minor particles in the paint can put the scratches in the clear coat. Update: Dealership did not refund the Ceramic Coating but they did correct the issues. The person that really impressed me was Fallon in the Service Department she was on top of it and kept me updated. She showed that she cares and wanted to make it right. I recently purchased a vehicle via cash from this dealership that i had located online. When we picked up the vehicle our salesman was not there but told us Brandon would take care of us. Brandon rushed us, refused to wash the car after I signed the dotted line even though initially told me he would, and left me with an empty tank of gas, great service right? Now I finally washed the car and I notice there is damage on the front bumper and it's pushed in. I go back and look at the photos to see if it was there prior to my purchase, and it sure as hell was. Their records didn't indicate any damages and showed a carfax with no accidents. I reach out and provide proof it was there prior to me taking it off the lot and they agree but the sales manager Ryan Roberts says, well you bought a used vehicle sorry nothing we will do, you should have seen it and said something. If there was damage they should notify the consumer before purchasing, I'm not a car expert, and it's not something that stands out when the car isn't clean which they refused to do. I asked for the advertising photos and somehow no one can provide the proof it was there when they took it and showed in the advertised photos for sale. No one can prove when they put the sticker on the vehicle the amount included a reduction for damage, but they tell me they consider all those factors, but had that been considered it should be disclosed to the consumer. I will make sure every opportunity I get I will let everyone know how this business is ran, that is sneaky, unprofessional, and false advertising. BEWARE!! photos they use on their website to advertise their vehicles are not accurate and per their manager if there is damage when they take it in on their lot, they supposedly consider in sales price before they lost it but wont let the consumer know. NEVER BUY FROM HERE!! I am now the consumer that was never made aware the front bumper was pushed in and out of alignment. I'm not the car expert they are, but shame on me ive learned my lesson, next time ill try and find a body man to go with me to buy the vehicle, now im driving a $64000 vehicle with damage! Purchased a warranty on my vehicle from them. I traded that vehicle in July. I was due a refund for that warranty. I went to the dealership twice and filled the refund paperwork out. I never got a refund check. Finally, I called the warranty company and got the paperwork myself. I filled it out and emailed it to finance. I got a call saying the check had been mailed. A couple of weeks later, I called to see where the check was, and accounting sent it to the wrong address. I filled my paperwork out with the correct information on it, they still mailed it to the wrong addres. Still haven't got a refund from the dealership. I've called multiple times and emailed. No response from any department. It's now November, and I traded my vehicle in July, Went to the dealership for the first time in August to complete the refund paperwork. The refund was a couple thousand dollar. Still waiting on a response. I've bought 4 vehicles from this dealership in the past but after this won't buy another one from them. read more

Bad treatment of the customer, shoddy workmanship! I have spent considerable money at the service department of Ramey Chevrolet, and now I am having to redo what I already paid a lot of money for. The latest is a power steering pump, that I had Ramey replace several years ago. It went out, again, so, I called the service department several days ago, and they were unable to find anything about it, or me either. Finally, after I insisted that I was a long time customer, the service department, located my name, but could not find anything else. So, I gave up on that, and bought a lifetime warranted unit from Autozone for $60. It has become an extremely tough job to take the old one off, because the bolts have been put on extremely tight, etc. So, over and over again, I find that as a customer, I find the treatment to be abominable. Another time, I brought my truck in, because it was carboning up, etc. The problem soon returned, and I found that the idle set screw was turned all the way in. So, I completely removed it, and that fixed all of that. I spent lots of money at Ramey to fix that also. So, I have been burned to say the least, and I am unlikely to be the only one! read more

I hope the owner of this dealership reads this review! Also made a few calls to Cadillac Corporate Office! My review for Sherman Chevrolet Cadillac Dealership! I am not one to write a bad review, but I think consumers need to be aware of what happened to us Last Friday afternoon. We were looking for a midsize SUV. So I had picked two vehicles I wanted to try the GMC Acadia (which was at another dealership) and a Cadillac XT6. My husband called the Cadillac house on Thursday to let them we would be over there Friday afternoon and asked Blake the "new car salesman" to have the XT6 pulled out and ready for me to look at due to my health condition. I cannot run all over the lot. Of course the first thing they wanted to know is what we would be trading in which was a 2019 Black Cadillac CTS-V with 3.6 twin turbocharged engine with 18,000 miles on the vehicle (Not a piece of junk and NOT my first Cadillac.) Well the first XT6 we looked at did not have the technology package I wanted. So Blake went and pulled keys for few more XT6s. One of the XT6s was parked in front so could not be pulled out. We walked out and was looking and when started to question the major difference in prices Blake had no answers. During all this a rain storm hit and the bottom fell out. He jumps out of the vehicle and looks at us and said make a run for it. ! I cannot run! Especially at this point because my body is done. Blake never offered to bring an umbrella to me and when I finally got out of the rain SEVERAL salesmen where standing there laughing at me because by this point I looked like a drowned rat. My husband turned to Blake and told him we were done today and work the numbers. They FINALLY looked at my car and we headed back home. Then Blake called with a crazy number and told us we could ONLY finance through them. We already had our third party financing ready, but they would not accept it. My husband told them they were not even close. Saturday morning we get a phone call from Blake and OMG the car price had dropped, but once again we HAD to finance through them. But we had already made our mind up when we pulled off the lot Friday evening we would NEVER step a toe back on that lot. First, learn good customer service if you know you have a customer with health problems DO NOT stand there laughing at them trying to get out of a rain storm. Be a decent human and offer an umbrella! Second, get your numbers right and quit trying to pad the numbers to get the vehicle back to the original MSRP. There are NO discounts. Third, you will not walk in with third party financing and leave with a car. And our third party financing is a very small credit union, to dealerships it is like walking in with CASH! And they were not having it. But my biggest disappointment was the car salesmen laughing at me trying to get out of the rain. I was soaked to the bone along with my husband that never left my side. I came home and have been sick in bed since Friday night! 10 out of 10 would NOT be going again. read more

Just bought a 2006 Corvette from them. Overall the buying experience was good. Didn't feel pressured at all, and everyone was friendly. Didn't give me as much as some other dealerships said they could get me for my trade-in, but those were not finalized offers from the other dealerships either. The Corvette I bought has been highly modified for performance, they haven't yet put it on their website yet because it had just come in. With a modified car you never know what your going to get into. I don't necessarily blame the dealership as they probably didn't even inspect a car this highly modified, but since I bought it as is with no warranty offered the problems I had the first day after buying it are on me. Took a road trip the evening after buying it. On the way home the car went into reduced engine power, check engine light is on and I had to limp the car home at 40mph. Next day the light was off and everything was fine. Drove it around to see if the light would come back on so I could pull the codes. Stopped somewhere, car was difficult to get out of park, and now will only go in drive and neutral, I can get it in reverse if I really force it. Again not necessarily the dealerships fault, rated them 4 stars on the buying experience. Little disappointed I might have to put $1000 into it for a new shifter before I can even drive the thing and then figured out why the car is throwing out reduced engine power. But that's what you get when you buy a used car and a highly modified car at that. I asked the dealership if they could somehow get me in contact with the previous owner, I am hoping they can do that so I can figure out what all this car has and these problems I am having with it. read more

So when we purchased the Cadillac, the finance manager put the hard sell on us to purchase 10 oil changes with tire rotation for $50 each a total of $500. He said it was such a great deal, the car needed synthetic oil. My wife handled the first three changes. I brought the car in for the fourth oil change and didn't give them the coupon up front. When they had my car ready to my surprise the charge was $46. So I overpaid for oil changes in advance. That's a bunch of BS, I will never purchase a car from you again. A friend of mine took her car in to have them check her battery. First they charge $50.00 to check the battery, a 5 minute test. Then they sell her a AC Delco battey saying it only has a 30 month warranty. The service guy said the Delco battery is a very good battery. Then why only a 30 month warranty? Wal-Mart's battery has a 36 month free replacement and 2 more years pro rated. Not what i call good service. read more

BUYER BEWARE- MUST READ - Purchased a newer used vehicle from Sherman Chevrolet and the car started skipping the very same day on our way home. Newer vehicle with 40,000 miles and when I returned the SUV they told me the car needed a new transmission. UGH!! I purchased the vehicle because I thought dealerships did a thorough inspection of used vehicles before they are put on the lot. We paid nearly $35,000 for a vehicle that we learned two days later needed a new transmission??? I was livid - but I guess that explains the hard sale in the finance room for the extended warranty that we planned to purchase through our bank. Might I add we took the vehicle back within days and it took nearly a month to fix. While the car was in the shop I ask the service manager to fix the winshield that had a small chip and buff out a scratch on the side of the car. When I returned to pick up the car nearly a month later and after calling serveral times to ask what was taking so long for the transmission. They returned my car to me dirty, with no gas, the windshield had not been fixed nor the scratch buffed out on the side of the car. I clearly expressed to the manager that I was unhappy. I ask the manager for a number for Corporate - the manager said he was uncomfortable giving me the number and told me they would have someone contact me - REALLY!!! Just an overrall horrible car buying experience. They did go ahead and wash the car but told me I had to fix the chipped windshield and scratch on my own which I would have had them do - had they communicated that to me during the nearly month long they had my new car. Didn't think much of it till a few days later and noticed scratches on the roof where it was sitting and being moved around. They sent me a letter wanting to buy my highly sought after vehicle. Even gave me a customer code to go to their online appraisal. I did this and they offered to pay me 20% over THEIR book value. Making the price for buying my GREAT condition 2010 SS Camaro $19,170.00. However upon dealing time they wanted to give me $13,000 and even came up to a big $14,000. Said my car wasnt worth as much because it was manual. This car has a much bigger Vette engine in it than the automatic does which costs more money but its worth less??? They also tried selling me their car for $39,000 after the website showed the car for $36,711! They did not HONOR what THEIR WEBSITE said they would pay me then tried to rip me off for almost $3,000. I hate to even rate a 1 star. They completely took advantage of my 19 y.o. daughter and put her in a car she couldn't afford. After having the car for a month, they asked her to come by to talk. They told her the bank didn't approve her loan and they needed the car back. What?! They never gave her a contract so she was basically defenseless in seeking restitution. She traded her car in (was in my name) and they told her she could pay more than her trade in value to receive the car back. My husband called to speak to the manager and he was extremely rude and would not speak to us about the incident. We emailed the owner and never received a response. I went to buy a car advertised at $4999. This was the price point I had used for my car shopping for an entire day. When I had determined that no one could beat that price (a grueling process), I went to Ramey to purchase the car but end up paying almost $6000 because of hidden fees (not legally required nor paid to the government). I would have walked away from the car altogether, but I work in Plano and that just wasn't a option since I had already spent all the time I had available to find a car. They later refused to delete a photo of me in a post on Facebook advertising the sale (without mentioning how they ripped me off of course). I'm glad to have a car, but next time, I will be avoiding Ramey. read more

A little more expensive than I thought it should be, took a day longer than I thought it should. While they were friendly, I have misgivings about returning for routine maintenance on my 2014 Malibu. As long as the car was under maintenance warranty, things were great. When the warranty ran out on 12-2, not so much. Do not know how they will be on any major repairs. read more
