We were told it'd be about an hour wait, so we waited on the outdoor patio with beautiful views. You can also get a drink while you wait which is nice. The wait ended up being way shorter though, and we got seated in the "house" area. It was so adorable, and all of the hostesses & waitresses were so sweet and friendly! I ordered the lobster mac & cheese (because when in Maine!) and it was so decadent and loaded with that Maine lobster. The garlic bread on the side was amazing as well. It was a little pricey but again, the amount of lobster really reflected the price. Overall a cute and tasty restaurant with lots of fun options!

It is located in Maine but was only around 15minutes away as Conway is at the border. The establishment is located in small town of Fryeburg and has plaza with some parking available. Place seemed pretty busy when we came but luckily we were able to be seated right-away. Inside is spacious and looks like a tavern with interesting mix of sports, arcade, hunting and seafood decorations. There is also live lobster in water tank. We ordered some raw bar with dozen oysters, dozen clams, and 1/2 lb shrimp. The oyster was good size and flavorful. Shrimp was large and great as well. Clam was a bit smaller and was not as good as the others. We also got some bang bang shrimp and 1lb boiled lobster. The bang bang shrimp was pretty good. Pretty much what i expected in terms of flavor. Boiled lobster was tasty. Nicely boiled and relatively easy to deshell. Overall the food was good. Service was good and the staff were attentive. Overall it's a solid place for seafood/Mexican fusions. They also do live music on Wednesday and do special offer for Mondays through Thursday i.e Oysters half off on Monday. Seems like a bar where locals come hang out and grab food and drinks. Price was definitely on higher side. With exception to Shrimps which were actually not too bad comparatively as they were 2.50 each or $25 for 1 lb.

And lastly, the food is so fresh and delicious--the menu changes seasonally and is sourced from local farms, of course! Charred grilled octopus with heirloom tomatoes, cannellini beans, sweet red peppers, castelvetrano olives, and grilled lemon--an absolutely elevated cephalopod. A nice cozy setting with comfort food, to boot. We were seated in the back room, with a great view of the mountains. They took the time to add a little diagram of which ones you were looking at. {See Pictures}. Many years ago, I worked at a very waspy/blue blood Country Club, where the food resembled the menu. Old American standards that stood the test of time. However, at Oxford House, they aren't afraid to experiment with ingredients outside of the norm. Like Charred Grilled Octopus and Pan Seared Scallops over Crispy Potato Cakes; which were our appetizers. For entrees, we had Filet Mignon and Roasted Chicken. (See photos for complete description). The bread basket was a nice added bonus. We were quite full but had to try, and split, one dessert. Maine Blueberry Pie À la Mode. Which was the right choice. As we watched the sun go down, it was a perfect end to our vacation. Next time, I'll try and get a table on the large front porch. Honorable Mention: They pour a nice glass of wine (4 Fingers)
