We stopped here on our way home from a StoryLand/outlet/North Conway weekend. It was a beautiful day and such a nice end to our fun filled busy vacation. My toddler loved feeding the goats. In addition to the market, they have an ice cream stand with plenty of seating and lots of outdoor games (connect four, Jenga, corn hole).

We went to the Sherman Farm Corn Maze on Sunday and had a blast!!!! Traffic was a little slow getting there because of the Fryeburg Fair (it's over now) but we expected the traffic and it was SO Worth it!! You just pay to get in and then all the activities once you are inside are included. They have it all from corn boxes, the amazing Maze, human foosball, hay ride to the pumpkin patch, goats and more. We spent the day there with our family and everyone just loved it! We had lunch there as well, they have great sandwiches, fries and addictive cider donuts and fresh tasty coffee. As the we were wrapping up the Maze I let the kids play a little longer while I went into the farm stand and did some shopping- they have so many delicious prepared food options now alongside their meats and produce and make dinner so easy! Thanks Sherman Farm for a great (and affordable!) family day!

I have struggled with how I wanted to rate my experience here at Sherman Farms Corn Maize. On one hand I have had three visits, two of which were pure perfection and the third was today and that didn't go quite so smooth. First mistake I made and now know better going forth, was to visit while the Fair was happening. It makes the wait to enter the parking lot extremely long and while that is not their fault it is a very discouraging. Second mistake was commenting on it while my husband was paying. One of the owners was verbally aggressive when I mentioned offhand that they should open a second entrance. I understand that we were arriving at 4:15pm and she was probably very tired from a busy day as the weather was beautiful, however, when you are given criticism (which I wouldn't necessarily say is what I gave) you should grin and bear and speak kind, instead she got very hostile with me saying how it wasn't their fault the town is the reason the can't have another entrance, so on and so forth. When I informed her she was being very hostile she informed me she felt I was being hostile (I certainly didn't feel that way) I was standing their holding my baby waiting to go have family fun and make memories and carry on a tradition we were making and she left a sour taste. She did apologize for her tone before storming off but I wouldn't say it was the most sincere apology. I proceeded to ask if she was the only owner and turns out she wasn't, another lady sitting there apologized for her behavior and explained that I wasn't the only person that day who had expressed frustration and it wasn't their fault. The reason I am not letting that experience deter my review is because I genuinely love visiting this farm. The corn maize is so much fun, lots of twists and turns and little games inside to keep you wandering. Going up on the bridge to look out over the corn field and snap so photos is amazing. The goats, games, Kettle Corn, the ruler, the tin pigs all so perfect. I have never been able to take a hay ride but have plans to do so as my daughter my grows. The rest of the staff was fun, kind, helpful and cheery. The corn cops were smiling every time we came upon them and Amanda working the desk going into the maize was helpful and explained the games very well. Overall I will continue to make this a family tradition and will chalk up whatever grumpiness I was greeted with to being tired and frustrated.

A great stop to pick up local produce and meats. We bought a dozen ears of corn. I baked them a few days later for a corn salsa and it made the sweetest salsa I have ever made. It was so good my whole family put it on everything for a week!!! I need more of that corn!! After shopping we fed the goats, love those little guys!!!!

There are goats to feed! Baby goats! (put a quarter into the machine and you can get grain to feed them). One of them was running around outside of the pen when I was there, so I got to pet it up close, though you can reach through the fence. I love the fresh produce and baked goods inside. Everyone comes here for the milk, but there is so much more! I bought a pesto goat cheese the other day that was incredible! The tomatoes I bought were fresh and juicy, just as if they were right out of the garden. I would have given them 5 stars but I was so disappointed that their chocolate milk was sweetened with high fructose corn syrup that I just can't. I usually read labels before purchasing things, but I figured with the old fashioned wholesome image of this place that they would use sugar. Sadly, this was not the case. I didn't check on the other flavors (yes, they have blueberry, orange cream, strawberry, vanilla, etc.) but I'm pretty suspicious. I have heard the plain milk is quite good. Those who enjoy the old time glass milk bottle will be happy here. The deposit is high--about $2 each, so you have a good incentive to return them.

Absolutely adorable and they carry such great, local products! Stopped here for lunch on a whim and ended up with an awesome spread -- baby carrots, local cheese spread, yogurt, strawberries fresh from the farm, homemade pasta salad, local baked goods for dessert! Absolutely amazing!

Great local farm with their own produce and items from other local produce, baked items, dairy, etc. The steaks are phenomenal.

Our hungry party of six showed up here unexpectedly after tubing in the river all day; and realized…read moreour destination brewery did not serve food. Oops, my bad. Busy and bustling restaurant and local bar. Neat promo of passing out next weeks menu to keep the locals coming back. We started with haddock bites to share, as well as the tomato/mozzarella app. My group of New Yorker young adults raised on Bronx Italian/Arthur Ave influencers loved it. We each had different drinks utilizing the beer, wine and cocktail menus and had entrees including fish, all the taco varieties (my largely vegetarian daughter enjoyed her falafel tacos very much). My generous baked haddock serving will last me at least three meals and the cous cous salad and roasted zucchini were delicious and a nice modern spin on the classic Maine dish typically served without greens and often too heavy and rich potatoes. Our server was super busy, but obviously so was the kitchen, but it gave us time to revisit the interesting beverage lists again. Highly recommend as a stop in enjoying the River, North Conway or the upcoming Fair. I'd love to go back!

It is located in Maine but was only around 15minutes away as Conway is at the border. The establishment is located in small town of Fryeburg and has plaza with some parking available. Place seemed pretty busy when we came but luckily we were able to be seated right-away. Inside is spacious and looks like a tavern with interesting mix of sports, arcade, hunting and seafood decorations. There is also live lobster in water tank. We ordered some raw bar with dozen oysters, dozen clams, and 1/2 lb shrimp. The oyster was good size and flavorful. Shrimp was large and great as well. Clam was a bit smaller and was not as good as the others. We also got some bang bang shrimp and 1lb boiled lobster. The bang bang shrimp was pretty good. Pretty much what i expected in terms of flavor. Boiled lobster was tasty. Nicely boiled and relatively easy to deshell. Overall the food was good. Service was good and the staff were attentive. Overall it's a solid place for seafood/Mexican fusions. They also do live music on Wednesday and do special offer for Mondays through Thursday i.e Oysters half off on Monday. Seems like a bar where locals come hang out and grab food and drinks. Price was definitely on higher side. With exception to Shrimps which were actually not too bad comparatively as they were 2.50 each or $25 for 1 lb.

This place was recommended by an older local couple that we love to visit every time we come to the area First of all, GENEROUS wine pours. I was happily shocked and buzzed after one glass of Malbec. Second, the servings of food are not small. We noticed other tables taking their leftovers in to-go containers. Baby, we're not in Kansas anymore (NYC). And lastly, the food is so fresh and delicious--the menu changes seasonally and is sourced from local farms, of course! Apps: Pan seared scallops over homemade crisp potato cakes, fresh corn puree, and a red pepper coulis--divine. Charred grilled octopus with heirloom tomatoes, cannellini beans, sweet red peppers, castelvetrano olives, and grilled lemon--an absolutely elevated cephalopod. Entrees: Roasted statler chicken with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, and cipollini onions surrounded by a garlic white wine pan jus--very mild bird and excellent sauce And my favorite... Filet mignon seared perfectly rare, with mashed potatoes mixed with blue cheese crumbles, wilted greens, more caramelized cipollinis, all topped with a red wine demi glaze We were so well taken care of--the meal, the service, the view!!! We'll happily take another 6 hour drive just to return and do it again. Cheers!
