Pretty laidback open fairly late considering the times now used to open later. They have seating and a few television s going . He has been around for quite awhile over 20 +years. My regular wash for all my normal laundry, towels, & linen AND my dry cleaning. 3.50 for a double wash and 1 quarter will get you 4 mins on the dryer. You might find cheaper somewhere else but this place has very friendly and long shift working attendants, nice clean and functional machines, and wifi. Had pants altered here and it took 3+ weeks because the first time they came back they weren't done properly and the seams were splitting at the bottom (silk suit). Picked up the pants today and they were attached to a hanger with two safety pins, which have left holes in the waistband. Why wouldn't you just fold them over the hanger? read more

Came here recently since my dryer recently got busted. Thank god this is literally 1.5 blocks away from home. I am not sure about all the pricing for each type of washer and dryer, but the one I selected (huge dryer) happened to be 4 minutes for 25 cents. That's literally MORE than what PARKING costs!!!! I was pretty shell shocked when I saw that. But the dryer was huge, and I think I could have gotten away with only using it for 20 minutes or so. You pay by the minute, not the 45-60 mins of use, which I found kind of lame. So I'm telling you, for a medium load of clothing, it did NOT require the 45 mins I put it in for. A medium load probably only needed 25 minutes max. It can be busy at times, and also slow at times. Their website advertised that a credit card could be used for payment, but there was no attendant to help you with that. So bring cash, but they do have a quarters machine if needed. read more

This laundromat is always clean and the people working are helpful. The customers are very pleasant as well. There is a mixture of old and new equipment. I've never had issues with any of the machines. It can get really busy during the day so I usually go late evening ... or when it's raining. There is a change machine, machine for laundry supplies, and a vending machine with snacks. There's also free WiFi. I've never used their dry cleaning or wash and fold services. It's 2.75 for the older regular sized washers and 25 cents for 5 mins for the larger dryers. The smaller dryers are 25 cents for 6 minutes. read more

i'm a customer of 20 years at this wash and fold laundromat.  recently they damaged my down comforter and down pillow because they removed these items from the dryer while still wet. it was placed in a plastic bag while wet. this cause mold to grow on it with unsightly dark spots. They washed it a second time which caused tears in the comforter and down to leak out. when I brought this to their attention they refused to compensate me for the damage of these items read more

This is for the wash and fold only. I went to Shermsonia for the first time recently. Upon entering and looking at the desk a woman (warmly) greeted me and asked if she could help. She went through the whole wash and fold options thoroughly, including needing drip dry, etc. I dropped off the laundry in the early morning, but it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow; they seem to be busy, which is a good sign; this may be a concern for those in a huge rush. My clean laundry was tightly and neatly folded in two blocks (first of three/four wash and fold places I've used that has done that - the others are/were not in the Bay Area). I was pleased with the process and will use them again if needed. read more

This is one of the best friendly dry cleaning out there. Also it is staffed Which is rare. I don't know why some of the yelpers one star it for. It is so cheap to get dry cleaning. I guess you can't make everybody happy with in reasonable demands. Some people are so pickey with there 5 dollers makes me laugh. If u don't think they do a good job do it your self. Geeezzz. Why do people love Christmas? Mostly because of presents! And that's what getting your laundry back from Shermsonia is like -- Christmas effin' morning. All your favorites that you wear week in and week out, all fresh smellin', nicely folded and wrapped into cute cuddly blue cubes organized! The process is simple: 1) Throw your stinky clothes in a bag, or a few bags 2) Get yo butt to Shermsonia 3) Drop it off, get it weighed, tell them what detergents you wanna use. 4) Get a slip and come back the next day! Credit card OK. Sure this ain't cheap, but hell they do a good job. I spent $30 for 3 weeks of laundry. And they open hella late! Which is good cuz if you drive to drop it off, better to go later since parking is a pain. If you can't get there, they also do pick up and delivery if just a wee bit extra. This is heaven for lazy bums. Ahhhh, I smell sooo good right now. P.S. This is a good place to do YOUR OWN laundry as well! Magazines, TVs are all there to help kill time. No, no, no! It should NOT take four days to get dry cleaning back. And especially not when I'm dropping it off before 9:00 AM. Are you freakin' serious? It better be freakin' SPARKLING when I pick it up, like, 30 years from now. If only my normal cleaners hadn't been mysteriously closed this morning... And I wasn't desperate to drop off a load of wash n' fold, AND dry cleaning for a conference next week... Damn it! I probably would have been better off taking my chances, waiting until tomorrow to see if the 24-hour place was open again... Shermsonia has definitely left me in a laundry quandary. Though they do use a computer to track your order. That's comforting. I shall try to remain neutral and continue this when I pick up my clothes. In the meantime, I'm going to go think about what possibly takes people so long to dry clean three pairs of pants. Hmph. UPDATE: Okay, it's now four days later. Though it seems like an ETERNITY since I dropped off my entire wardrobe for washing and/or dry cleaning... Everything has been retrieved. Wash and fold items: clean. I guess I don't have any complaints, except that it was slightly more expensive than MY place, and it took two days instead of being same-day, and it was wrapped in paper and about five yards of packing tape so that it literally took me half an hour to merely get to it. It was like a really, REALLY frustrating Christmas morning in my bedroom, trying to put the laundry away on Saturday... Damn, I wish I knew the NAME of my place... Dry cleaning: also clean. I was going to start off with, "you get what you pay for...", but that's not accurate because candy bars are less than a dollar and that shit is amazing. So I will just get to it. We spend more on dry cleaning than we do on food a month. So it has been my mission to find an affordable dry cleaner. I thought Shermsonia was going to let me eat more. I was wrong. The first time I used this place, I noticed there were obvious wrinkles in the clothes and they seemed dull; a little fuzzy. I didn't mind since I gave my really expensive stuff to my regular dry cleaner. The one I've used for years and the reason why we are so skinny. So I went back to Shermsonia again, pushing my luck. This time I found a beloved, though not expensive, white shirt damaged with two permanent marker dots right on the chest; in the front - two large, black, smudged dots!!! How do I know Shermsonia is the guilty party? Because when we left Shermsonia, with our dry cleaning, we did not get car jacked by someone wielding a black Sharpie. And I took it out of the bag that way! Infinite sadface being stuffed with Hostess cupcakes because I can't afford the good stuff. read more

Worst dry cleaning service. I've tried this place twice and both times they brought back my items two days later from date of pick up. It would've been nice to receive a call to let me know that my items would arrive rather than having to make the trip out, circling the block for parking and feeding the meter and finding out my clothes weren't ready. This place is extremely economical and provides me with magazines so I can catch up on my celebrity gossip as well. It's also quite the hub for 20-somethings, so I catch up on my area gossip, too. I didn't have too much trouble parking, as I came here in the middle of the day on a weekday. It's also near a market, so you can get some shopping done while your clothes are soaping up. One problem I noticed that didn't concern me but could in the future is that the vending machine took a bunch of people's money. The woman working would kind of play dumb and then eventually give the person whatever candy they were purchasing from the back. I am not a SF resident and I stumbled onto this place because my son had gotten his jeans soaking wet in the ocean. The Ross down the street didn't sell kids clothing (seriously, what is up with that?) so I had to find a laundromat to dry his pants..found Shermsonia thru SF Way app on my iPhone. I recently used this wash and fold service. I was deathly sick and completely in the shitter unable to physically do my own. I was worried that using this type of service would screw up my laundry. I couldn't have been more wrong. They did a wonderful job on my sheets and towels, came to the house to pick it up, gave me a good menu of cleaning agents, and asked when I wanted it back. Delivery was next day and on given time to boot. I would definitely use this place again and highly recommend them for anyone looking for this kind of service. read more

I live in Noe Valley and drive 20 minutes to get my dry cleaning done at Shermsonia in the Richmond. Well that sounds crazy, doesn't it? You know what's NOT crazy? How cheap their prices are! Full suits, $5. Winter jacket, $5. Longchamp purse dirtied from too many MUNI rides? $10. I started doing my own laundry here about 3 years ago. What a change from that armpit at Oak & Gough. This place is clean and bright, and reasonably priced. TV is usually on, and there are vending and soda machines. Most of the time the flow is pretty good and there are trolleys and folding space available. The staff is always walking around cleaning up and wiping down the machines. Later I switched and now have them do wash & fold for me. It's pretty speedy and also comparably priced. At first I was having trouble adjusting to their folding style, but the whole thing is a time-saver so I deal with it! read more

This review is for the self-service laundry, not dry cleaning. Pssht, I avoid buying clothes that require dry cleaning. If it can't go with the rest of my clothes, it'll never get washed! This was the only place open on the late Sunday I decided to do the laundry. The rates are good, see their website for details. What really made this an experience is the TV show three strangers were attentively watching together. Grey's Anatomy...Oh my god. Every moment involved somebody crying, breaking down, or being scolded. Soap operas have not evolved since their beginning. It was painful to even listen to. As an Indian, Russian, and American watched, eyes glued to the TV, two thuggish Hispanic men were unfazed by the show, murmuring snide remarks. I was left outside reading my comic book, often looking back at everyone in the laundromat. It was such a nice scene, in The City. read more

Reasonable price. Great service. Everyone I have ever dealt with here is always friendly and they are never rushed on the phone. Once they delivered my laundry and forgot to leave my hamper. I called the next day and they said they would have no problem dropping it off that night. You can drop off your laundry on a Sunday and noon and have it back that night. Perfectly washed and folded. So here I am reviewing my cleaner in hopes you'll share yours. Shermsonia isn't anything special - theres a small booth in the corner of the laundrymat but its my cleaner because its so damn convenient. Open from 6am - midnight 365 days a year. Great local laundromat which does a BRILLIANT job on wash and fold. The only thing I don't like is the kind of mean notes from the owner/manager to the staff about "do it or resign" which abound around the cash register. I love their pick up and delivery laundry service! I'm not sure I could describe it better than the previous yelper! It really is like Christmas!! They only are able to pick up clothing in the evening but they drop it off the following evening! Their prices are reasonable, I've never paid more than $50 for nearly a month's worth of laundry! Everything always comes back laundered to my specifications! While I'm not as impressed with their location for self service location (small and cramped), it's still get's 5 stars for service! read more

Props for being fairly clean, reasonably priced, and open until Midnight. Those three reasons make you my first choice for laundry in my hood. But I must subtract two stars for the following: 1) Complete Claustrophobia. I'm glad there's never been more than 8 people here, because the entire place is the size of my living room. 2) Shady shit going on with the driers. Sometimes I put my money in, start her up, then come back to find it stopped halfway though but took all the money anyway. Lady running the place just plays dumb. read more

Haven't tried their dry cleaning service. For wash n fold.. awesome. Quick turn around time, never any problems. The price is a tiny bit high but they do an amazing job. Long hours makes it easy to pick up your stuff even if you work weird hours. 5 stars. As a laundromat, pretty poor... machines are frequently broken (and a lot of them are taken up by the wash n fold service). The dryers in particular always seem to have issues - takes so many cycles to dry even light weight clothes. 2 stars. read more

I'm here every week (unfortunately :/ I wish I had in house laundry haha), however I'm happy to call this place my laundry mat. Always seems busy, but it's a chill place and seemingly very secure safe place. Staff doesn't bother you if you don't have a question... this is great thank you lol. Love coming here to wait for laundry and eat some chips out of the vending machine! Only concern is to cover the ceiling holes and dust the fake plants. Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Most washers and dryers available. Parking is not so easy. Vending machines available for soap and snacks. wash & fold is great. they get it super compact and makes stuffing in to the dresser so simple. i haven't done my own laundry in months and my quality of life has gone up ten-fold. laundered shirts leave something to be desired, but hey... where else can i drop off from 6am until midnight and have an actual person to look at my stuff if they've screwed up? read more
