I've been coming here for 13 years, and this last ownership is by far the worst. Save yourself the frustration -- avoid this place. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Problems: * No staff available when machines break * Half the machines don't work and swallow your money * I've lost a lot of money due to their lack of oversight * ATM machines rarely work, yet you're charged $1 per laundry card * Machines and chairs are dirty * No carts available because they're stolen * Homeless people hang out inside, bring pets, feed them, and leave the space dirty and unsanitary, with no supervision * They locked the backyard, which used to be one of the few good things about this place -- no access anymore After more than a decade of using this laundromat, I've watched it completely fall apart. As long time user of this laundermat this last year has been horrific. It was the one reliable spot - machines used to work and place was clean. It seems like they don't care about the customer experience and there's never anyone here. This is beyond unacceptable especially as a community resource. The chairs are strewn everywhere ( that's if you can even find one), trash full to the brim at all times floors Filthy. I paid for a dryer that turned out to be broken (apparently for over a week), with no sign on it. It kept shutting off after 30 seconds and still showed 50 minutes remaining. There was no staff and no contact number posted. I live nearby and went back multiple times to try to speak with the manager, but no one was ever there. I lost my money and my time. Very disappointing. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. This was easily one of the worst laundromat experiences I've had. read more

This place used to be great with multiple carts to transfer your clothes from the washer to the dryer, a patio, restroom, service, clean chairs, and floor but not anymore. There are no carts so you have to transfer your wet laundry to the dry by carrying it. All the chairs are either dirty, broken or barely hanging at the brink of collapse. Some machines do not work, there is no patio, restroom, vending machine to buy soap or softener. I do not know what happened to this place but it is sad to see it turning into this. read more

I went I about 4 days ago and half the washers at least weren't working and all of the large capacity washers broken. I had to try 3 dryers before I found one that worked. That was fun redistributing all my clothes from one dryer to the next over and over. Also the prices are very high for such poor service. Obviously the accountants aren't doing their jobs to see the place is losing money because the machines don't work. Or maybe they jack up the prices cuz most don't work. Very bad business practices here. It used to be decent but not anymore. Will go someplace else I guess. Shame on you Azul Eco!!!! Apathy in a city of apathy. Just joined the club I guess. Good luck. Bad news is over 15th or 20th laundry dryer machines did not work, due to NO HEAT, which it was very disappointing and very frustrated on my very sad day... plus, I was being ripped off by a laundry dryer machines with NO HEAT.... I hope the manager could send in a handy man to fixed over 15th or 20th laundry dryer machines and making 100% sure all the dryer machines runs very smoothly with excellent EXTRA HEAT on a laundry dryer machines. This place has extremely rude staff. My clothes were in the washer by 7:45pm. Last wash is at 8 and they close at 9. I only had one load. She literally turned the circuit breaker off at 9:02pm to stop my load in the dryer. The woman working wouldn't give me the managers name or a refund for the remaining time on the dryer which was roughly 10min left. She said, "no, we're closed" I've ignored the fact that their washer machines and dryers are over priced and constantly broken. I understand this isn't an easy job. I didn't raise my voice. I just asked for a refund, was denied that and then had the circuit breaker shut off to push me out. I don't want to show the woman's identity because that's rude but I do want to show the place with its lights shut off and her coming from the circuit breaker room (her face covered by ). Inconsistent open/last wash hours and staff wanting to go home early I guess Sign said they closed at 8pm (usually 9pm), last wash 7pm (usually 8p), I arrived at 6:45p and the doors were locked and the woman who usually is staffed there wouldn't let me in or explain why she closed early. A lot of the machines are usually in use by them (service maybe?) or broken. I arrived in San Francisco to find that my shampoo exploded all over every article of clothing in my suitcase. Great. After hand washing them all late at night, I brought the batch of clothes here to dry in the morning. The upside is they open at 7am, so it was very convenient for me. I was able to get my clothes taken care of before the day officially started. Having said that... This place is a dump! Half of the dryers were missing doors, and half of the ones that HAD doors had tissues stuffed in the coin slot to signify that they were out of order as well. I used the change machine, and attempted to buy a dryer sheet from the machine. It took my money. I dried my clothes without one. There was a soda machine that looked like it was kicked out. This place is very unprofessional... please don't believe the sign that says they close at 9pm because they close whenever they want. I've come to pick up my close at 8pm and come to a locked door. It gets better I come the next morning 8:32am and it's still not open. The staff does not care about their customers what so ever. If you can go to a different laundromat please do. This place is great except for the staff. The staff occupies the majority of the machines during the day, and they are not friendly. They will not remove their items from the washer, but as someone mentioned earlier, they have no qualms with taking your stuff out and putting it to the side. They want to make it clear you're on their turf. They pretend to only speak Spanish and blare Telemundo. I know they understand me. They just would rather not help you. I get it. They probably get some less than favorable people in there. This happened: a woman from the staff put 2 socks into a dryer right in front of me. She did it just to occupy it, so I could not use it. I just carried a bunch of heavy clothes over here only to see it is closed from the 23rd through the 25th. I checked just the day before to see if they were closing because they've been closing earlier and more often during holiday times, which is difficult or those of us who have few other times off of work, but there were no postings about the closing up at all. I am actually in the laundromat right now waiting for my clothes to dry, and so far I am satisfied with this place. It is clean, and it accepts credit card. There is a cartoon direction of how to use the machine on each one of them, and at least to me, it was intuitive enough that it took me just about a couple of minutes to figure out how to run them. Seems like some people were frustrated about the business' working hours and the staff. Well, they claim this place runs from 8AM to 8PM, but it is probably safe to assume it actually runs 9AM to 7PM. Also at 4:37PM on Thursday, two thirds of the machines, both drying and washing, are empty if this information helps you to see how crowded this place is. Overall, good laundromat to use on weekdays afternoon, not sure about early morning/late evenings and weekends. read more

So there's ads all over neighborhood that 477 Fulton got renovated. I just gave it a try. Both coin machines out of order. And then the machine locked my stuff and was spinning it without water FOR AN HOUR, I couldn't open it. I am beyond pissed. There's no contact information inside the laundromat. I was able to squeeze behind the machine and figure out the water was turned off. So after I had to turn the water on it started working. I wasted a bunch of time and couldn't even do the second load I had because the coin machines are out of order so I have to go to another laundromat later today. I googled the owner's phone number and left a voicemail. So pissed. And it's rather untidy inside. I am so bummed that I gave these guys a try again. This place totally sucks. No directions anywhere on which machines are turbo, pricing or how to use the machines. Had to ask around to several other people to try to figure it out. Never been to a laundromat that doesn't sell soap this is my first time. If you think you're going to sit and work on your laptop while clothes are being washed then think again because none of the plugs in here work. Is it ok to say you love a laundromat? Because I love this laundromat. Super clean, new machines and they have an outdoor patio with seating so you can hang out while you wait. Sure this place is more expensive than others, but the machines are super fast (in the best way) and there's an attendant on site. Patio Wash & Dry is fine - they have a bunch of washers and dryers. Some are always out of service, but amazingly I have never had to wait for a machine. Good timing I guess. They also have two change machines, which is a big plus if you didn't have time to get to the bank to get some of those shiny quarters. I live right around the corner and often would do my laundry at a friends place for free but the hassle was too much. Finally found this place and it's so amazingly convenient! No need for coins because this place has its own laundry card they print for free that you can add money to! Cash or card it doesn't matter. It's $3 to wash and about $1.50 to dry. The only annoying thing is that the dryer only does increments of 12 mins for $.50 but it is FAST. I can take the 2 loads of laundry from 2 different washers and put it into 1 dryer and it's still super fast. I am in and out of there in about an hour with my clothes FOLDED. I only go on weekdays and early Saturdays so I've never experienced issues with people taking my items out. All you need is a good book, or a fully charged phone and you can chill on the patio or in the corner on the chairs they have. read more

For those who come back after the machine had stopped, and their laundry was being removed, You have to understand that these people make their living doing laundry. If a machine sits idle, they are not making money. When you came back and the machine had stopped, would you offer them extra money for the idle time? Probably not. It is a verbal contract. By not being there to remove your laundry, you broke your end of the contract. My wife and I were visiting from Phoenix Arizona. We found this place close to our hotel, and we're very happy with it. The card system is a bit obscure though. English is not their first language, but we finally figured out if you put a $10 bill in, you get $10 worth of laundry time on your card. No extra charge for the card itself. For those of you who don't want to wait here to remove your laundry after the machine finishes, they will be glad to wash and fold your laundry for you for a slight additional charge. Standing outside Azul Eco at 8:21 am and they are not open. Sign and website say they open at 8:00 am. Phone goes directly to voicemail. I've been loyal to this laundromat since it got remodeled simply because it's the closest to my apt that does not have laundry facilities, even though staff could give nada f*cks and the last time I brought in my blanket to be cleaned they couldn't give me a claim ticket and when I returned they had "lost" my blanket. I found my blanket only after going thru all 24 dryers myself. That said, the washers and dryers are the best in the industry. I wash my "dry clean only" uniforms in the washers on delicate setting, tumble dry on low and have never had a problem. I've also seen them turn away customers that walk in at 7:58pm (last wash is at 8:00 pm) with a ton of laundry, which, honestly if you know how difficult it is lugging all your laundry down a million stairs and through the city streets you understand this is a total d*ick move. I had OK experiences up until today. I put my items in a large washer at 12 pm and set a timer to return when the 25 minute wash finished. I came approximately 27 minutes later and the staff member along with two patrons were taking my stuff out. There were four washers open. I see no reason for them to do this--and allow other customers to grab my stuff with them--if four units are available. When I went to speak to the staff member about my dissatisfaction with how this was handled, she offered nothing but confused mumbles. This is hands down the best laundry mat I've ever used. I'm so grateful I live close by. Owner is great, he gives a free dryer on Wednesday and Thursday. He's always there or employees are around so there is less riff raff than the former laundry mat. Yes, machines are a dollar or two more than other places but the efficient washers leave clothes with less water in them meaning a dryer full of clothes is done in 18 minutes so you save time and a few quarters on the dryers! I AM EXCITED that Azul FINALLY has the right management running this facility. The place looks good, it's clean, has wifi, and the attendant is ALWAYS available to help. This is a VAST improvement from the former management team. The best thing about this laundromat is the actual washers and dryers. They are new and efficient. I can dry a full load of laundry in 15-18 min. It saves me so much time and money. I have been in the neighborhood for 5 years. I was very skeptical to go back to this place. Newly renovated! Washers are a little bit pricier than nearby ($3.00 for a cold wash); dryers are normal price ($0.25 for 6 minutes), but everything WORKS and it's AWESOME. The dryers actually dry my clothes consistently -- so far I haven't had any of my clothes come out still wet. Also love that the machines take credit cards. read more

After the No War laundromat became the 20th Century Cafe, this was the only joint within easy walking distance from my apartment. I've been using it for a year now, and the washers and dryers have become substantially more useless and broken; dryers with the covers removed (to indicate that they're unfixable), washers that get stuck on cycles, temperamental dryers that run cool, and broken washers with "broken" written all over them with Sharpies. As far as I can tell, they never repair any of the machines. Additionally, although the place is advertised at opening at 7am, the fellow that opens it up can be hours late.
