Also barely any transparent pricing throughout the entire consult. Hearing "the pricing has changed" multiple times after being told prices over the phone and seeing prices posted on their websites inspires no confidence. Also one thing I do appreciate, even though that's also dishonest online, is that they eventually admitted it's laser hair "reduction" and not "removal". The consult lady after spending some time explaining why this might be painful and how she's been doing that same laser hair removal for a while, then comes back to tell me that she doesn't do it, and then they don't do the laser hair removal I requested at any of their locations. 30 mins of driving for nothing. That's crappy business. Look elsewhere for honest folks.

I went to Paul Young, didn't see him, which is fine, but the NP that I saw didn't do anything my PCP didn't do and immediately suggested a nasal ablation and went on a sales pitch about how Dr. Young does them in the office. Felt like they "sell" that to everyone. She also couldn't see anything concerning- so why suggest this procedure? And for the plugged ears, she suggested I get a hearing test but they don't perform them. What kind of ENT can't do a hearing test in the office? Long story short- useless and total waste of time and money. Just got a $350.00 bill, after insurance for literally nothing.

The new physician, at my very first visit, said: 'I got your records from Dr Young's office, as well as the notes about your anxiety." I don't have anxiety. The awful surgery center that he uses kept me in a room for nearly NINE HOURS waiting to be taken back for surgery; I asked a nurse ONE TIME when I'll be taken back and she ran and told the anesthesiologist's helper that I was 'anxious' and they offered to give me pre-anesthesia to 'calm me down.' No, I was not anxious, I was super thirsty and MAD because I have not had any food or drink since midnight and it was nearly 5pm (so for15 hours). My nose is the same now as it was pre-surgery. I'm still congested, I still have post-nasal drip, and my sleep still sucks because I'm coughing from the throat irritation of the snot dripping down my throat. I've asked them to test me for other things (Covid, etc.) that might suggest why I was still feeling that way; apparently wanting to breathe without choking on snot makes a person 'anxious.' I guess that the PAs / Ear Doctor are also psychologists, and are able to diagnose 'anxiety' without a degree in human psychology. Interesting. No wonder my Primary Doc, at my 'make sure this person is healthy before surgery' checkup looked down at the doctor's name and said: 'Just be careful, some doctors think they're god and will judge you for everything."

Completely botched my tummy tuck in 2023 - ended up just finally getting a revision for an abdominal ledge deformity with rough, uneven scar, and completely scarred and off-center belly button. I do not scar this badly ever in the past. Was not willing to go back to him for the revision since it was so bad after the first surgery. Breast augmentation was also not up to standards but at least it's tolerable. There are far too many other talented plastic surgeons to go to instead of risking it here. My new result after revision so far is great.

I clearly state I dont make hormones so I'm on all three. He quickly shifts demeanor and says "We dont work on people like you, I dont have the support for your type, go to ECMC where they work on people like YOU" I didnt bother to argue and left. Dr. Anain clearly cares about the best outcomes for her patients!…read more My daughter was born with a pre-auricular skin tag on her cheek (and Dr. Anain explained to me what all that meant, patiently answered my questions; and no, it cannot simply be tied off and allowed to fall off like other skin tags) and she was NOT hasty to get it taken off. She didn't want to put our daughter under general anesthetic unless she had to, and thought it better to wait until she was old enough to sit still under a local anesthetic instead. On our most recent yearly check-in visit, my now three-year-old daughter expressed a desire to keep her skin tag, and Dr. Anain was supportive of the idea of letting her decide, possibly not going through with it at all. Clearly, she cares about the best outcomes for her patients, whether or not it brings in more money. I cannot speak to the quality of her surgery, as we haven't gotten to that point yet, but our experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

I had to cancel an appointment due to an unexpected medical issue and called the office immediately to reschedule. Instead of showing any understanding, I was told I would be charged a $145 cancellation fee -- even after offering to provide a doctor's note confirming the medical situation. The office refused to accept it and said I could not reschedule unless I paid the fee. When I reviewed the financial agreement, it only listed a range of possible fees -- it did not state that the charge was mandatory or specify exact amounts for missed appointments. When I asked for additional documentation or written policy to support their decision, I was told none existed. For a healthcare provider, I find this lack of compassion, flexibility, and transparency very disappointing. Medical issues are often unpredictable, and I expected a much more understanding and professional approach from a dental office. Unfortunately, this experience showed otherwise.

As I arrive I didn't even know the scheduled time of his surgery until I got his folder thankfully only a 45 minute wait and we we're done with his surgery in 15 minutes

Prequel - I had one surgery, at a hospital, a year before being made to come here for an unrelated…read moresurgery. For the hospital surgery: no food or water after midnight, be at the hospital at 6am, surgery at 7am. Everything was wonderful. That's what I was expecting would happen here, but what happened here was a nightmare. Issue #1 - They don't tell you what time your surgery is scheduled for - ever. They will text you the day before to tell you what time to BE there, but they do not tell you what time your surgery is scheduled to take place. Issue #2 - They require that you have someone with you, to drive you home afterward; this is understandable but without that person knowing what time your surgery is and what time you're expected to be discharged: they're expected to clear a whole day to be available for a surgery that may only take a half hour. Issue #3 - The 'no food or water after midnight' rule is outdated and untrue. The American Society of Anesthesiologists issued guidelines in 1999, 2011, & 2017 that patients may have clear liquids up to 2 hours before surgery. The old guidelines/rules were invented in the 1950s when pregnant patients were 'anesthetized' with ether on a mask, which caused nausea and for the patient to vomit up their stomach contents. Today, an endotracheal tube is used to prevent this from occurring, so liquids should be allowed up to 2 hours prior to surgery. Issue #4 - Snarky Nurse. I pressed the 'call' button to ask a question - just one question - and I heard her say: 'Ugh, this girl is gonna keep my on my toes!' (Sorry, nurse, to have interrupted your wedding planning conversation to ask you a question, which the intake nurse said I was more than welcome to do as often as I liked. But I've been sitting in a curtained-off room for two and a half hours and no one has given me an update aside from 'It'll be about 45 minutes to an hour until your surgery' - and that was at Noon. It's now 2:30pm, I'm thirsty as hell because I haven't had any water for nearly 13 hours, and I have jack sh*t to do because I was told to not bring any books/phones/valuables - which I suppose is good because I saw some Google reviews where patients woke up to find some of their valuables 'missing'). Issue #5 - The attempted to gaslight me, and offered me unnecessary medication. After I asked: 'How much longer until my surgery?' the Snarky Nurse went and got the anesthesiologist's 'helper / #2 man' who came into my 'room' and told me: 'You're anxious.' I informed him that I was NOT anxious, just irritated that it has been nearly 3 hours since I was checked-in and no one will tell me what time my surgery is going to take place. I had spoken to him earlier, because everyone involved in your care that day will come over and introduce themselves, and that had been the only time I had spoken to him - and I was not anxious then, either. Now, he had no other reason to think otherwise - aside from Snarky Nurse, who likely did not want to 'deal' with me after my one very-normal question. He briefly disappeared, then returned and offered me 'some of the pre-surgery sedation medication to calm you down.' I told him - again - that I was not anxious; that I was mad about the wait time, frustrated about being so thirsty for the past 13 hours, and had no interest in receiving any 'shut up drugs' for simply asking what time my surgery was going to take place. Issue #6 - Overall Wait Time. I waited nearly FOUR HOURS to be taken back to surgery. That's 16 hours of no water, for a person who dehydrates quite easily. Absolutely unacceptable. Issue #7 - Billing. I was required to pre-pay for the surgery, which I did. The young lady I spoke to informed me that I would not receive any further bills or charges from this Center. Months after my surgery, I received a bill for 'anesthesia services' for over $200. This qualifies as a 'Surprise Medical Bill' which I believe violates the 'No Surprises Act' which went into effect on January 1, 2022. And I did report it as such. Issues I've Found by Others - one Google user claims to have gotten a staph infection from this Center. Several Google users have stated that their surgeries were cancelled on them. A couple of Google reviewers stated that they were over-charged by this Center. One person stated that they were man-handled by a nurse after being woken up from anesthesia on the very spot that he had just been operated on. One Last Note - A Boomer-aged woman who works there was having computer issues and was on speakerphone with an IT guy and she kept shouting into the phone: 'IS MY PASSWORD STILL CATHOLIC HEALTH 4 ?!?' Every patient in the pre-op area now knows her password. A password to a computer, within a medical network of computers, that very likely collectively contain the private medical information of many patients. Probably not the smartest thing to be shouting over & over again, when everyone on the floor can hear it.
