I have missed this place while going to other places to eat and I am so sorry that I did. We have lived in this area for 14+ years and have looked for a poké bowl like this many times to no avail. This spot, Sherry Blossom, is wonderful!! First we had their Veggie Gyoza which was very, very tasty, excellent in fact. The my wife and I each had a poké bowl. Now here's what I truly appreciate. They have a great selection of bases: white or black rice, salad or cauliflower rice (they were out of red quinoa). I had for the first time black rice and found it to be nice. Spicy tuna for me (2 scoops) and a combo of tuna & salmon for my wife. The fish was fresh and tasty. Then the add ins were (for me) seaweed salad, carrots, edamame, pickled red onion, scallion, ginger and some wasabi on the side of the bowl then topped with crispy fried onions. They also offer mango, pineapple and several other add ins. I had mine with ponzu (a citrus sauce) over it all but they have a ton of others available. Delicious!!! My wife said that hers was really good and almost too much for her to eat. Since it was my first visit here, the staff was patient with my slow selections as I tried to take in all of the options. So many. My wife also had a saki which she commented was very good. I can't wait to try their ramen bowls and other items on the menu! Over all this spot was a hit with us. I will be back here often when I'm in NY for the summers. Now if I could only find a decent poké bowl in South Florida, that has been my challenge over the past year while we're there for the winter. read more

I am so grateful I live nearby because this place makes the best poke bowls anywhere! If you don't live in town it is soooo worth the trip. The fish is so fresh and you can customize how you want it. She also makes her own dressings. There are a lot to choose from. The vibe is great and the owner is very sweet. She has her liquor license now as well so you can sit at the bar and eat with a glass of wine. I rarely write reviews but I want this place to stay here forever. I really like the bowls at this place. I can only comment on the one that I get because it's all I ever get there. It has salmon, avocado, tuna, mango, along with assorted, add-ons and toppings. It's really delicious every time and it's also quite filling. I love love love Sherry Blossom. Granted I've only gotten the spicy volcano poke bowl, but it hits the spot every time. Fresh and delicious. Without fail I eat the entire bowl and end up feeling stuffed but I can't help it. It tastes too good to stop. Eventually I'll branch out and try the ramen because I'm sure it's great too. Oh! Yeah, nice place. The food was clean and light and a nice mix of different asian cuisine. Great place for a lunch stop before or after heading out to the beach. The location is great of you are out for a day trip of a nice ride along the shore. Obviously traffic is what it is here on a busy weekends during nice weather, but thats what makes it a great spot. Decided to try this place out after hearing good things from a friend. One of the girls working there asked me if it was my first time and it was so she had the guy making the bowls give me a couple of samples which I thought was so nice. The guy helped me create my bowl and explained how it worked. I decided to get half and half mixed greens and black rice, edamame, corn, cucumber, seaweed salad, ginger, wasabi, marinated tuna and salmon, cilantro, scallions, and tobiko ($1 extra). Not only was the service great and super friendly but OMG it was DELISH and so fresh. During lunch they give you a complimentary water bottle. It cost me around $13 which is a little pricey but they are very generous with portions and it's pretty filling. I'll definitely be a returning customer. read more

I got one of their bowls and the fish is totally sushi grade and even when you get a two protein bowl it's more than enough food for a pretty big guy like me. The service is good but I would have to say that this is probably one of the best bowls of its kind that I've ever had. This was literally the BEST poké spot I've ever been to! I wish there was one closer to me in Queens but whenever I go to the beach I'm gonna get poké. It takes the same amount of time to cook a piece of chicken as it does pork so she tells me she makes everything to order not before (like honey I would expect nothing but that). So I asked her name and she tells me she's the owner sherry so I told oh that's wonderful I'll never come back here because you're too lazy to cook a ramen with chicken and pork no big deal. The poke fad is still alive at this Long Beach poke and ramen spot with a Chipotle like setup. Came for their reasonably priced lunch special which includes a bottle of water (because, you know, healthy) and you get to create your own poke bowl. The fish was fresh as were the veggies but I just wish the sushi rice was seasoned. It was basically like eating a sushi roll that exploded in a bowl. Needless to say, I liked it and poke fans will as well. Not hungry then you can stop in for a bubble tea! Prices are reasonable and service at the counter is helpful and courteous.
