My family's new favorite ramen spot. My father about lost his mind over the spicy chicken tantan. He's not the easiest person to please, so I know when I'm hearing him making the mmm mmm sounds and constant exclamations of how he cannot wait to come back, I know we have a new place that will be on rotation. On a Saturday evening, we were able to get a table and it's a spacious but cozy dining room with lots of dark wood accents. It's a casual tavernesque spot and I think it's comfortable for families and friend groups alike, although I saw a few date nights happening around us. An all-around good vibe and expect swift and friendly service. They have one veggie option and normally that would be a little disappointing but when the one veggie option is THAT good, who cares? The broth is out of this world and there's generous amounts of bok choy, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, spinach vermicelli noodles and tofu. I added on a fire bomb because hot & spicy is life and I'll leave it at this: this is perfect giant bowl of ramen. Slurp, slurp away! read more

The phone was ringing quite a bit. The space is definitely a former pub of sorts, I'm not an original native of the area. The ramen was pretty good. Started with some apps, edamame, Chicken Karaage, and octopus balls. Octopus balls are cute, they come out with bonito flakes on the dish, and with the steam and heat, the flakes wiggle around, leaving you to wonder if anything is alive underneath, hehe. Nice flavor and texture. The Chicken Karaage was good. Fried chicken thighs in chunks. I've been spoiled with some good karaage, this wasn't standout for me. The edamame were steamed in an aromatic of sorts that had a very nice flavor. The ramen was good, portions seemed fair. Went with the Spicy Chicken Tantan Ramen, added a spice bomb. The noodles were plenty, cooked well. The chicken was nice. The spice was not spicy. I passed by 316 Ramen a few months ago and wanted to try them ever since, so on a cold windy day decided it was a perfect time to stop in for a nice hot bowl of ramen. Turned out to be a good decision, and thanks to Yelper Frank T. for the drop on this place. I was happy to see they offer takoyaki appetizer, a generous portion of lightly fried octopus croquettes with crunchy outside and yummy tender filling. Then moved on to the veggie ramen with spicy chicken add-on. The ramen was filling, delicious and beautifully presented with slices of silken white tofu lined up symmetrically in the bowl. (I'm kinda OCD so appreciated that lol). The noodles were thin and perfectly cooked, as were the veggies and half egg. Service was pleasant and quick enough. Liked the cozy homey decor as well. Very happy to see an authentic ramen place like 316 opening in these parts and plan to return again soon. read more

Excellent! Our local sushi place had a car run into the building and it was surrounded by police so no sushi for us! My husband said he saw a ramen noodle place in the shopping center and I was okay with that because I love noodles. Simple menu, I don't eat pork (there's a LOT of pork on the menu) but the spicy chicken looked good and we both got that. I loved the soup! It was a delicious broth and they give you plenty of noodles. I did remove the bamboo and the weird gelatinous egg, but there was plenty of food left. The chicken was prepared in an interesting way, and I liked the texture, kind of like ground and sautéed with spices. Very much enjoyed the meal and had leftover for lunch! The fried chicken is juicy not over cooked like many other places I went to. To be picky, the pork is not cooked/heated enough to let the fat melt. Pleasantly surprise with this place! It is a chill little place. Service was good, I was quite surprise that the food is really good. We ordered pork bun as appetizer, spicy tantan ramen and spicy miso ramen. I'll say try to order other appetizer instead, pork bun is kinda small with only one piece of meat in it, but it is very tasty though. Tantan ramen was surprisingly flavorful! The first time I had lunch here I tried to Tonkotsu ramen but was not impressed. The pork belly was flavorless and it was heavy on the corn. Broth was good. Second visit I tried the Spicy Chicken Tantan. So much better then the Tonkotsu. Full of flavor, spicy but not too hot. Good mix of veggies. If you like extra hot they have an add on called fire bomb. They have an interesting appetizer menu, I may try that next time. Restaurant is very clean with a dark interior. I went to 316 ramen during lunch and was greeted by the owners who were so friendly and welcoming. They explained the different broths and suggested the Shoyu Ramen since I've had Miso ramen before at other places. The shoyu ramen was delicious! The packaging for takeout was perfect bc they separated the broth from the rest so it wouldn't be all soggy by the time I got to work. I can literally eat those soy eggs all the time, prob my favorite part of any ramen is the eggs lol. Great food with great owners, I will 100% be going back to try everything on the menu. I recommend ALL of them - hehehe For entrees: chicken ramen, spicy miso ramen & tonkotsu ramen with fire bomb. If you are new to ramen and don't know what to order - definitely go with the chicken. All three were absolutely delightful. If you want a bit of a kick the spicy miso is a great choice. Tonkotsu is more pork (which is not my cup of tea - but the Broth was mmm mmmmm yummy). The person I was with, really enjoyed that dish. As for the ramen - this place adds a good amount in your soup! Which was nice for a chance bc usually places skimp out on that part. The three of us will definitely be back! The Hospitality is Excellent! The gentleman who worked there was very sweet and accommodating (as well as the woman who handled our food).
