The ginger dressing is decadent and perfect for any bowl. The soup dumplings are not soupy. They are more little petite steamed dumplings, nevertheless, I thought the filling was flavorful and abundant. I noticed a previous review mention the dumpling only came with soy sauce...I'm happy to report they have fixed that problem and it is soy sauce, vinegar mix which is a much better compliment to dumplings. We also had the thai iced tea with lychee. It was good. Nothing extraordinary, but good. Definitely something unique for a poke place. I prefer their sashimi stuff for the poke bowl. I thought it was fresh and tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of their tofu. One thing I wish they had was eel but of course not every place carries this protein. The sauces were standard with a variety of choices ranging from non-spicy to spicy. The proportions were generous. In terms of drinks, I preferred some of their bottled options. I thought their boba wasn't the best I've ever had and thought it was too sweet for my taste. They have one high chair which is great. I love how spacious the restaurant is. You don't feel crowded or cramped. They could definitely put in more tables if need be. Extremely good place. I've ordered delivery from them 5 or 6 times but finally went to visit in person the other day and was very pleased with the in-person experience as well. Fish tastes fresh, portions are sizable and prices are right on for the quality of the meal. The staff was extremely kind and funny, and the atmosphere inside was a bit bare-bones, which would have been a problem if it weren't for how fulfilling - literally and metaphorically - the food was. I have generally ordered poke bowls from them, but my friend ordered ramen and has a number of dietary restrictions - they complied and made a fantastic dish that fulfilled her needs very well. What can I say about a place that already has 5 stars? There's a reason it has 5 stars....and it's because it's phenomenal. First off, the staff was so sweet. I was in between a couple of proteins and the woman at counter kindly offered some samples. I ended up choosing the marinated yellowtail tuna and the marinated salmon. Both were super fresh, NOT fishy smelling at all and just flavorful without being overpowering in the bowl. Mango was rip, jalapeños weren't too spicy (they separate the seeds and soak them in water) and the seaweed salad + fried onions gave a nice added crunch. I must also add that I've never had black rice until eating here, It's delicious! Great little spot serving up fresh fish and quality ingredients. Have been waiting for something like this to come to the area since I had my first experience with poke bowls on Oahu (one of the perks of having siblings live across the country). Went with a couple of different options: classic poke bowl (straight tuna -- the iconic poke bowl in shops out on Hawaii) spicy volcano (tuna, salmon and yellowtail with a spicy mayo), and pork belly ramen. Notes on the classic: Now, this isn't Ahi pulled straight from the Pacific, but this is as close as you are going to get to authentic without hopping on a plane for 10 hours. Fish was fresh and flavorful. Rice was just the right consistency. Veggies were yummy. Definitely recommended if you are looking to get a feel for Hawaiian-style poke. Notes on the ramen: I mean, you can't go wrong with pork belly. Richness of the pork was not overwhelming. Flavors blended nicely with the noodles (nice and light). The bowl was huge (definitely plenty for two). A lot of times ramen can be too salty -- balance of the sauce was perfect here and I would definitely recommend this if you are in the mood for something warm. Conflicted on the rating here, but I try to be consistent across the board so I am docking a star for service. Servers were friendly but there was noticeable inconsistency with the protein scoops. What resulted was a lot more fish in one bowl than the other. Also was clear the server did not really know the menu (kept on looking back at the board for reference). There are literally 4 standard bowls on the menu, so I kind of expect people to take the extra 20 minutes to memorize them. Also had to remind the server that the classic bowl came with sauce (did not even give me the sauce that the menu called for and I am pretty sure the sauce was supposed to be applied to the tuna). We will certainly be back. If there are no hiccups with service, I will definitely be revising my review to 5 stars. read more

I have missed this place while going to other places to eat and I am so sorry that I did. We have lived in this area for 14+ years and have looked for a poké bowl like this many times to no avail. This spot, Sherry Blossom, is wonderful!! First we had their Veggie Gyoza which was very, very tasty, excellent in fact. The my wife and I each had a poké bowl. Now here's what I truly appreciate. They have a great selection of bases: white or black rice, salad or cauliflower rice (they were out of red quinoa). I had for the first time black rice and found it to be nice. Spicy tuna for me (2 scoops) and a combo of tuna & salmon for my wife. The fish was fresh and tasty. Then the add ins were (for me) seaweed salad, carrots, edamame, pickled red onion, scallion, ginger and some wasabi on the side of the bowl then topped with crispy fried onions. They also offer mango, pineapple and several other add ins. I had mine with ponzu (a citrus sauce) over it all but they have a ton of others available. Delicious!!! My wife said that hers was really good and almost too much for her to eat. Since it was my first visit here, the staff was patient with my slow selections as I tried to take in all of the options. So many. My wife also had a saki which she commented was very good. I can't wait to try their ramen bowls and other items on the menu! Over all this spot was a hit with us. I will be back here often when I'm in NY for the summers. Now if I could only find a decent poké bowl in South Florida, that has been my challenge over the past year while we're there for the winter. read more
