I had been putting off much needed dental work for awhile now that it finally caught up to me all at once. My wife found Dr. Shah and her wonderful staff on Yelp and had a great experience with her cleaning that I came in for a chipped crown and other much needed work. Veterans (especially OEF/OIF) DO NOT go here. I went to her for a chipped tooth. I guess she found out about my military service through my use of my fed benefits to pay for treatment ... while I was getting comfortable for the procedure she asked me if I was ever deployed and then continues to ask if I ever hurt* anyone while I was in the army in Afghanistan. (* she Used a harsher word, not sure if appropriate for yelp.) I was shocked she would ask that and her assistant seemed a little hesitant as well. It was too late to leave as she was already working in my mouth. She continued by saying my teeth were the "worst teeth she's ever seen". I was in my 20s & they may have been cracked and chipped due to my anxiety but this whole thing was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. Fast forward, the chip she fixed broke off months later & I called the office. A male (I'm assuming her husband?) told me to come on in free of charge. I came in and after having me in the chair for the fix she proceeds to tell me that no I'd have to pay regardless of what was said on the phone. Unprofessional and Callus. read more

Dr. Shah and her team are very accommodating. I always know when I am my appt. is near via their system. The office is flexible when needing to change appt. if something comes up. Dr Shah is amazing, my wife and I go there (and now my mother goes too) and she has helped me with fillings, a crown, night guards, and cleanings. She is the most thorough dentist I've ever had and always has time to discuss any questions. And she is always on time; I have never waited more than 2 minutes for my appointment to start. Since moving to Dallas a number of years ago I've been looking for a good dentist, but most places I went seemed like they either wanted to convince me on unnecessary expenses (laser whitening, etc.) or seemed unwelcoming. I had the zoom whitening done the day before Valentines day so I would have a great smile. The process was around a hour long and was very tolerable. (I've read its normally a painful procedure) The staff checked on me frequently to make sure I was comfortable and warm and went to great lengths to describe step by step what would happen next.
