Listen to the other reviews and avoid this place unless you want to spend $300-$400 for routine cleaning. I went to Katy Trail dental and paid out-of-pocket costs both times, $132 and $157 respectively, and received a bill this month (04/22) saying I still owed $250 dollars after my insurance ALREADY COVERED $455 DOLLARS!!! I would love for someone to explain to me how two cleanings should cost a patient almost $550 dollars out of pocket. I was also charged $50 dollars for canceling an appointment during the height of COVID when I was experiencing symptoms and didn't want to potentially expose the office workers. Shameful. The hygienists and office staff at this office are caring and good at what they do, but the issue is whoever is running it will overcharge for every single thing. Just be careful of the fees and make sure to be aware that you will be billed more than an average dentist. You can find better care elsewhere for a better price. read more

I had an awful experience, went in for a regular teeth cleaning and they upcharged me $300. All cleanings are covered by my insurance, they convinced me I needed additional treatments which were unnecessary and when I questioned them I was talked down to. Also charged for extra x-rays which were unneeded as I had already had x-rays done a few months prior after my surgery to which they told me those would not work. Completely unacceptable and they should be ashamed. Stay away from this office. read more

Will not be returning. As soon as I checked in, the front desk requested I pay $45 for some special X-ray that is not covered by insurance. I asked if this is a requirement for an initial visit, and the repeated response was Dr-- really likes these images". So I got the impression that this was actually not a requirement. After directly asking what my expected out of pocket expense will be, I was told it will be over $200 for new patient X-rays. I was appalled. Insurance covered X-rays every 5 years. My last X-rays were in 2018/2019 and I've had no dental work or cavities since then or within the past year. I'm not sure what the indication for forcing new patients to pay this is, clinically or ethically. I have never been billed anywhere near this, or even billed at all for new patient X-rays. I was at the dental clinic and spent over 1hr getting X-rays and an EVALUATION by a hygienist. No cleaning was performed. The final few minutes was discussion with the dentist and recommendations for a deep cleaning- who knows if that's even needed. The staff seemed nice, but I do not trust the way this practice is run. Since moving to Dallas, I've noticed the trend for many dentists is to take advantage of their patients through hidden costs. Katy Trail Dental might just be one of them. read more

I love the entire team at Katy Trail Dental! I just moved to Dallas from Austin and had a molar bothering me for some time that I knew I needed to have checked out. (Granted I have been going to bi-yearly exams in Austin for 6 years and I'm now realizing how negligent my old dentist was because of my experience with Katy Trail.) For my first visit everyone was SO friendly and listened to my concerns. I have never had a dental team take such detailed xrays, and legit selfies of each of my teeth. Dr. Fufidio sat me down and showed me the most detailed photo I've ever seen of the molar that was bothering me. You could clearly see a crack down the middle of the tooth (which already had a filling in it). As an artist, this visual addition to a routine cleaning/exam was awesome! She discussed a treatment plan and answered all of my questions with ease. I don't have dental insurance so I was able to work out a payment plan option with her team that was comfortable for my financial situation. The first visit to have my tooth prepped for the crown was an adventure. I've had fillings before but did not know what to expect for a crown! The dental hygienist and Dr. Fufidio explained each step of the procedure and kept me comfortable the whole time. I was numbed up so didn't feel a thing and really enjoyed chatting with both of them throughout the procedure. They're awesome. Yesterday was my crown placement. They made sure to let me know that they try not to numb you for this second round so that you can really feel your bite after the crown is put in. I was like "ok I got this". The second the temporary crown was about to be removed, I had to ask to be numbed. I could tell my tooth was super sensitive. They immediately made my comfort their #1 concern and I could not be more grateful. The rest of the crown placement went so smooth and I was so happy with the results. Throughout my entire experience they were so supportive and answered all of my questions. I am so grateful for the awesome dental work Dr. Fufidio and her team did for me. Overall, I had a great experience at Katy Trail Dental. Dr. Fufidio and the dental techs were all very thorough - even photographing each one of my teeth, which I've never had done before! - and did a great job of explaining what they were doing and what condition my teeth were in. (Luckily, very good condition; no cavities for the win!) They did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth, and I didn't get any sense of trying to upsell treatment (whether teeth whitening treatments or anything else.) One nice little bonus is that you get a lip balm along with your standard little dentist bag with toothbrush and toothpaste. There's easy parking in the back of the building, and they accept a wide range of dental insurance (including BlueCross BlueShield). The practice seems to be all women, which I think is rad. Only two small downsides: I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seen after the time of my appointment, and I kept getting annoying feedback emails (until I finally unsubscribed) after my visit. One feedback email is fine, but requesting it again and again is annoying. read more

Finding a dentist is not the funniest thing to do. When I moved to Dallas, first dentist I found was Katy Trail. The one thing I loved was they have afternoon appointments. Its not easy for me to go during the day. All of the staff are amazing. When you come in, they greet you by name and they always make great conversation. Dr. Fufidio is great. She's does a great job with my teeth and makes very good recommendations. At my last dentist, I would always have to come back because something wasn't right, not here! I have been a patient at Katy Trail Dental for many years. Dr. B has carried on a long tradition of first-rate dentistry. On a recent visit, she saw something that didn't look quite right on my x-rays and referred me to a specialist. As it turns out, I need surgery for a stone that formed in a salivary gland. Since I had no symptoms, I was unaware of the situation. Had Dr. Bahramnejad missed this, it could become infected and resulted in a very serious situation. I recently moved to Dallas and needed a dentist. As a dentist myself, I have high standards. I'm from way out of state and do not know the dental community at all here, so I asked a friend from dental school who is now a dental specialist who he would rec for general dentistry in the area, and that's how I found Dr. Fufidio - and boy am I happy that I did! The office itself is beautiful, quaint, and clean. Parking super easy. Dr. Fufidio's staff were great - very friendly and helpful. Her front desk/insurance person in particular was excellent at communication when I had a snag. Dr. Fufidio was very friendly and professional. I appreciated her dental care philosophy: preventative care, and definitely no over-treatment. For a young dentist she has a really solid background and training - additional experiences she chose to pursue beyond the basics of dental school to better her craft. Rookie dental office that looks to solicit as much extra care as possible. Very sales like and always expect a charge on the way out even if it's as small as Fluoride treatment she will be sure to get you for something. Oh yeah she will also insist xrays are required every time you go even if you've been to the dentist in the past year she likes to reference the law and how there's some liability that she takes on if she doesn't get the xrays...make sure to follow up with this place and make sure your balance is paid you will randomly end up in collections for something your insurance decides not to cover. All in all simply wanted a place to have basic cleanings done and still managed to run into multiple issues and extra charges along with a frustrating collection agency call about some 74 dollar X-ray back in August that wasn't required. I called I asked them to make it right or even acknowledge the issue and no response was provided. Young dentist trying to make a name for herself great personality just missing the customer service piece and overall transparency in the way she does business. Thanks for responding, I called and asked why I had never been contacted prior to being turned over to collections on some bunk X-ray charge. Going forward try to do better, if someone's insurance that is beyond up to par denies your charge for an essential practice just notify them of the situation and you are likely to have a long time patient and a happy customer base. Sending people to collections over 70 dollars on a some stupid xrays thae were not necessary is not the way to operate. read more

I found Katy Trail Dental through Circle Seven Five and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Before I had gone to the dentist, I definitely had tons of questions regarding what my first visit would entail, how much it would be with insurance, and about how long the appointment would take. There were definitely multiple messages asking questions and they were so nice during the whole process and even when the office manager was out, I even received a response from the doctor herself to ensure that I got an answer promptly! WOW! I was mostly seen by Tennille and of course, Dr. Fufidio and they were so sweet, kind, and so patient with me! I needed a longer visit to take care of everything that needed to be addressed and they didn't rush me whatsoever and assured me that everything was good! They explained how to properly care for my teeth, recommended some amazing products, and even gave me a bag with some freebies. I am having to go back to get my bleach trays and scheduled my next appointment. Kay was super helpful during rescheduling and even remembered when my prefered appointment time was when I know there are several people going into that office daily! She explained exactly what I was paying for, how much insurance paid for, what I would pay out of pocket for, and how much my next visit would be. Dr. Fufidio and her staff are wonderful. I wanted to get a chipped tooth taken care of before my wedding and of course i waited until the last minute to get it done. They were able to take care of me in time and it made for some great pictures, especially on the closeups. We joked that i probably was the only person to almost fall asleep while getting work done at the dentist.
