Came back.....it's been a while. Making some decisions on paint, having the interior painted (ceiling, walls, baseboards, doors and trim). Service was ok. Store was organized but didn't have samples I needed. Sherwin Williams is on the pricier side but it's good quality paint. Alysia's extremely poor customer service caused me to bring my business elsewhere. It's almost impossible to believe that anyone would hire this woman to represent their business in anyway shape or form. I have been buying paint from this particular store for years and prior to Alysia, I have always received very good customer service. Alysia would not answer simple questions regarding color selection, was totally unaccommodating and seemed to prefer to talk on the phone rather then to assisting customers in the store. She was like a zombie, she desperately needs customer service training as she lacked any skills in this area. I took my purchase to another Sherwin Williams paint store where a young lady by the name of Brandy gave me OUTSTANDING customer service. Brandy should be asked to train Alysia on the importance of good customer service and how to deliver it. In the future I will now be giving my business to the Sherwin Williams Paints on Escondido Blvd. and I will most certainly look for Brandy to assist me in my purchases. read more

We have had to visit this store soooo many times for our painting needs! Luckily Josh knows just about everything there is to know about paint! He was extremely helpful in explaining all the different kinds of paint you need for different rooms and projects around the house! Great customer service!!! DON'T BUT FROM SHERWIN WILLIAMS! They don't stand behind their products! After buying paint from this store I returned for some semi-gloss and asked they match the color they had sold me. I even brought leftover paint for them to match. They mixed some paint and assured me it was a match. After painting with it, it was not even close! They refused to replace it with they correct color! read more

Kyle (store manager) is very helpful and reminds you of sales/discounts. Staff is honest with advice on what is the right kind of paint for what type of room and the estimated amount of paint you need. Tip: Color samples have the complement color combination on the back so you can see what goes with it. Saves on guesswork :) read more

This store has no customer service whatsoever!! Stood around for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging I was in there, even though I was right in front of them. I understand they're busy but a simple (I'll be with you would have sufficed)! Never again! read more

This store is understaffed and The wait time is long. They do not mix lacquer paint here.

This location is very easy to find and park. I typically come between 9am and 1pm and have never had a long wait. They mix the paint very quickly and are always nice and polite. The store its self is small but has most items you will need for painting. They are priced competively. read more

My husband and I are painting our kitchen cabinets and have been going back and forth between this store and our home getting supplies. I was having a particularly tough time picking a color for the cabinets. The guy helping us (dark hair, glasses) has been super helpful and attentive in helping us figure out brushes and colors. Everything you need to paint. Variety of colors to chose from they even have a lighting box so you can change the brightness of light and see how your color looks in different lighting. The prices are higher for items such as brushes, rollers, etc. Than if you were to go to Wal-Mart but you can just look for which ones are on sale. The clerk today was different..... I have bought paint here before and they are usually extremely helpful and very polite. However today I encountered a whole different type of customer service. The manager Taylor was very busy talking to one of the employees. They were both standing behind the counter there were no other customers in the store I was standing at the other side of the counter waiting to make a purchase I needed to get three paint samples for my kitchen cabinets. I politely waited for the manager taylor to finish his story he was telling the employee. He wouldn't stop talking not even for a moment to say we will be right with you. I finally got sick of waiting and decided I didn't want to buy my paint here so I asked him what his name was he told me his name is taylor and I left the store. We went in to this store to get some paint that was on sale. It was right before the store closes, but there are lots of customers waiting in line because there was only one employee there. But she was making sure and kept notifying everyone that they will be helped shortly. I was 3rd one in line and she was being very helpful and had lots of knowledge. Even after the store closed, the door was not locked and 1 customer came in. She did not refuse him but said 'Hi!' and was glad to help this customer out. They did not have 1 item in stock so I had to buy more expensive one but she gave me a discount on it. It was very nice experience and would love to visit there next time I need some paint. read more

Best place to buy paint in Esco! Tadd, the manager, is suprr nice. The type of guy who remembers your name and takes his time to match paints accurately and to listen to what it is you need. Go to the other Escondido store this one is terrible. I have been let down by Josh the manager a couple of times now stating he would have certain paints ready for a certain time and he has failed me twice making me scavenge for the paint I need at other locations. There are a couple guys here including Josh who just act like they are too good to help you? I'm not sure what their deal is. I also had a return unfortunately I don't like to return anything but this was a customer that cancelled. This was a stock item but these guys argued and argued that they could not take it back but the reality was they just didn't want it in their store. I have purchased 5 gallon buckets of stain here before and multiple other Sherwin-Williams but this one store reallllly did not want the product on their shelves. I was not happy with the way they handled this situation. Especially how Josh kind of hid and let his other employee handle this escalation. They just have terrible attitudes they think they are better than you and we all know this is not the case! read more

Pricing is kind steep compared to what I'm use to and no assurance the paint will cover in one coat. Maybe that's the way paint is now being no VOC's in the paint anymore. We've been going here for almost 5 years. These guys are really helpful and the paint can't be beat. It's well worth the extra money to avoid the big box store paints. We tried those with terrible results, and SW paints really showed them up. You won't be disappointed. Look for their sales for great discounts. read more

Wonderful customer service. Tad, the manager, is probably one of the nicest and most professional people I've ever come across in retail. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he has helped me with numerous samples more times than I can count! We bought a house with a very dark interior, very difficult to determine paint colors and I don't know what I'd have done without this Sherwin Williams store and its employees. We had the entire exterior and interior done in the course of a week and I was pulling my hair out. But the people who work in this store were never exasperated or short with me. Plus the paint is just superior to the cheaper stuff and I needed a better quality paint for the job I had to have done. The color we bought turned out to be too light for me and I hated it. Tad just said to bring it in and they would be happy to try to tweak the color into something we'd be happier with. Sometimes you go in and they all of a sudden go from being empty to having a rush, and each time the employees, like Vera, patiently and with a smile wait on everyone in turn with a high degree of professionalism. Back in March 2014 my wife were blessed to purchase the very dream home we had been wanting for over 12 years. In the process of the purchase and the closing, my wife and I were in search of the paint, paint codes and brand of paints that we would use to accomplish a makeover of approximately 80% of our new 2500 square foot home. Fast forward to the second week of April 2014. After visiting Dunn Edwards, Frazee, Vista Paints, Benjamin Moore & a few other paint stores and major box stores, I happened to call the Sherwin Williams store located in Escondido just off Tulip Street. Based on the level of knowledge, education and customer service that was head and shoulders above all other sales reps that I had previously spoken to, decided to visit their store. Upon my arrival, their personnel picked up in person, where the store rep left off over the phone. By that I mean, Tad the store manager greeted me with the same commitment to customer service that I felt over the phone. Throughout the repaint project, the entire store has provided consistent, professional and superior support. In a day and age where social media and technology has neutered our ability (as a society) to communicate and interact a personable manner, it is refreshing to encounter young professionals like Vera, Rayna and Tad who just get it. Their collective winning attitude has help make me a better informed consumer of paint products in general and is what makes Sherwin Williams paint products a great national brand. read more
