Very nice staff! I went in this afternoon because my landlord needed a little paint for a repair I did. He had no idea of the paint brand and I said well I can take a picture and see if it can be matched closely. I went in and Danielle (hope I spelled that correctly) was so nice and she was quick! I was almost embarrassed to go in since I don't know much about paint and my landlord didn't remember the paint. She was quick and super sweet. Thanks again Danielle for the help! read more

We came by on a Saturday attempting to pick colors for our house. Shanee came over to us and was extremely helpful in location the color scheme we wanted and also showed us some omelets to give ideas. 2 stars because they answered the phone and they're close by. I called them today asking if they have a specific paint in stock. I don't specialize in paint. I work in the medical field. So I'm calling for info. He asks me what paint is it that I'm looking for, and I'm reading off the paper that I got from my builder LGI. He then laughs hard as I'm reading the paper and as if I'm an idiot and then tells me that they don't go by the paint color! Left it at that. We've been overall happy with the product and customer service. We've spent a lot of money here the last two months and most of the experiences were over all good. The few things I say that could improve are some of the new workers need to have a little more product knowledge since this is a specialty store. If this was a store that sold all construction then I could understand. When it's paint only and prices are high you would expect educated reps. The last thing is I almost feel like I'm going to buy a used car when it comes time to paying. read more

Man, amazing customer service here from the Manager Ted this past Saturday. Wife and I were in a bind needing a particular paint very last minute. Not only did he save us and match the paint we needed, but did this right as they were closing. Could of easily told us to come back on Monday. Very crappy store. Poor customer service. If you recently bought a new house and trying to claim the free paint coupon given by the sellers don't bother. They won't give it to you. 1st time I came, the guy said I need to know the contractor for them to find out the exact color. So I found out the name of the contractor and color name and number, went back ... he still said he need to know the product ... it's flat ... he says he can't make me the same color unless I know the product. He said he can make me something but can't guarantee it'll match. Don't waste your time coming here. They just don't want people claiming the free paint coupon here. read more

These people don't mind selling you really expensive paint but when problems arise and you need them to help you with your purchase they'll act dumb and will do anything to avoid helping you and make excuses on why they won't take your return. SW is hard to match even if it's their own paint; doesn't make sense does it? Anyhow, I've never had issues with Valspar or Benjamin Moore paint and their prices are MUCH better than SW. read more

I went here to get a quart of paint to match the existing paint on an exterior door. The young lady who helped me was great. She went over my options and let me know what was recommended was not what was best for the door. She mixed the paint and double checked with me to be sure I was happy with the color. If you are a novice like me this a great place to get good help and get what you need for the job. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.. shout out to the "manager" Carlos, well at least that's what he said his name was. I was told to buy paint so I called to place the order.. off the back I could tell by the tone of his voice he was having a bad day. I tried to keep a good attitude and i apologized for having to call a few times. I had to go back and forth with the questions he was giving me and let me tell you, I am not expert with paint. I am just an assistant doing my job.. he kept getting frustrated with me. So I called one last time thinking I finally got it right ... but then again, got mad and said that he is busy and is dealing with a lot of phone calls and that I was just wasting his time. I got upset because i was told to order the paint for a reason and I was doing my job. Furthermore, I had to request his name because i was very unhappy with his customer service, especially after i was told by him that he was the manager. 1. No manager should raise his voice to a customer. 2. You work in customer service.. if you don't like your job and can't handle it, LEAVE. (It doesn't give you the right to be rude over the phone and feel like you can get away with it) especially right now that we can't go inside the store because of COVID-19. I strongly believe Carlos should attend an anger management seminar. I will not go to Lathrop again. I would rather drive to Stockton than go to Lathrop and be treated like crap because customers service is everything! read more

Ive always used Kelly Moore paint but decided to go another route after i couldn't find the right paint color and exp. horrible customer service there. I tried SW in Lathrop and was immediately impressed by their colors. The store employees are extremely helpful and very patient. Micheal, was so helpful in helping me find paint colors and encouraging me to try them. Im sure glad i did cause all the colors i tried i loved (For the first time in my life)!! SW paint colors come out so nice with amazing results. When we went back to get 5g paint and supplies Leslie was very helpful in helping us pick out and buy the supplies we needed to get the job done. All her picks were right on!! The rollers, brushes, tape... Everything she recommended made the job easier and gave great results. Ive called back soo many times with my silly questions and everyone was super helpful. I needed 1 more gallon of exterior paint to finish my house that was up for sale, so I made a point of going back to the same brand I originally purchased in Stockton, because there is a paint store just down the street from where I'm staying currently, and I thought it was the same brand,...well I was wrong, and the young lady that was available to help me brought it to my attention. She explained that it's a long shot to expect to make a perfect match from another paint brand and even told me where I could find this brand in Manteca. I managed a home improvement store for 15 yrs. so I very much appreciated this info. I was in a hurry and didn't want to travel around town, so I asked her to take a shot. She made a perfect match, and from my experience, you don't see that very often. When I asked my wife to find where the patches were that I painted around the outside of the house, she couldn't. She had no clue. That young ladies (at the Sherwin Williams store) skills are 2nd to none. It's been several weeks, and I'm still thrilled about my experience with them.
