He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he also helped me create an account with them. I discussed my project with James, and he helped me decide on a sheen, mixed up a can of Swiss Coffee/Aura in a Satin finish, and it was a wrap. After laying down a few coats on my walls, I have to say that the quality of BM paint is on a different level. Be prepared to pay a few extra bucks, but also be ready to see your walls come to life! I knew I wanted to swatch the colors first on the walls and they said a sample isn't needed you can just hold up the paper swatch to the wall?? I then went to Home Depot but again was met with paint selection that didn't really match the color I was seeking. When I came here, I knew what kind of color I wanted and was helped out - right away in discerning the best type of paint for the job. You don't get the level of expertise from other places, and for me I wanted some finite info on the paint before starting my DIY project. The people here know the trends in paint, the undertones and explained how paint breakdowns work. -- You get 10% off your first purchase which is a nice perk, I will be back for future paint needs. I'm really happy with the color and even got some recommendations on a comparable swatch. In the end I purchased 5 gallons of paint, finished my whole house and I'm super pleased with the recommended eggshell mid tier paint. Zaina was extremely helpful. She asked questions about firmness, configuration, fabric etc and we narrowed down the couch fairly fast. She also reconfirmed my choices throughout the ordering process just to make sure everything was correct. Also I had multiple sales people come by and compliment me on various things. I don't know if that's something management asks the employees to do, but their compliments sounded sincere and every person I interacted with was super friendly. What really stood out was their customer service after the job was finished. A year later, Tesla upgraded one of our inverters, leaving a small exposed area where the original paint had been. From Aug 22nd to Aug 24th, I consulted with three independent painters. All three independently…read moretold me that the method used to remove the wallpaper was not appropriate. They explained that applying primer over the remaining wallpaper backing paper can seal it and the adhesive underneath, making proper removal significantly more difficult. I was also told that, in the worst-case scenario, portions of the drywall may need to be removed and replaced if the backing paper and adhesive cannot be removed without damaging the drywall. To respond to the Color Pro Inc. owner's comment: He sent me a refund offer the next day (Aug. 20th) and acknowledged that I had paid a total of $20,000 under the interior and exterior contracts ($10,000 for each, respectively). The exterior painting had not started. He offered to refund $13,800 while retaining $6,200 for what he described as materials, labor, preparation, and drywall subcontractor costs for interior painting work. Regarding the interior work, the work performed by his crew was essentially to peel off the vinyl layer of the wallpaper and apply primer over the remaining backing paper and adhesive, which was again an inappropriate method for wallpaper removal. In addition, the drywall company owner who was on site on the morning of Aug. 19th told me that the walls were not ready for retexturing. The proposed refund was conditioned on my signing a written settlement agreement releasing all claims arising from the project and termination of the agreements. I have retained the written correspondence documenting this offer. Since the matter is currently under review through my legal service, I am not planning to disclose the email itself. In addition, although the house is large, the interior painting contract covers only the walls and approximately 20% of the ceilings. There are no particularly tall walls except in the stairway area. I can provide detailed measurements later to clarify the actual scope of the interior painting work if needed.
